He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Sonny, avoid turning to the side when you are engaged in prayer, for turning to the side produces destruction. If you must do it, do it in the voluntary, but not in the obligatory prayer.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Abu' Musa reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Every eye is adulterous, and when a woman perfumes herself and passes a company, she is such and such meaning adulterous. Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Abu Dawud and Nasa’i have something similar.

‘Ali and Mu'adh b. Jabal reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When any of you comes to pray and the imam is at a certain point, he must do as the imam does.” Tirmidhi transmitted it and said this is a gharib tradition.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Do not crave for property lest you should be absorbed in the desire of worldly life."

Whenever the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) sneezed, he would cover his mouth with his hand or a piece of cloth - thereby suppressing the sound.

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Three supplications are answered without doubt. The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveller, and the supplication of the parent for his son."

[At- Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Any woman dies while her husband is pleased with her, she will enter Jannah".

[At- Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Hasan].

Hubshi b. Junada reported God's messenger as saying, "`Ali pertains to me and I pertain to `Ali, and no one will conclude anything on my behalf but myself or `Ali." Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ahmad transmitted It on the authority of Abu Junada.

He told that God's messenger said of `Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan and al-Husain, "I am war to him who makes war on them and peace to him who makes peace with them." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Zaid b. Thabit told that God's messenger said, "Blessed is Syria," and when his hearers asked him why that was, he replied, "Because the angels of the Compassionate One are spreading their wings over it." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Abu Sa'id reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone over-sleeps and misses the witr, or forgets it, he should pray when he remembers and when he awakes.” Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Rafi‘ b. Khadij reported God’s messenger as saying, “The official who collects sadaqa in a just manner is like him who fights in God’s path till he returns home." Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Ali said that al-'Abbas asked God’s messenger about paying his sadaqa in advance before it became due, and he gave him permission to do that. Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it.

Jabir reported God’s messenger as saying, “Every act of kindness is sadaqa, and kindness includes meeting your brother with a cheerful face and pouring water from your bucket into your brother’s vessel." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Salman said he read in the Torah that the blessing of food consists in ablution after it, and when he mentioned that to the Prophet he said, “The blessing of food consists in ablution before it and ablution after it.” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Abbas reported God's Messenger as saying, “There are two eyes which will never be touched by hell, an eye which weeps from fear of God and an eye which spends the night on guard in God’s path." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Abu Umama reported the Prophet as saying, “God has given me superiority over the prophets,” or as saying, “has given my people superiority over other peoples and made spoils lawful to us.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

`Abdallah b. `Amr reported God's messenger as saying, "There will be civil strife which will wipe out the Arabs, and their slain will go to hell. During it the tongue will be more severe than blows of the sword." Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

He reported the Prophet as saying in the course of the story about the Mahdi that a man will come to him and say, "Give me, give me, Mahdi," and he will pour into His garment as much as he is able to carry. Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Buraida reported God's messenger as saying, "The inhabitants of paradise will be in a hundred and twenty rows, eighty of them from this people and forty from the rest of the peoples," Tirmidhi, Darimi and Baihaqi, in Kitab al-ba'th wan nushur, transmitted it.

Fadala b. 'Ubaid said a thief was brought to God’s Messenger, and when his hand was cut off he gave command that it should be hung on his neck. Tirmidhi, Aba Dawud, Nasa’i and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

‘Ali said that God's Messenger used to pray four rak’as before the afternoon prayer, separating them with a salutation to the angels who are near God’s presence and the Muslims and believers who come after them. Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When the stars set two rak'as should be prayed before the dawn prayer, and after the prostration two rak'as should be prayed after the sunset prayer.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

‘A’isha said that a client of God’s Messenger died leaving some property, but no relative or child, and God’s Messenger said, “Give what he has left to a man belonging to his village." Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Thauban reported God's Messenger as saying, “If any woman asks her husband for divorce without some strong reason the odour of paradise will be forbidden to her.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it.

