Jami` at-Tirmidhi 712
Abu Sa'eed (Al-Khudri) narrated:
"We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah during the month of Ramadan. No one objected to the fast of the one fasting nor the fast breaking of the one who broke his fast."
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ كُنَّا نُسَافِرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي رَمَضَانَ فَمَا يَعِيبُ عَلَى الصَّائِمِ صَوْمَهُ وَلاَ عَلَى الْمُفْطِرِ إِفْطَارَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ شَيْئًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَّتَ لأَهْلِ الْمَشْرِقِ الْعَقِيقَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ هُوَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ .

The Prophet said: "Stoning the Jimari and Sa'i between As-Safa and Al-Marwah are only done for the establishment of Allah's remembrance."
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ رَمْىُ الْجِمَارِ وَالسَّعْىُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ لإِقَامَةِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَمَرَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنْ يُعْمِرَ عَائِشَةَ مِنَ التَّنْعِيمِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Bilal bin Yahya Al-Absiy narrated that:
Hudaifah (bin Al-Yaman) said: "When I do not announce about me to anyone, indeed I fear that it would be An-Na'i, and I heard the Messenger of Allah prohibiting from An-Na'i."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الْعَبْسِيُّ، عَنْ بِلاَلِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْعَبْسِيِّ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ إِذَا مِتُّ فَلاَ تُؤْذِنُوا بِي أَحَدًا إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ نَعْيًا فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّعْىِ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى رَجُلٍ أَتَى رَجُلاً أَوِ امْرَأَةً فِي الدُّبُرِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَرَوَى وَكِيعٌ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ .

Ibn Mas'ud narrated:

He said: There are narrations on this topic from 'Umar, 'Ali, Jabir [and Abu Juhaifah].
The Hadith of 'Abdullah (bin Mas'ud) is a Hasan Sahih Hadith.

"One who brings peace between people is not a liar, he says something good, or reports something good."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ، قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

'Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
"How wonderful it is for one of them that he obeys Allah and fulfills the rights of his master." Meaning the slave. And Ka'b said: "Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth."
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" نِعِمَّا لأَحَدِهِمْ أَنْ يُطِيعَ رَبَّهُ وَيُؤَدِّيَ حَقَّ سَيِّدِهِ " يَعْنِي الْمَمْلُوكَ . وَقَالَ كَعْبٌ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى وَابْنِ عُمَرَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

"Indeed there are two traits in you that Allah loves: Forbearance, and deliberateness."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لأَشَجِّ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ
" إِنَّ فِيكَ خَصْلَتَيْنِ يُحِبُّهُمَا اللَّهُ الْحِلْمُ وَالأَنَاةُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ الأَشَجِّ الْعَصَرِيِّ .

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

" أَلَمْ تَرَىْ أَنَّ مُجَزِّزًا نَظَرَ آنِفًا إِلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ وَأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ الأَقْدَامُ بَعْضُهَا مِنْ بَعْضٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْدِيُّ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ فَهُوَ فِي ذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ فَلاَ يُتْبِعَنَّكُمُ اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ ذِمَّتِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جُنْدَبٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

" اشْهَدُوا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَجُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً وَأُمُورًا تُنْكِرُونَهَا " . قَالُوا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " أَدُّوا إِلَيْهِمْ حَقَّهُمْ وَسَلُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي لَكُمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2216
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said:
"When Kisra is ruined, there will be no Kisra after him, and when Caesar is ruined, there will be no Caesar after him. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! You shall spend their treasures in Allah's cause."
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِذَا هَلَكَ كِسْرَى فَلاَ كِسْرَى بَعْدَهُ وَإِذَا هَلَكَ قَيْصَرُ فَلاَ قَيْصَرَ بَعْدَهُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتُنْفَقَنَّ كُنُوزُهُمَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said:
"In Paradise there is a tree, a rider will travel in its shade for a hundred years without reaching an end." He said: "And that is the extended shade."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسٌ الدُّورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ فِرَاسٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةٌ يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ عَامٍ لاَ يَقْطَعُهَا وَقَالَ ذَلِكَ الظِّلُّ الْمَمْدُودُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ .

"The people of Paradise are without body hair, Murd, with Kuhl(on their eyelids), their youth does not come to an end, and their clothes do not wear out."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَأَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

" نَارُكُمْ هَذِهِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ لِكُلِّ جُزْءٍ مِنْهَا حَرُّهَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ .

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) said to me: 'When two men come to you seeking judgement, do not judge for the first until you have heard the statement of the other. Soon you will know how to judge.'"
'Ali said: "I did not err since then."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِذَا تَقَاضَى إِلَيْكَ رَجُلاَنِ فَلاَ تَقْضِ لِلأَوَّلِ حَتَّى تَسْمَعَ كَلاَمَ الآخَرِ فَسَوْفَ تَدْرِي كَيْفَ تَقْضِي " . قَالَ عَلِيٌّ فَمَا زِلْتُ قَاضِيًا بَعْدُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .

Narrated 'Ali:
"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited that an animal with a A'dab (stump) horn or ear should be slaughtered as a sacrifice." Qatadah (one of the narrators) said: "So I mentioned this to Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab and he said: 'The A'dab is that which equals or more than that.'"

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Ath-Thawri and others reported it from Abu Ishaq.

That the Prophet (saws) said: "Whoever asks Allah to be killed in His cause sincerely from his heart, Allah shall give him the reward of martyrdom.
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
The Prophet (saws) entered (Makkah) during they year of the Conquest, and upon his head was a helmet (Mighfar). It was said to him: 'Ibn Khatal is clinging to the covering of the Ka'bah.' So he said: 'Kill him.'"
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib. We do knot know of anyone important who reported it other than Malik from Az-Zuhri.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ . فَقَالَ
" اقْتُلُوهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُ كَبِيرَ أَحَدٍ رَوَاهُ غَيْرَ مَالِكٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ .

" ابْغُونِي ضُعَفَاءَكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا تُرْزَقُونَ وَتُنْصَرُونَ بِضُعَفَائِكُمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

"When the Messenger of Allah (saws) arrived from Tabuk, the people went out to Thaniyyah Al-Wada' to meet him." As-Sa'ib said: "I went out with the people, and I was a boy."
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from 'Ali and Ibn Mas'ud. The Hadith if 'Aishah is Hasan Sahih Hadith.

" إِنَّ أَحْسَنَ مَا غُيِّرَ بِهِ الشَّيْبُ الْحِنَّاءُ وَالْكَتَمُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَأَبُو الأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيُّ اسْمُهُ ظَالِمُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُفْيَانَ .

Sahih Muslim 2281
Jabir reported that a person came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and asked for food. And he gave him half a wasq of barley, and the person and his wife and their guests kept on making use of it (as a food) until he weighed it (in order to find out the actual quantity, and it was no more). He came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) (and informed him about it). He said:
Had you not weighed it, you would be eating out of it and it would have remained intact for you.
وَحَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ،
عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَسْتَطْعِمُهُ فَأَطْعَمَهُ شَطْرَ وَسْقِ شَعِيرٍ
فَمَا زَالَ الرَّجُلُ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ وَامْرَأَتُهُ وَضَيْفُهُمَا حَتَّى كَالَهُ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
فَقَالَ
" لَوْ لَمْ تَكِلْهُ لأَكَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ وَلَقَامَ لَكُمْ " .

Iyas reported on the authority of his father:
I (had the honour of) leading the white mule on which rode Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and with him were Hasan and Husain, till it reached the apartment of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him). The one amongst them was seated before him and the other one was seated behind him.

النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَمَّارٍ - حَدَّثَنَا إِيَاسٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ لَقَدْ قُدْتُ
بِنَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ بَغْلَتَهُ الشَّهْبَاءَ حَتَّى أَدْخَلْتُهُمْ حُجْرَةَ
النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَذَا قُدَّامَهُ وَهَذَا خَلْفَهُ .

'A'isha reported:
I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: There is nothing (in the form of trouble) that comes to a believer even if it is the pricking of a thorn that there is decreed for him by Allah good or his sins are obliterated.

عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
يَقُولُ
" مَا مِنْ شَىْءٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ تُصِيبُهُ إِلاَّ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً أَوْ حُطَّتْ
عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ " .

" A listener listened to our praising Allah (for) His goodly trial of us. Our Lord! acompany us, guard us and bestow upon us Thy grace. I am seeker of refuge in Allah from the Fire."

عَلَيْنَا عَائِذًا بِاللَّهِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) thus told him:
When a non-believer does good he is made to taste Its reward in this world. And so far as the believer is concerned, Allah stores (the reward) of his virtues for the Hereafter and provides him sustenance in accordance with his obedience to Him.
حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ التَّيْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ

" إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ إِذَا عَمِلَ حَسَنَةً
أُطْعِمَ بِهَا طُعْمَةً مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَدَّخِرُ لَهُ حَسَنَاتِهِ فِي الآخِرَةِ وَيُعْقِبُهُ رِزْقًا
فِي الدُّنْيَا عَلَى طَاعَتِهِ " .

