"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited sales of Al-Munabadhah and Al-Mulamasah."

He said: There are narrations on this topic from Abu Sa'eed and Ibn 'Umar.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] The Hadith is Abu Hurairah is a Hasan Sahih Hadith. And the meaning of (Munabadhah) in this Hadith is when it is said: "When I throw something to you then the sale between you and I is concluded." And Al-Mulamasah is that he says: "When you touch something then the sale is concluded." Even if he did not see it at all, like if it was inside of a bag or something else. There are merely sales practices of the people of Jahiliyyah so they were prohibited.

That he gave the Prophet (saws) a gift or a camel, so the Prophet (saws) said: "Have you accepted Islam?" He said: "No." He said: "Then I have been prohibited from the Zabd (gift) of the idolaters."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. And the meaning of his saying: "I haven been prohibited from the Zabd (gifts) of the idolaters" is their gifts.

It has been reported about the Messenger (saws) that he used to accept the gifts of the idolaters while a dislike for that is mentioned in this Hadith.

And the implication is that this was after he used to accept from them, and then he later forbade their gifts.

From his father, from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "The (lone) rider is a Shaitan, and two raiders are two Shaitan. Three is a travelling party.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] The Hadith of Ibn 'Umar (no, 1673) is Hasan Sahih. We do not know of it except from this route ; as a narration of 'Asim. And he is Ibn Muhammad bin Zaid bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar.

Muhammad said: "He is trustworthy, truthful. And 'Asim bin 'Umar Al-'Umari is weak in Hadith, I do not report anything from him." The Hadith of 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (no. 1674) is better.

"The Prophet (saws) had a ring of gold made for him which he wore on his right (hand). Then he sat on the Minbar and said: 'I did indeed have this ring on my right hand' then he discarded it and the people discarded their rings."

He said: There are narrations on this topic from 'Ali, Jabir, 'Abdullah bin Ja'far, Ibn 'Abbas, 'Aishah, and Anas.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] The Hadith of Ibn 'Umar is Hasan Sahih Hadith. This Hadith has been reported similarly from 'Nafi, from Ibn 'Umar, through routes other than this, and it was not mentioned in it that the ring was on his right hand.

Anas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Listen and obey, even if an Abyssinian slave with a head like a raisin* is made governor over you.” Bukhari transmitted it. * This is said to refer to the head being small, or to the hair being crisp and curly, or short.

We went out with God’s messenger but the infidels of Quraish barred the way to the House, so the Prophet sacrificed his animals and had his head shaved, and his companions clipped their hair. Bukhari transmitted it.

He also reported God’s Messenger as saying, "No prayer is more burdensome to the hypocrites than the dawn and the evening prayer; but if they know what blessing lies in them, they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported God’s Messenger as saying, “All jinn, men, or any other creatures who hear the voice of the mu’adhdhin as far away as it is possible to hear it will testify on his behalf on the day of resurrection.” Bukhari transmitted it.

Anas said that ‘A’isha had a figured curtain with which she secluded the side of her house, but the Prophet said to her, “Remove this figured curtain of yours from us, for its pictures keep interfering with my prayer.” Bukhari transmitted it.

Abu Huraira said that the Prophet used to recite at the dawn prayer on Friday A.L.M. Tanzil1 in the first rak'a, and in the second, “Has there come upon man?"2 1. Al-Qur’an; 32. 2. Al-Qur’an; 76. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

When it was a cold, rainy night, God’s Messenger used to command the mu’adhdhin to say, “Pray in your dwellings.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Haritha b. Wahb al-Khuza‘i said, “God’s Messenger led us in a prayer of two rak'as in Mina when we were more numerous and more secure than we had ever been before.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Al-Bara’ reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone sacrifices before the prayer, he is sacrificing only for himself; but if anyone sacrifices after the prayer, his rites are complete and he has correctly followed the practice of the Muslims." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, "If I had gold to the extent of Uhud I would not like to keep any of it more than three days, except what I put aside to pay a debt.” Bukhari transmitted it.

Asma’ reported God’s messenger as saying, "Spend, do not calculate and so have God calculating against you, do not hoard and so have God hoarding from you, but give such small amounts as you can.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Umm Salama reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone drinks from silver vessels the fire of jahannam will bubble in his belly.” (Bukhari and Muslim.) A version by Muslim has, “He who eats and drinks from vessels of silver and gold.”

