Three-Narrator Ahadith 107
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Muslims heard the Prophet ﷺ calling out over the dry well of Badr: “O Abū Jahl ibn Hishām! O ʿUtbah ibn Rabīʿah! O Shaybah ibn Rabīʿah! O Umayyah ibn Khalaf! Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true? For I have indeed found what my Lord promised me to be true.” His Companions asked: “O Messenger of Allah, are you calling out to people who have already decomposed?” He replied: “You cannot hear what I am saying any better than they can — but they are unable to answer.”