Narrated Um Khalid bint Khalid:
When I came from Ethiopia (to Medina), I was a young girl. Allah's Apostle made me wear a sheet having marks on it. Allah's Apostle was rubbing those marks with his hands saying, "Sanah! Sanah!" (i.e. good, good).
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ السَّعِيدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ خَالِدٍ بِنْتِ خَالِدٍ، قَالَتْ قَدِمْتُ مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ وَأَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةٌ، فَكَسَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَمِيصَةً لَهَا أَعْلاَمٌ، فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَمْسَحُ الأَعْلاَمَ بِيَدِهِ وَيَقُولُ
" سَنَاهْ، سَنَاهْ ". قَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ يَعْنِي حَسَنٌ حَسَنٌ.

Allah likes sneezing but dislikes yawning. So when one of you yawns, he should restrain it as much as possible, and should not say Ha, Ha, for that is from the devil who laughs at him.

Narrated Abu Hurairah:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) sent an expedition force [comprised] of many, and he asked each what he could recite, so each one of them mentioned what he could recite - meaning what he had memorized of the Qur'an. He came to one of the youngest men among them and said: 'What have you memorized O so-and-so?' He said: 'I memorized this and that and Surat Al-Baqarah.' He said: 'You memorized Surat Al-Baqarah?' He said: "Yes.' He said: "Then go, for you are their commander.' A man among their chief said: 'By Allah [O Messenger of Allah]! Nothing prevented me from learning Surat Al-Baqarah except fearing that I would not be able to stand with (in voluntary night prayer).' The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Learn the Qur'an to recite it, for indeed the parable of the Qur'an for the one who recites it and stands with it (in prayer) is that of a bag full of musk whose scent fills the air all around. And the parable of the one who learns it then sleeps while it is in his memory is that of a bag containing musk that is tied shut.'"
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، مَوْلَى أَبِي أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْثًا وَهُمْ ذُو عَدَدٍ فَاسْتَقْرَأَهُمْ فَاسْتَقْرَأَ كُلَّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ مَا مَعَهُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ فَأَتَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ أَحْدَثِهِمْ سِنًّا فَقَالَ " مَا مَعَكَ يَا فُلاَنُ " . قَالَ مَعِي كَذَا وَكَذَا وَسُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ . قَالَ " أَمَعَكَ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ " . فَقَالَ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " فَاذْهَبْ فَأَنْتَ أَمِيرُهُمْ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَشْرَافِهِمْ وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا مَنَعَنِي أَنْ أَتَعَلَّمَ سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ إِلاَّ خَشْيَةَ أَلاَّ أَقُومَ بِهَا . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " تَعَلَّمُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَاقْرَءُوهُ وَأَقْرِئُوهُ فَإِنَّ مَثَلَ الْقُرْآنِ لِمَنْ تَعَلَّمَهُ فَقَرَأَهُ وَقَامَ بِهِ كَمَثَلِ جِرَابٍ مَحْشُوٍّ مِسْكًا يَفُوحُ بِرِيحِهِ كُلُّ مَكَانٍ وَمَثَلُ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَهُ فَيَرْقُدُ وَهُوَ فِي جَوْفِهِ كَمَثَلِ جِرَابٍ وُكِئَ عَلَى مِسْكٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، مَوْلَى أَبِي أَحْمَدَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُرْسَلاً وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ . حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنِ اللَّيْثِ فَذَكَرَهُ .

