Three-Narrator Ahadith 123
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I was standing among the clan serving them faḍīkh — a drink made of dates — when a man came and said: “Intoxicating drinks have been prohibited.” They said: “Pour it away, Anas!” So I poured it away. [Ḥumayd] said: I asked [Anas]: “What was their drink made of?” He replied: “Unripe and ripe dates mixed.” Abū Bakr, the son of Anas, said: “That was their intoxicating drink at the time” — and Anas was listening and did not deny it. Some of those present with us said: Anas [also] said: “That was their intoxicating drink at that time.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 123
