“The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) had the operation of cupping performed upon him, and on his instructions I gave the cupper his fee.”

The Prophet (saws) used his right hand for getting water for ablution and taking food, and his left hand for his evacuation and for anything repugnant.

The Prophet (saws) said: Nothing interrupt prayer, but repulse as much as you can anyone who passes in front of you, for he is just a devil.

The Prophet (saws) said: (Does) one of you kneel down in his prayer as a camel kneels down (i.e. put his knees before his hands).

Tamim reported this tradition from the Prophet (saws) as (Hadith No 863). This version adds: Then zakat will be considered in a similar way. Then all the actions will be considered accordingly.

The Prophet (saws) said: The prayer a man offers in his house is more excellent than his prayer in this mosque of mine except obligatory prayer.

When the Prophet (saws) made supplication (to Allah) he would raise his hands and wipe his face with his hands.

He (the Prophet) did not stand near it (the jamrah).

The Prophet (saws) said about a man who has sexual intercourse with a menstruating woman: He should give one or half dinar as sadaqah.

The Prophet (saws) said: The day of Arafah, the day of sacrifice, the days of tashriq are (the days of) our festival, O people of Islam. These are the days of eating and drinking.

The Prophet (saws) passed by Hamzah who was disfigured (after being killed). He did not offer prayer over any martyr except him.

The Prophet (saws) said: If anyone is given life-tenancy, it belongs to him and to his descendants. His descendants who inherit him will inherit from it.

The Prophet (saws) said: the similitude of a man who emancipates a slave at the time of his death is like that of a man who gives a present after satisfying his appetite.

A man wearing two red garments passed the Prophet (saws) and gave him a greeting, but he did not respond to his greeting.

The Prophet (saws) said: If a woman fumigates herself with perfume, she must not attend the night prayer with us. Ibn Nufayl said: Isha' means night prayer.

The Prophet (saws) used to wear tanned leather sandals and dye his beard yellow with wars and saffron, and Ibn 'Umar used to do that too.

The Prophet (saws) said: This people of mine is one to which mercy is shown. It will have no punishment in the next world, but its punishment in this world will be trials, earthquakes and being killed.

The Prophet (saws) said: The place of assembly of the Muslims at the time of the war will be in al-Ghutah near a city called Damascus, one of the best cities in Syria.

The Prophet (saws) said: No recompense is to be demanded if one is kicked by an animal.

Abu Dawud said: An animal kicks someone with its leg while one is riding on it.

The Prophet (saws) said: If anyone loves for Allah's sake, hates for Allah's sake, gives for Allah's sake and withholds for Allah's sake, he will have perfect faith.

The Prophet (saws) said: If the property of anyone is designed to be taken away without any right and he fights and is killed, he is a martyr.

The Prophet (saws) said: On the Day of resurrection Allah will not accept repentance or ransom from him who learns excellence of speech to captivate thereby the hearts of men, or of people.

Some relative of Umm Salamah said: The bed of the Prophet (saws) was set as a man is laid in his grave; the mosque was towards his head.

The Prophet (SWAS) and his companions used to sacrifice the camel with its left leg tied and it remained standing on the rest of his legs.

It is not fitting for a prophet to say : I am better than Jonah son of matta.

Allah knows best about what they were doing.

When the Prophet (saws) prayed the dawn prayer, he sat cross-legged where he was till the sun had come well up.

The worst of the people is a man who is double-faced; he presents one face to some and another to others.

It is narrated by Ya’la bin Umayyah that a man came to Prophet (saws) at Ji’ranah, putting on ihram for ‘Umrah. He had a cloak on him and his beard and head had been dyed.

Ibn ‘Umar said The Apostle of Allaah(saws) did not give up touching the Yamani corner and the (Black) Stone in each of his circumambulations. Ibn ‘Umar used to do so.

Nafi’ said “Ibn ‘Umar used to nap for a short while at Batha’ (i.e, Al Muhassab) and then enter Makkah.” He thought that Apostle of Allaah(saws) used to do so.

The Prophet (saws) as saying: If anyone dies when some fast due from him has been unfulfilled, his heir must fast on his behalf.

‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir reported the Apostle of Allaah (saws) as saying “The condition worthier to be fulfilled by you is the one by which you made the private parts (of your wife) lawful (for you).

The Prophet (saws) as saying: If anyone prays in a day and a night twelve rak'ahs voluntarily (supererogatory prayer), a house will be built from him in Paradise on account of these (rak'ahs).

We used to offer the Maghrib prayer with the Prophet (saws) and then shoot arrows, one of us could see the place where arrow would fall.

The Prophet (saws) used to say the Maghrib prayer immediately after the sun had set when its upper side would disappear.

The Prophet of Allah (saws) said: There are seven takers in the first rak'ah and five in the second rak'ah of the prayer offered on the day of the breaking of the fast.

A similar tradition has also been narrated by Jabir bin ‘Abd Allaah from the Prophet (saws). But this version adds after the phrase “their due” And do not go beyond the destinations.

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by ‘Ali bin Hussain through a different chain of narrators. This version adds “He (the Prophet) did not provide her with a slave.”

The Prophet was asked about seawater, and he said: "Its water is a means of purification, and its dead meat is permissible." (Hasan) Another chain with similar wording.

The Prophet used to perform ablution for every prayer, but on the day of the conquest of Makkah, he performed all of the prayers with one ablution.

The Prophet said concerning one who has intercourse with a woman when she is menstruating: "Let him give a Dinar or half a Dinar in charity."

The Prophet said to her, when she was menstruating: "Undo your braids and bathe." (Sahih)(A narrator) 'Ali said in his narration: "Undo your head."

the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "May Allah have mercy on us and on our brother of 'Ad." (i.e., Prophet Hud alay-salaam).

"Hasan and Hussain came running to the Prophet (SAW) and he embraced them and said: 'Children make a man a miser and a coward.'"

whenever the Prophet (saas) went to bed, he would blow into his hands, recite Al-Mu'awwidhatain, then wipe his hands over his body.

When the Prophet (saw) observed I’tikaf, his bedding would be spread for him, or his bed would be placed there for him, behind the Pillar of Repentance.

”A believer should not be killed in retaliation for the murder of a disbeliever, and a person who has a treaty should not be killed during the time of the treaty.”

“A grateful eater will have a reward like that of a patient fasting person.”

“The Prophet (saw) would not go out on the Day of Fitr until he had had given his Companions some of the charity of Fitr to eat.”

“A man came to the Prophet (saw) and said: ‘Which fasting is better after the month of Ramadan?’ He said: ‘The month of Allah which is called Muharram.’”

“The Prophet (saw) did not suffer any injury or thorn- prick but he would apply henna to it.”

It was narrated from ‘Ubadah bin Samit that the Prophet (saw) awarded one quarter of the spoils to those who attacked the enemy at the beginning and one third to those who attacked at the end.

“It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for more than one day’s distance without a Mahram.”

‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr narrated that the Prophet (saw) told him to seat ‘Aishah behind him on his riding animal, and perform ‘Umrah with her from Tan’im.

“Prayer should be done with Iqamah.”

“There are five vermin that might be killed whether one is in or outside the sacred precincts: the snake, the speckled crow, the mouse, the vicious dog, and the kite.”

It was narrated from Talhah bin ‘Ubaidullah that the Prophet (saw) gave him some wild donkey meat, and told him to distribute it among his Companions, who were in Ihram.

“I heard him reciting ‘By the fig, and the olive’.”[Al-Tin (95)]

“Rabbighfir li, Rabbighfir li (O Lord forgive me, O Lord forgive me).”

The Prophet (saw) said: “I was commanded not to tuck up my hair or my garment.”*
*Drawing together during prostration to protect it from the dirt.

“Whoever performs twelve Rak’ah (of Sunnah) during the day and night, a house will be built for him in Paradise.”

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that when the Prophet (saw) went out to ‘Eid (prayers), he would return via another route than the first one he took.

“One prayer in this mosque of mine is better than one thousand prayers in any other mosque except the Sacred Mosque.”