Narrated Farwah bin Musaik Al-Muradi:
"I went to the Prophet (SAW) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Shall I not fight those who turn away among my people, along with those who believe? So he permitted me to fight them and made me their commander.' When I left him, he asked me, saying: 'What has Al-Ghutaifi done?' He was informed that I set off on my journey." He said: "So he sent a message on my route that I should return. I went to him and he was with a group of his Companions. He said: 'Invite your people. Whoever accepts Islam among them then accept it from him. And whoever does not accept Islam, then do not be hasty until new news reaches you.'" He said: "And what was revealed about Saba was revealed, so a man said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What is Saba; is it a land or a woman?' He said: 'It is neither a land nor a woman, but it is a man who had ten sons among the Arabs. Six of them went south (in Yemen) and four of them went north (toward Ash-Sham). As for those who went north, they are Lakhm, Judham, Ghassan and 'Amilah. As for those who sent south, they are Azad, Al-'Ash'ariyyun, Himyar, Kindah, Madhhij, and Anmar.' A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Who are Anmar?' He said: 'Those among whom are Khath'am and Bajilah.'" [This Hadith has been related from Ibn 'Abbas from the Prophet (SAW)].
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ النَّخَعِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَبْرَةَ النَّخَعِيُّ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ مُسَيْكٍ الْمُرَادِيِّ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلاَ أُقَاتِلُ مَنْ أَدْبَرَ مِنْ قَوْمِي بِمَنْ أَقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ فَأَذِنَ لِي فِي قِتَالِهِمْ وَأَمَّرَنِي فَلَمَّا خَرَجْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ سَأَلَ عَنِّي مَا فَعَلَ الْغُطَيْفِيُّ فَأُخْبِرَ أَنِّي قَدْ سِرْتُ قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَ فِي أَثَرِي فَرَدَّنِي فَأَتَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ " ادْعُ الْقَوْمَ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنْهُمْ فَاقْبَلْ مِنْهُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُسْلِمْ فَلاَ تَعْجَلْ حَتَّى أُحْدِثَ إِلَيْكَ " . قَالَ وَأُنْزِلَ فِي سَبَإٍ مَا أُنْزِلَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا سَبَأٌ أَرْضٌ أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ قَالَ " لَيْسَ بِأَرْضٍ وَلاَ امْرَأَةٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ رَجُلٌ وَلَدَ عَشَرَةً مِنَ الْعَرَبِ فَتَيَامَنَ مِنْهُمْ سِتَّةٌ وَتَشَاءَمَ مِنْهُمْ أَرْبَعَةٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ تَشَاءَمُوا فَلَخْمٌ وَجُذَامٌ وَغَسَّانُ وَعَامِلَةٌ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ تَيَامَنُوا فَالأَزْدُ وَالأَشْعَرِيُّونَ وَحِمْيَرُ وَمَذْحِجٌ وَأَنْمَارُ وَكِنْدَةُ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا أَنْمَارُ قَالَ " الَّذِينَ مِنْهُمْ خَثْعَمُ وَبَجِيلَةُ " . وَرُوِيَ هَذَا عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2973
Narrated Mujahid:
that Ka'b bin 'Ujrah said: "By the one in Whose Hand is my soul! This Ayah was revealed referring to my case: 'And whosoever of you is ill or has an ailment on his scalp (necessitating shaving) he must pay Fidyah of either fasting or giving charity, or a sacrifice. (2:196)'"
He said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) at Al-Hudaibiyyah and we were in a state of Ihram. The idolaters had held us back, and I had a good deal of hair, and the lice were falling on my face. The Prophet (SAW) passed by me and said: 'The lice on your head are bothering you?'" He said: "I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Then shave.' And this Ayah was revealed."
Mujahid said: "The fasting is for three days, the feeding is six needy people, and the sacrifice is a sheep or more."

