Three-Narrator Ahadith 121
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet ﷺ said: “I entered Paradise and saw a palace of gold. I asked: ‘Whose palace is this?’ They replied: ‘It belongs to a young man from the Quraysh.’ I thought it was for me, but they said: ‘It belongs to ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb.’”

Musnad Aḥmad 121

A related longer narration adds that the Prophet ﷺ told ʿUmar: “Had it not been for your [praiseworthy] jealousy (ghayrah), I would have entered it” — to which ʿUmar replied: “O Messenger of Allah, could I ever feel jealous in your regard?” This ḥadīth is among the most famous of the virtues of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him).