“The Prophet (SAW) said: ‘Offer the (funeral) prayer for your children, for they have gone ahead of you (i.e. to prepare your place in Paradise for you).”

“Allah does not look at your forms or your wealth, rather He looks at your deeds and your hearts.”

“Allah accepts the repentance of His slave so long as the death rattle has not yet reached his throat.”

“The Fire will consume all of the son of Adam except the mark of prostration. Allah has forbidden the Fire to consume the mark of prostration.’”

It was narrated from ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray Witr when the adhan was given and he prayed two rak`ahs when the iqamah was given.

It was narrated from ‘Ali that Al-`Abbas bin `Abdul-Muttalib asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about paying zakah in advance and he gave him a concession allowing him to do that.

The Prophet (ﷺ) promised me, no one would love me except a believer and no one would hate me except a hypocrite.

“Do not pray after ‘Asr unless you pray when the sun is still high.`

`Do not pray after ‘Asr, unless you pray when the sun is still high.”

“I have relieved you of zakah on horses and slaves, so give one quarter of one tenth.”

“Let one of you put something in front of him the height of the back of a saddle, then pray.`

She also said, “The Prophet was accustomed to use the tooth-stick and then give it to me to wash it. I would first use it myself, then wash it and hand it to him.” Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Umar told that the Prophet said when he broke his fast, “Thirst has gone, the arteries are moist, and the reward is sure, if God wills.” Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Samura b. Jundub told that the Prophet, forbade selling animal for animals when payment was to be made at a later date. Tirmidhi, Abu Da.wud, Nasa’i, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it.

Jabir said the Prophet decreed the right to buy neighbouring property applicable to everything which is not divided, but when boundaries were fixed and separate roads made there was no option. Bukhari transmitted it.

‘Alqama b. Wa’il reported his father as saying that the Prophet assigned him land in Hadramaut, sending Mu'awiya with him and telling him to give it to him. Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it.

He said he separated a slave girl from her child, but when the Prophet forbade him to do that he cancelled the transaction. Abu Dawud transmitted it with a break in the isnad.

Buraida reported the Prophet as saying, “When we appoint someone to an administrative post and provide him with an allowance, anything he takes beyond that is unfaithful dealing." Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Umar said that a man came to the Prophet and asked what makes it necessary for one to perform the pilgrimage. He replied, “Provisions and a riding-beast. ’ ’ Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Umar said that the Prophet combined the sunset and the evening prayer, each with an iqama, but did not say ‘Glory be to God’ between them, or at the end of each one of them. Bukhari transmitted it.

the snake, the pied crow, the rat, the biting dog and the kite." Bukhari and Muslim.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported the Prophet as saying, “One who is in the sacred state may kill a dangerous wild beast.” Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Concerning God’s words, “The recitation of the dawn is witnessed,” (Al-Qur’an, 17:78). Abu Huraira quoted the Prophet as saying, "The angels of the night and the angels of the day are present at it.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

The Prophet saw a servant of ours called Aflah blowing when he prostrated himself, and said, “Throw dust on your face, Aflah.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Abbas said that the Prophet prostrated himself when an-Najm (Al-Qur'an; 53) was revealed, and the Muslims, the ploytheists, jinn and men prostrated themselves along with him. Bukhari transmitted it.

She said, “When the Prophet prayed the two rak'as of the dawn prayer, he would talk to me if I was awake, otherwise he would lie down.” Muslim transmitted it.

Anas said that when it was very cold the Prophet observed the prayer early, and when it was very hot he delayed the prayer till it was cooler. The reference is to the Friday prayer. Bukhari transmitted it.

‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar reported the Prophet as saying, “A tenth is payable on what is watered by rain or wells, or from underground moisture, and a twentieth on what is watered by draught camels.” Bukhari transmitted it.

Anas said the Prophet forbade men to use saffron. (Mirqat, iv, 461, says this applies to their clothing and their bodies, as it is a female custom but does not prohibit a small use of it.) (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Ibn ‘Umar said the Prophet prohibited wine, maisir, the kuba,/i>, and ghubaira’ which is an intoxicating drink made by Abyssinians from millet. It is called sukruka. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