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ كَعْبُ بْنُ عُجْرَةَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَفِيَّ أُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ وَإِيَّاىَ عَنَى بِهَا : (فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِنْ رَأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِنْ صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ ) قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَنَحْنُ مُحْرِمُونَ وَقَدْ حَصَرَنَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ وَكَانَتْ لِي وَفْرَةٌ فَجَعَلَتِ الْهَوَامُّ تَسَاقَطُ عَلَى وَجْهِي فَمَرَّ بِيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " كَأَنَّ هَوَامَّ رَأْسِكَ تُؤْذِيكَ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " فَاحْلِقْ " . وَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ . قَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ الصِّيَامُ ثَلاَثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَالطَّعَامُ سِتَّةُ مَسَاكِينَ وَالنُّسُكُ شَاةٌ فَصَاعِدًا .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 464
Al-Hasan bin Ali [may Allah be pleased with him] said:
"Allah's Messenger taught me some phrases to say during Al-Witr (Allahummahdini fiman hadait, wa a'fini fiman afait, wa tawallani fiman tawallait, wa barik Li fima atait, wa qini sharra ma qadait, fa Innaka taqdi wa la yuqda Alaik, wa innahu la yadhillu man walait, tabarakta Rabbana wa ta'alait.) 'O Allah guide me among those You have guided, pardon me among those You have pardoned, befriend me among those You have befriended, bless me in what You have granted, and save me from the evil that You decreed. Indeed You decree, and none can pass decree, and none can pass decree upon You, indeed he is not humiliated whom You have befriended, blessed are You our Lord and Exalted.'"
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ السَّعْدِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ رضى الله عَنْهُمَا عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَلِمَاتٍ أَقُولُهُنَّ فِي الْوِتْرِ
" اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَعَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ فَإِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلاَ يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ وَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ السَّعْدِيِّ وَاسْمُهُ رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ . وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْقُنُوتِ فِي الْوِتْرِ شَيْئًا أَحْسَنَ مِنْ هَذَا . وَاخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي الْقُنُوتِ فِي الْوِتْرِ فَرَأَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْقُنُوتَ فِي الْوِتْرِ فِي السَّنَةِ كُلِّهَا وَاخْتَارَ الْقُنُوتَ قَبْلَ الرُّكُوعِ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَإِسْحَاقُ وَأَهْلُ الْكُوفَةِ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لاَ يَقْنُتُ إِلاَّ فِي النِّصْفِ الآخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَكَانَ يَقْنُتُ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ . وَقَدْ ذَهَبَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِلَى هَذَا وَبِهِ يَقُولُ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 666
Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab narrated from Safwan bin Umayyah who said:
"The Messenger of Allah gave to me on the Day of Hunain, and he was the most hated creature to me. But he did not stop giving to me until he was the most loved creature to me."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، قَالَ أَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ وَإِنَّهُ لأَبْغَضُ الْخَلْقِ إِلَىَّ فَمَا زَالَ يُعْطِينِي حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لأَحَبُّ الْخَلْقِ إِلَىَّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ بِهَذَا أَوْ شِبْهِهِ فِي الْمُذَاكَرَةِ . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ صَفْوَانَ رَوَاهُ مَعْمَرٌ وَغَيْرُهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ أَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . وَكَأَنَّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَصَحُّ وَأَشْبَهُ إِنَّمَا هُوَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ صَفْوَانَ . وَقَدِ اخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي إِعْطَاءِ الْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَرَأَى أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنْ لاَ يُعْطَوْا . وَقَالُوا إِنَّمَا كَانُوا قَوْمًا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَتَأَلَّفُهُمْ عَلَى الإِسْلاَمِ حَتَّى أَسْلَمُوا . وَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنْ يُعْطَوُا الْيَوْمَ مِنَ الزَّكَاةِ عَلَى مِثْلِ هَذَا الْمَعْنَى وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ مَنْ كَانَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى مِثْلِ حَالِ هَؤُلاَءِ وَرَأَى الإِمَامُ أَنْ يَتَأَلَّفَهُمْ عَلَى الإِسْلاَمِ فَأَعْطَاهُمْ جَازَ ذَلِكَ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1114
Sahl bin Sa'd As-Sa'idi narrated that:
A woman came to the Messenger of Allah and said: "I present myself to you (for marriage)." So she stood for a long time. Then a man said: "O Messenger of Allah! Marry her to me if you have no need of her." So he said: "Do you have anything to give her as a dowry?" He said: "I have nothing except this Izar." So the Messenger of Allah said: "If you give her your Izar then you will have no Izar, so search for something." He said: "I did not find anything." He said: "Search for something, even if it just an iron ring." He said: So he searched but he did not find anything. The Messenger of Allah said: "Do you have any Qur'an (memorized)?" He said: "Yes. This Surat and that Surat." And he named the Surat. So the Messenger of Allah said: "I marry her to you for what you have (memorized) of the Qur'an."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الصَّائِغُ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي وَهَبْتُ نَفْسِي لَكَ . فَقَامَتْ طَوِيلاً فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَزَوِّجْنِيهَا إِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَكَ بِهَا حَاجَةٌ . فَقَالَ " هَلْ عِنْدَكَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ تُصْدِقُهَا " . فَقَالَ مَا عِنْدِي إِلاَّ إِزَارِي هَذَا . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِزَارَكَ إِنْ أَعْطَيْتَهَا جَلَسْتَ وَلاَ إِزَارَ لَكَ فَالْتَمِسْ شَيْئًا " قَالَ مَا أَجِدُ . قَالَ " فَالْتَمِسْ وَلَوْ خَاتَمًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ " . قَالَ فَالْتَمَسَ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هَلْ مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَيْءٌ " . قَالَ نَعَمْ سُورَةُ كَذَا وَسُورَةُ كَذَا . لِسُوَرٍ سَمَّاهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " زَوَّجْتُكَهَا بِمَا مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ ذَهَبَ الشَّافِعِيُّ إِلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَقَالَ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَيْءٌ يُصْدِقُهَا وَتَزَوَّجَهَا عَلَى سُورَةٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ فَالنِّكَاحُ جَائِزٌ وَيُعَلِّمُهَا سُورَةً مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ النِّكَاحُ جَائِزٌ وَيَجْعَلُ لَهَا صَدَاقَ مِثْلِهَا . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ

Usamah bin Zaid narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"Whoever some good was done to him, and he says: 'May Allah reward you in goodness' then he has done the most that he can of praise."

" مَنْ صُنِعَ إِلَيْهِ مَعْرُوفٌ فَقَالَ لِفَاعِلِهِ جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا فَقَدْ أَبْلَغَ فِي الثَّنَاءِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ جَيِّدٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمِثْلِهِ وَسَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدًا فَلَمْ يَعْرِفْهُ . حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ حَازِمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْمَكِّيَّ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ يَقُولُ كُنَّا عِنْدَ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ الْمَكِّيِّ فَجَاءَ سَائِلٌ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ لِخَازِنِهِ أَعْطِهِ دِينَارًا . فَقَالَ مَا عِنْدِي إِلاَّ دِينَارٌ إِنْ أَعْطَيْتُهُ لَجُعْتَ وَعِيَالَكَ . قَالَ فَغَضِبَ وَقَالَ أَعْطِهِ . قَالَ الْمَكِّيُّ فَنَحْنُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ بِكِتَابٍ وَصُرَّةٍ وَقَدْ بَعَثَ إِلَيْهِ بَعْضُ إِخْوَانِهِ وَفِي الْكِتَابِ إِنِّي قَدْ بَعَثْتُ خَمْسِينَ دِينَارًا . قَالَ فَحَلَّ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ الصُّرَّةَ فَعَدَّهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ أَحَدٌ وَخَمْسُونَ دِينَارًا . قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ لِخَازِنِهِ قَدْ أَعْطَيْتَ وَاحِدًا فَرَدَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ وَزَادَكَ خَمْسِينَ دِينَارًا .