Abu Musa said that when a house in Medina was burned down during the night over its inhabitants and the Prophet was told, he said, “This fire is just an enemy to you, so when you go to sleep extinguish it.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported the Prophet as saying, “God is charmed with people who will enter paradise in chains.”* A version has, “who will be led to paradise in chains.” *This is explained as meaning non-Muslims who are taken prisoner and accept Islam. Bukhari transmitted it.

`Abdallah[*] reported God's messenger as saying, "God is not hidden from you, God most high is not one-eyed, but the antichrist is blind in the right eye, his eye looking like a floating grape." *i.e., Ibn Mas'ud (Bukhari and Muslim.)

`A'isha told that when nomadic Arabs came and asked the Prophet about the last hour, he would look at the youngest of them and say, "If this one lives, he will not become decrepit before your hour comes to you." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported God's messenger as saying, "All the descendants of Adam have their sides pierced by the devil with two of his fingers at birth, except the son of Mary. He went to pierce him, but pierced the membrane covering him." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “He who wishes to have his earnings grow (and be blessed) and his term of life prolonged, he should keep ties with his kin” Related by Al-Bukhari.

Ibn Mas’ud (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “One of the things people have learned from the words of the earliest prophecies is, “If you don’t feel any shame, do whatever you like.” Related by Al-Bukhari.

Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) said, "Is it not the case that when a woman menstruates, she neither prays nor fasts?"[12] [Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim. It is part of a long Hadith]

A mouse fell into some ghee and died. The Prophet (SAW) was asked about it and he replied, "Throw it - and what is surrounding (touching) it - away and eat it (that which remained untouched)." [Reported by al-Bukhari].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) had himself cupped and gave the one who cupped him his pay; and if it were prohibited he would not have given him (his pay). [Reported by al-Bukhari].

The Prophet (SAW) said, "He who develops land that does not belong to anyone, has the most right to it." 'Urwa said that 'Umar ruled according to that during his caliphate. [Reported by al-Bukhari]

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Give gifts to one another and you will love one another." [al-Bukhari reported it in al-Adab al-Mufrad; Abu Ya'la reported it with a Hasan (good) chain of narrators].

A prostration while reciting Surat Sad (Surah 38) is not one of the 'Azaa'im (those which are always required), but I have seen Allah's Messenger (SAW) prostrating while reciting it. [Reported by al-Bukhari].

"He used to pray ten Rak'at (of prayer), and making it Witr by one Rak'at, and he used to pray the two (Sunnah) Rak'at of Fajr, so that it became thirteen Rak'at."

) I seek refuge in Allah. (Then you should desist from doing what you are in doubt about.) Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 6/336, Muslim 1/120.

Allāhumma aghithnā, Allāhumma aghithnā, Allāhumma aghithnā. O Allah, send us rain. O Allah, send us rain. O Allah, send us rain. Reference: Al-Bukhari 1/224, Muslim 2/613.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “Faith has over seventy branches, the most excellent of which is the declaration that there is no god but God, and the humblest of which is the removal of what is injurious from the road. And modesty is a branch of faith.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Wahb b. Munabbih, on being asked whether ‘There is no god but God’ was not the key of paradise, said, “Yes, but every key has wards. If you bring a key with wards the door will be opened for you, otherwise I it will not.” Bukhari transmitted it in a chapter heading.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “Except Mary and her son, no human being is born without the devil touching him, so that he raises his voice crying out because of the devil's touch” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, "When Ramadan begins the gates of heaven are opened." A version has, "The gates of paradise are opened, the gates of jahannam are locked, and the devils are chained." Another has, "The gates of mercy are opened." (Bukhari and Muslim).

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone forgets when he is fasting and eats or drinks he should complete his fast, for it is only God who has fed him and given him drink.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Jabir said that in the course of a journey God’s messenger saw a crowd and a man who had been put in the shade. On asking the reason and being told that he was fasting he said, “Fasting while on a journey is not a part of righteousness.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Ibn ‘Abbas said, "I never saw the Prophet singling out any day’s fast and considering it more excellent than another, except this day, the day of ‘Ashura’,* and this month, meaning the month of Ramadan." *The 10th of Muharram. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

‘A'isha said, “During his private devotional exercises God’s messenger would put his head near me when he was in the mosque, and I would comb it; and he entered the house only to relieve himself.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He and Abu Sa'id reported the Prophet as saying, “No Muslim is afflicted by difficulty, continuous pain, anxiety, grief, injury, or care, or even by a thorn with which he is pierced, without God thereby making an atonement for his sins.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He said the Prophet gave the people news of the death of the Negus on the day on which he died, took them out to the place of prayer, drew them up in rows and said “God is most great” four times. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Ibn ‘Abbas told that Sa'd b. ‘Ubada asked the Prophet for a decision about a vow taken by his mother who had died before fulfilling it, and that he gave decision that he should fulfil it on her behalf. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone points a piece of iron at his brother the angels will curse him till he puts it down, even if he is his brother who has the same father and mother.” Bukhari transmitted it.

