مُسْنَدُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ خَادِمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ
Three-Narrator Ahadith 160
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Three things follow the dead person [to his grave]: his family, his wealth, and his deeds. Two of them return and one remains. His family and his wealth return, and his deeds remain.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 160
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، سَمِعَ أَنَسًا يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «يَتْبَعُ الْمَيِّتَ ثَلَاثٌ: أَهْلُهُ، وَمَالُهُ، وَعَمَلُهُ، فَيَرْجِعُ اثْنَانِ وَيَبْقَى وَاحِدٌ: يَرْجِعُ أَهْلُهُ وَمَالُهُ، وَيَبْقَى عَمَلُهُ».
