Three-Narrator Ahadith 108
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “O assembly of the Anṣār! Did I not come to you when you were astray, and Allah guided you through me? Were you not divided, and Allah united you through me? Were you not enemies of one another, and Allah brought your hearts together through me?” They replied: “Yes indeed, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “Then why do you not say — and you would be fully entitled to say it: ‘You came to us afraid, and we gave you safety; you came as one driven out, and we gave you shelter; you came defeated, and we gave you victory’?” They said: “No — rather all favor belongs to Allah and to His Messenger.”