Abu Musa reported God’s Messenger as saying, “I swear by God that if God will, I shall not swear an oath and then consider something else to be better than it without making atonement for my oath and doing the thing that is better.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "A believer continues to guard his Faith (and thus hopes for Allah's Mercy) so long as he does not shed blood unjustly".

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Many people misappropriate (acquire wrongfully) Allah's Property (meaning Muslims' property). These people will be cast in Hell on the Day of Resurrection".

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "When someone spends on his family seeking his reward for it from Allah, it is counted as a charity from him".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Jibril kept recommending treating neighbours with kindness until I thought he would assign a share of inheritance".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "May he be miserable, the worshipper of the dinar and dirham, and the worshipper of the striped silk cloak. If he is given anything, he is satisfied; but if not, he is unsatisfied".

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Make things easy and do not make them difficult, cheer the people up by conveying glad tidings to them and do not repulse (them)."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) prohibited us from wearing brocade or silk and drinking out of gold or silver vessels and said, "These are meant for them (disbelievers) in this world and for you in the Hereafter."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "All that is left from Prophethood is the glad tidings." He was asked what the glad tidings were, and he said, "The good dream."

I went to the Prophet (PBUH) and knocked at the door (to seek permission). He asked, "Who is there?" I said: "I". He repeated, " I, I?!" as if he disliked it.

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "Those who will receive the most severe punishment from Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be painters (of living objects)."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Those who draw pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection; and it will be said to them: 'Breathe soul into what you have created."'

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "He who allows (others) to wail over his death, will be punished for it on the Day of Resurrection."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "No one of you should meet a woman in privacy unless she is accompanied by a Mahram (i.e., a relative within the prohibited degrees)."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "If one does not eschew lies and false conduct, Allah has no need that he should abstain from his food and his drink."

[Al-Bukhari].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "It will not happen that the feet soiled with dust while (doing Jihad) in the way of Allah, will be touched by the fire (of Hell)."

[Al- Bukhari].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Do not wish for an encounter with the enemy. Pray to Allah to grant you safety; (but) when you encounter them, show patience."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The similitude of one who remembers his Rubb and one who does not remember Him, is like that of the living and the dead."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When you hear the Mu'adhdhin (pronouncing the call to Salat), repeat after him what he says."

I heard the Prophet (PBUH) saying, "He who recites the two Ayat at the end of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him."

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) never found fault with food. If he had inclination to eating it, he would eat; and if he disliked it, he would leave it.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) permitted Zubair and `Abdur-Rahman bin `Auf (May Allah be pleased with them) to wear silk because they were suffering from an itch.

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "He who has eaten from this plant (i.e., garlic) should not approach us and should not offer Salat (prayer) along with us."

[Al- Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "No woman should touch another woman's body and then describe the details of her figure to her husband in such a manner as if he was looking at her."

[Al- Bukhari].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "If you get wind of the outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; and if it breaks out in a land in which you are, do not leave it."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

A man asked the Prophet (PBUH) for an advice and he (PBUH) said, "Do not get angry". The man repeated that several times and he replied, "Do not get angry".

[Al-Bukhari].

You indulge in (bad) actions which are more insignificant to you than a hair while we considered them at the time of Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to be great destroying sins".

The Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Verily, 'Allah, the Exalted, becomes angry, and His Anger is provoked when a person does what Allah has declared unlawful".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, " I have been commanded to go to a town which will devour all towns. People call it Yathrib, but it is Medina. It drives away people as the bellows drives away the impurity of iron.” Bukhari and Muslim.

Ibn ‘Abbas told that the people were departing in all directions, so God’s messenger said, “None of you must go off till his obligations at the House are complete, except that this is remitted for a woman who is in her courses.” Bukhari and Muslim.

Ibn ‘Abbas said that the Prophet was being questioned on the day of sacrifice at Mina and said, “No harm will come.” A man who consulted him said, “I threw the pebbles after the evening had come,” and he replied, “No harm will come.” Bukhari transmitted it.

