Three-Narrator Ahadith 195
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A woman met the Prophet ﷺ on one of the streets of Madīnah and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I have a need I would like you to fulfill for me.” He said to her, “Mother of so and so, sit on whichever side of the street you wish, and I will sit with you [and attend to your need].” So she sat down, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat with her until she had finished [telling him] what she needed.

its transmitters trustworthy, on the conditions of the two Shaykhs, al-Bukhārī and Muslim.
Chain: Aḥmad → Marwān ibn Muʿāwiya → Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl → Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) → the Prophet ﷺ. Rijāl: (1) Marwān ibn Muʿāwiya al-Fazārī, Abū ʿAbdallāh al-Kūfī (d. 193 AH): thiqa ḥāfiẓ, though he used to obscure the names of his weaker shaykhs. (2) Ḥumayd ibn Abī Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl al-Baṣrī (d. 142 AH): thiqa, a mudallis, and much of what he related from Anas he heard through Thābit al-Bunānī. (3) Anas ibn Mālik al-Anṣārī al-Khazrajī (d. ca. 93 AH), the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the last of the Companions to die at Baṣra. Takhrīj: Al-Bukhārī (6072); Muslim (2326); Aḥmad (12197). The report shows the accessibility of the Prophet ﷺ, who would attend in the open street to the need of a single woman until it was fully met, and who left the choice of place to her. Al-Bukhārī draws from it that a person of standing may sit aside with one who needs him without this diminishing him.