'Abdullah. Ibn 'Abbas reported:
A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) reported to me: As we were sitting during the night with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot (of meteor)? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best (the actual position), but we, however, used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died, whereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: (These meteors) are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, issues Command when He decides to do a thing. Then (the Angels) supporting the Throne sing His glory, then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in the heaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your Lord has said? And they accordingly inform them what He says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission (the jinn snatches) what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinn they attack them with meteors. If they narrate only which they manage to snatch that is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it.

رُمِيَ بِنَجْمٍ فَاسْتَنَارَ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَاذَا كُنْتُمْ تَقُولُونَ فِي
الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ إِذَا رُمِيَ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا " . قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ كُنَّا نَقُولُ وُلِدَ اللَّيْلَةَ رَجُلٌ عَظِيمٌ
وَمَاتَ رَجُلٌ عَظِيمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " فَإِنَّهَا لاَ يُرْمَى بِهَا لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ
وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنْ رَبُّنَا تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى اسْمُهُ إِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا سَبَّحَ حَمَلَةُ الْعَرْشِ ثُمَّ سَبَّحَ
أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ التَّسْبِيحُ أَهْلَ هَذِهِ السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ قَالَ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَ
حَمَلَةَ الْعَرْشِ لِحَمَلَةِ الْعَرْشِ مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ فَيُخْبِرُونَهُمْ مَاذَا قَالَ - قَالَ - فَيَسْتَخْبِرُ
بَعْضُ أَهْلِ السَّمَوَاتِ بَعْضًا حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْخَبَرُ هَذِهِ السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا فَتَخْطَفُ الْجِنُّ السَّمْعَ
فَيَقْذِفُونَ إِلَى أَوْلِيَائِهِمْ وَيُرْمَوْنَ بِهِ فَمَا جَاءُوا بِهِ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَهُوَ حَقٌّ وَلَكِنَّهُمْ يَقْرِفُونَ
فِيهِ وَيَزِيدُونَ " .

‘Ubadah b. al-Samit reported the Messenger of Allah(saws) as sayings:
Receive my teachings, receive my teachings. Allah has appointed a way for those women. If the parties have been married, they shall receive a hundred lashes and stoned to death. If the parties are unmarried, they shall receive a hundred lashes and banished for a year.

Shaddad b. Aus said that God's Messenger used to say in his prayer, “O God, I ask Thee for steadfastness in carrying out what I am commanded and resolution in following right guidance. I ask Thee to make me grateful for Thy favour and to enable me to worship Thee acceptably. I ask Thee for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask Thee for some of the good of what Thou knowest, I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of what Thou knowest, and I ask Thy forgiveness for what Thou knowest.”
Nasa’i transmitted it, and Ahmad transmitted something similar.
وَعَن شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ: " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسأَلك الثَّبَات فِي الْأَمر والعزيمة عَلَى الرُّشْدِ وَأَسْأَلُكَ شُكْرَ نِعْمَتِكَ وَحُسْنَ عِبَادَتِكَ وَأَسْأَلُكَ قَلْبًا سَلِيمًا وَلِسَانًا صَادِقًا وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا تَعْلَمُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا تَعْلَمُ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا تَعْلَمُ. رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيُّ وروى أَحْمد نَحوه

‘A’isha told that when the Prophet was ill some of his wives mentioned a church called Mariya. Umm Salama and Umm Habiba who had gone to Abyssinia mentioned its beauty and the statues it contained, whereupon he raised his head and said, "When a pious man among those people dies they build a place of worship over his grave, then make those statues in it. Those are the worst of God’s creatures.”

Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, "The way in which I may be compared with the prophets is by a castle which was beautifully constructed, but in which the place of one brick was left incomplete. Sightseers went round admiring the beauty of its construction with the exception of the place for that brick. Now I have filled up the place of that brick, in me the building is completed and in me the messengers are complete." A version has "I am the brick and I am the seal of the prophets."