‘Ali said that God’s messenger put him in charge of his sacrificial I camels, telling him to give their flesh, skins and saddle-cloths as sadaqa,but not to give anything to the butcher, saying he would pay him himself. Bukhari and Muslim.

Malik b. al-Huwairith said that he and a cousin of his came to the Prophet, who said, “When you two are on a journey, you should call the adhan and repeat the iqama, then the older of you should act as imam.” This is how Bukhari transmitted it.

‘Uqba b. ‘Amir said that God’s Messenger was presented with a silk gown which he put on and wore while praying. Then when he withdrew he pulled it off vigorously as though he disapproved of it, saying, “This is not fitting for the pious.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

‘Abdallah b. Mughaffal reported the Prophet as saying, “Pray before the sunset prayer,” adding when saying it a third time, “This applies to those who wish to do so.” That was because he did not wish the people to treat it as a sunna. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Masruq said he asked ‘A’isha what action was most pleasing to God’s Messenger and she replied that it was what one keeps on doing. He asked at what time he got up at night and she said it was at cockcrow. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The religion is ease, but if anyone overdoes it it gets the better of him; so keep to the right course, approximate to perfection, rejoice, and ask help in the morning, the evening, and some of the latter part of the night.” Bukhari transmitted it.

'A’isha said, ''I never saw God’s Messenger laugh to such an extent that I could see his uvula, he would only smile ; and when he saw clouds or wind his face showed signs [of fear].” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Anas said he was not aware of the Prophet having seen a thin loaf till he met God, [i.e. during his lifetime.] nor did he ever see with his eye a sheep roasted in its skin. Bukhari transmitted it.

Anas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “No one who enters paradise will want to return to the world and have anything in the earth except the martyr. He will wish to return to the world and be killed ten times because of the honour he sees.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Bashir al-Ansari told that when he was with God's Messenger on one of his journeys God’s Messenger sent one to say, “No necklace of bowstring or anything else must be left on a camel’s neck, but must be cut off.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, "Kisra will perish and there will be no Kisra after him, Qaisar will certainly perish and there will be no Qaisar after him, and their treasures will certainly be divided in God's path." He also called war a method of deceit. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, "I have been commissioned from among the best of the generations of Adam's descendants, generation after generation, till I came into being in the generation in which I have come." Bukhari transmitted it.

Jabir said that when God's messenger was asked for anything he never said, "No[*]." *Mirqat, 5:388, explains this as meaning that he either gave what was asked or explained why he could not, and refers to Quran, 17:28. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Ibn `Abbas said God's messenger was commissioned at the age of forty, he remained in Mecca thirteen years receiving revelations, after which he was ordered to emigrate, he was an emigrant for ten years and died at the age of sixty-three. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated, ‘A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, advise me.” The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Do not get angry.” The man repeated that several times and he replied, “Do not get angry.” Related by Al-Bukhari.

"Those are the worst of creatures."

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Pray standing and if you are unable, pray sitting and if you cannot, pray lying on your side, [otherwise pray by signs]." [Reported by al-Bukhari, (without the final words)].

The Prophet (SAW) (made a journey during which) he had a stop of nineteen days, during which he shortened his prayers. [Al-Bukhari]

And in a narration: "(he (SAW) stayed) nineteen days in Makkah."

We used to offer the Friday prayer with Allah's Messenger (RA) and return (to our homes) while the walls had no shade for us to go under (at that time). [Agreed upon. This is the wording of al-Bukhari].

Astaghfirullāha wa atūbu ilayh. I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him. (Recite one hundred times in Arabic during the day.) Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 11/101, Muslim 4/2075.

Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, "My people will be summoned on the day of resurrection with white faces and hands and feet from the marks of ablution. If any of you can extend his brightness, let him do so." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported the Prophet as saying, “If anyone accepts other people’s belongings meaning to pay back, God will pay back for him; but if anyone accepts them meaning to squander them, God will on that account destroy his property.” Bukhari transmitted it.

Abu Huraira told that the Ansar asked the Prophet to divide the palm-trees between them and their brethren, but he replied, “No; save us the trouble of maintenance and we shall share the fruit with you.” They said, “We hear and we obey." Bukhari transmitted it.

‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When one of you is invited to a wedding-feast he must attend it.” In a version by Muslim he said, “He must accept, whether it is a wedding-feast or something of that nature.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The worst kind of food is that at a wedding-feast to which the rich are invited and from which the poor are left out. If anyone rejects an invitation he has disobeyed God and His Messenger.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)