Anas reported God's messenger as saying, "I shall be the first to come forth when mankind are resurrected; I shall be their leader when they present themselves before God; I shall be their spokesman when they are speechless; I shall be the one who is. asked to intercede for them when they are restrained; I shall be throne who gives them good tidings when they despair; honour and the keys will on that day be in my hand; the banner of praise will on that day be in my hand; and I shall be the most honourable of the descendants of Adam in my Lord's estimation. A thousand servants like concealed eggs or scattered pearls will go round me." Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Verily, there is a Fitnah (trial) for every nation and the trial for my nation (or Ummah) is wealth."

[At- Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Hasan Sahih].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Deeds of people are presented (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays. So I like that my actions be presented while I am fasting."

[At-Tirmidhi].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah the Most High says: 'From amongst my slaves, the quicker the one is in breaking the Saum (fasting), the dearer is he to me."'

[At-Tirmidhi].

I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying: "He who shoots an arrow for the sake of Allah, will have a reward equal to the emancipation of a slave."

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "A single rider is (accompanied with) Satan and two riders are (accompanied with) two Satans. Three riders form a group."

[At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The best of people is one whose life is long and his conduct is good".

[At- Tirmidhi, who categorized it as Hadith Hasan].

Abu Huraira told that when God's messenger was asked when the office of prophet had been established for him, he replied, "When Adam had not yet had his spirit joined to his body." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

`Abdallah b. Buraida told that his father quoted the Prophet as saying, "Not one of my companions will die in a land without being raised as a leader and a light for its people on the day of resurrection." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this a gharib tradition.

Abu Huraira told that Ja'far used to love the poor. He would sit with them and talk to them and they would talk to him. God's messenger used to address him by the kunya Abul Masakin (father of the poor). Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Ibn `Abbas told that when God's messenger was carrying al-Hasan b. `Ali on his shoulder a man said, "You have mounted on a fine steed, boy." The Prophet said, "And he is a fine rider." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

`Abdallah b. `Umar reported God's messenger as saying, "A fire will issue from the direction of Hadramaut (or, from Hadramaut) and assemble mankind." He was asked what he commanded them to do and replied, "Go to Syria." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Abu Umama reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Make a practice of getting up at night, for it was the custom of the pious before you, is a means of bringing you near to your Lord, an atonement for evil deeds and a preventative of sin." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Sahl b. Mu'adh b. Anas al-Juhani told that his father reported God’s Messenger as saying, "If anyone steps over people on Friday he will be made a bridge to jahannam." Tirmidhi transmitted it and said this is a gharib tradition.

Anas reported God’s messenger as saying, “He who collects more sadaqa than is due is like him who refuses to pay it.” * Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it. * Meaning that the sin committed by both is similar in its seriousness.

Anas said that God's messenger used to have himself cupped in the two veins at the sides of the neck and on the shoulder. Abu Dawud transmitted it, and Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah added that he used to have himself cupped on the 17th, 19th, and 21st.

Abu Darda’ told how God’s messenger, on an occasion when they were with him, turned his eyes to the sky and said, "This is a time when knowledge will be snatched away from men, so that they will be unable to acquire any.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Abu Umama reported God's Messenger as saying, “The best sadaqat are the shade of a large tent in God's path, the gift of a servant in God’s path, or providing in God’s path a she-camel old enough to be covered by a stallion." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

God’s Messenger sent us in a detachment and said, “When you see a mosque or hear a mu’adhdhin (The one who makes the call to prayer) do not kill anyone.” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Al-Mustaurid b. Shaddad reported the Prophet as saying, "I have been commissioned when the end of time is near and I have preceded it as this has preceded that," indicating his forefinger and his middle finger. Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported the Prophet as saying, "Hell was kindled for a thousand years till it became red, then it was kindled for a thousand years till it became white, then it was kindled for a thousand years till it became black, and it is black and dark." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone finds pleasure in receiving an answer from God in times of difficulty, he should make many supplications when times are easy.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

He reported God’s messenger as saying, “Supplicate God when you are assured of being answered, and know that God does not answer a supplication which comes from a careless and inattentive heart.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Anas reported God’s messenger as saying, “When you come upon the pastures of paradise feed on them.” On being asked what the pastures of paradise were he replied that they were circles where God is remembered. Tirmidhi transmitted it.