'Utayy ibn Damura said, "I saw with Ubay a man who was attributing himself (in lineage) with an attribution of Jahiliyyah, so Ubay told him to bite his father's male organ and did not speak figuratively (i.e. was explicit). So his companions looked at him. He said, 'It appears that you disapprove of it.' Then he said,
'I will never show apprehension to anyone with regards to this. Verily, I heard the Prophet, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace, say, "Whomever attributes himself (in lineage) with an attribution of Jahiliyyah, then tell him to bite his father's male organ and do not speak figuratively (i.e. be explicit)." ' "
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عُتَيِّ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ عِنْدَ أُبَيٍّ رَجُلاً تَعَزَّى بِعَزَاءِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَأَعَضَّهُ أُبَيٌّ وَلَمْ يُكْنِهِ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ أَصْحَابُهُ، قَالَ: كَأَنَّكُمْ أَنْكَرْتُمُوهُ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي لاَ أَهَابُ فِي هَذَا أَحَدًا أَبَدًا، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: مَنْ تَعَزَّى بِعَزَاءِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَعِضُّوهُ وَلا تَكْنُوهُ.

Mu’adh bin Jabal (RAA) narrated, ‘When the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) sent him to Yemen, he commanded him to take a ‘tabi’(young bull) or ‘tabi'ah’ (young cow, which is one year old), as Zakah for every 30 cows. And for every forty cows, a musinnah (two year old cow) is due. Every non-Muslim who attained the age of puberty should pay one Dinar or the equivalent from the Mu'afiri clothes (made in a town in Yemen called Ma'afir).’ Related by the Five Imams and the wording is from Ahmad.
وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -بَعَثَهُ إِلَى اَلْيَمَنِ, فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْ كُلِّ ثَلَاثِينَ بَقَرَةً تَبِيعًا أَوْ تَبِيعَةً, وَمِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ مُسِنَّةً, وَمِنْ كُلِّ حَالِمٍ دِينَارًا أَوْ عَدْلَهُ مُعَافِرَ } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ, وَاللَّفْظُ لِأَحْمَدَ, وَحَسَّنَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَشَارَ إِلَى اِخْتِلَافٍ فِي وَصْلِهِ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ, وَالْحَاكِم ُ 1 .

Hadith 30, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi
On the authority of Abu Tha’labah al-Kushanee — Jurthoom bin Nashir (may Allah be pleased with him) — that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Verily Allah ta’ala has laid down religious obligations (fara’id), so do not neglect them; and He has set limits, so do not overstep them; and He has forbidden some things, so do not violate them; and He has remained silent about some things, out of compassion for you, not forgetfulness — so do not seek after them.
A hasan hadeeth narrated by ad-Daraqutnee and others.
عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ جُرْثُومِ بن نَاشِر رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم قَال: "إنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فَرَضَ فَرَائِضَ فَلَا تُضَيِّعُوهَا، وَحَدَّ حُدُودًا فَلَا تَعْتَدُوهَا، وَحَرَّمَ أَشْيَاءَ فَلَا تَنْتَهِكُوهَا، وَسَكَتَ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ رَحْمَةً لَكُمْ غَيْرَ نِسْيَانٍ فَلَا تَبْحَثُوا عَنْهَا".

Mishkat al-Masabih 2186
Al-Hasan reported in mursal form that the Prophet said, “If anyone recites a hundred verses in a night the Qur’ān will not argue against him that night; if anyone recites two hundred verses in a night he will be recorded as having spent a night standing in prayer; and if anyone recites five hundred to a thousand verses in a night, in the morning he will have a reward equivalent to a qintār*. He was asked what a qintar was and replied that it was twelve thousand [dīnārs].
*This is the measure to which many different values have been ascribed.
Dārimī transmitted it.
وَعَنِ الْحَسَنِ مُرْسَلًا: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مِائَةَ آيَةٍ لَمْ يُحَاجِّهِ الْقُرْآنُ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ وَمَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مِائَتَيْ آيَةٍ كُتِبَ لَهُ قُنُوتُ لَيْلَةٍ وَمَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ خَمْسَمِائَةً إِلَى الْأَلْفِ أَصْبَحَ وَلَهُ قِنْطَارٌ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ» . قَالُوا: وَمَا الْقِنْطَارُ؟ قَالَ: «اثْنَا عَشَرَ ألفا» . رَوَاهُ الدِّرَامِي

Mishkat al-Masabih 2479
Al-Qa'qa' reported Ka‘b al-Ahbar as saying, “Were it not for some words which I say, the Jews would treat me as an ass.” (2) He was asked what they were and replied, “I seek refuge in God’s mighty Person than which nothing is mightier, in God’s perfect words which no one, whether pious or profligate, can go beyond and in God’s beautiful names, those which I know and those which I do not know, from the evil of what He has created, produced and brought into being.”
2. This might be translated “turn me into an ass.” If that is the correct translation it would suggest the use of magic.
Malik transmitted it.

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
He who amongst you is afraid that he may not be able to get up at the end of the night should observe Witr (in the first part) and then sleep, and he who is confident of getting up and praying at night (i. e. Tahajjud prayer) should observe it at the end of it, for the recitation at the end of the night is witnessed*, and that is better.

People must cease to neglect the Friday prayer or Allah will seal their hearts and then they will be among the negligent.

"Whoever has three daughters and is patient towards them, and feeds them, gives them to drink, and clothes them from his wealth; they will be a shield for him from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.'"

ard wa mil’ ma shi’ta min shay’in ba’d (Allah hears those

fills the
heavens, as much as fills the earth and as much as You will
after
that).’”

if their faces are hammered shields. They will be
wearing shoes of
hair, using leather shields and tying their horses
to date-palm
trees.”

“There is no sin more deserving that Allah hasten the punishment

– than injustice and severing the ties of kinship.”

It was narrated from ‘Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه that he said:
We went out on two campaigns with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the month of Ramadan, the day of Badr and the conquest (of Makkah), and we broke the fast in both cases.

It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: `Whoever leaves a space the size of a hair when doing ghusl for janabah and does not make water reach it, Allah will punish him with such and such in the Fire.” ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: From that time I disliked my hair.

Narrated `Aisha:
An Ansari woman gave her daughter in marriage and the hair of the latter started falling out. The Ansari women came to the Prophet and mentioned that to him and said, "Her (my daughter's) husband suggested that I should let her wear false hair." The Prophet said, "No, (don't do that) for Allah sends His curses upon such ladies who lengthen their hair artificially."

" لاَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ لُعِنَ الْمُوصِلاَتُ ".

Narrated Anas:
The Prophet sent a Sariya (an army detachment) consisting of men called Al-Qurra', and all of them were martyred. I had never seen the Prophet so sad over anything as he was over them. So he said Qunut (invocation in the prayer) for one month in the Fajr prayer, invoking for Allah's wrath upon the tribe of 'Usaiya, and he used to say, "The people of 'Usaiya have disobeyed Allah and His Apostle."

I asked Messenger of Allah (PBUH): "What right can any wife demand of her husband?" He replied, "You should give her food when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, not strike her on the face, and do not revile her or separate from her except in the house".

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) slept on a straw mat and got up with the marks left by it on his body. Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah! Would that you make us spread out a soft bedding for you." He (PBUH) replied, "What have I to do with the world? I am like a rider who had sat under a tree for its shade, then went away and left it."

The Messenger of Allah curses the one who sits in the middle of people's circle.

A man sat in the middle of a circle so Hudhaifah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: Cursed upon the tongue of Muhammad (saws) or [he said] Allah has cursed upon the tongue of Muhammad (saws) he who sits in the middle of the circle [of a gathering].

When talking of omens was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) he said, "The best type of omen is the good omen." He added, "A Muslim should not refrain from anything because of an omen." He (PBUH) told them, "When any of you sees anything which he dislikes, he should say: 'Allahuma la ya'ti bil-hasanati illa Anta, wa la yadfa'us- sayyi'ati illa Anta, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa Bika (O Allah ! You Alone bring good things; You Alone avert evil things, and there is no might or power but in You)."'

" مَا مِنْ وَالٍ يَلِي رَعِيَّةً مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَيَمُوتُ وَهْوَ غَاشٌّ لَهُمْ، إِلاَّ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ ".

A man embraced Islam and then reverted back to Judaism. Mu`adh bin Jabal came and saw the man with Abu Musa. Mu`adh asked, "What is wrong with this (man)?" Abu Musa replied, "He embraced Islam and then reverted back to Judaism." Mu`adh said, "I will not sit down unless you kill him (as it is) the verdict of Allah and His Apostle.

" صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا ". تَابَعَهُ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ. وَرَوَاهُ الأَوْزَاعِيُّ وَعُقَيْلٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ.

On that the Prophet said, "There will appear earthquakes and afflictions, and from there will come out the side of the head of Satan."

Al-Hasan bin `Ali took a date from the dates given in charity and put it in his mouth. The Prophet said, "Expel it from your mouth. Don't you know that we do not eat a thing which is given in charity?"

" كِخٍ كِخٍ ـ لِيَطْرَحَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ ـ أَمَا شَعَرْتَ أَنَّا لاَ نَأْكُلُ الصَّدَقَةَ ".

It was narrated from Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari that :
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "If two Muslims confront each other with swords and one of them kills the other, then the killer and the slain will both be in Hell." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, (we understand about) the killer, but what about the one who is killed?" He said: "He wanted to kill his companion."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ - عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا تَوَاجَهَ الْمُسْلِمَانِ بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا فَقَتَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ فَالْقَاتِلُ وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي النَّارِ " . قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا الْقَاتِلُ فَمَا بَالُ الْمَقْتُولِ قَالَ " إِنَّهُ أَرَادَ قَتْلَ صَاحِبِهِ " .
