Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that A'isha, umm al-muminin, said, "I do not mind whether I pray in the Hijr or in the House." (i.e. praying in the Hijr is the same as praying in the House).
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ مَا أُبَالِي أَصَلَّيْتُ فِي الْحِجْرِ أَمْ فِي الْبَيْتِ .

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Umar ibn al-Khattab said that he disapproved of one man lending another food on the provision that he gave it back to him in another city. He said, "Where is the transport?"
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ أَسْلَفَ رَجُلاً طَعَامًا عَلَى أَنْ يُعْطِيَهُ إِيَّاهُ فِي بَلَدٍ آخَرَ فَكَرِهَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَقَالَ فَأَيْنَ الْحَمْلُ يَعْنِي حُمْلاَنَهُ .

Malik related to me that he had heard that al-Maqburi said that Abu Hurayra was asked whether a man who had to free a slave, could free an illegitimate child to fulfil that obligation. Abu Hurayra said, "Yes. That will give satisfaction for him."

Al-Bara bin Azib narrated:
Allah's Messenger was asked about performing Wudu for camel meat. He said: "Perform Wudu for it." He Was asked about Wudu after eating goat meat. So he said: "Do not perform Wudu for it."

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ شَيْئًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 966
Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "Nothing afflicts the believer, whether fatigue, grief, disease - even a worry that concerns him - except that by it, Allah removes something from his bad deeds."
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ نَصَبٍ وَلاَ حَزَنٍ وَلاَ وَصَبٍ حَتَّى الْهَمُّ يَهُمُّهُ إِلاَّ يُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ بِهِ عَنْهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ . قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ الْجَارُودَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ وَكِيعًا يَقُولُ لَمْ يُسْمَعْ فِي الْهَمِّ أَنَّهُ يَكُونُ كَفَّارَةً إِلاَّ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ . قَالَ وَقَدْ رَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضى الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Abu Abdullah Al-Jadali narrated:
"I asked 'Aishah about the character of the Messenger of Allah. She said: 'He was not obscene, nor uttering obscenities, nor screaming in the markets, he would not return an evil with an evil, but rather he was pardoning and forgiving."
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَدَلِيَّ، يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ خُلُقِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فَاحِشًا وَلاَ مُتَفَحِّشًا وَلاَ صَخَّابًا فِي الأَسْوَاقِ وَلاَ يَجْزِي بِالسَّيِّئَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ وَلَكِنْ يَعْفُو وَيَصْفَحُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَأَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَدَلِيُّ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ بْنُ عَبْدٍ وَيُقَالُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدٍ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2478
Yahya Al-Bakka' narrated from Ibn 'Umar who said:
"A man belched in the presence of the Prophet(s.a.w), so he said: 'Restain your belching from us. For indeed those who are filled most in the world will be the hungriest on the Day of Judgement.'"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقُرَشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْبَكَّاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ تَجَشَّأَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " كُفَّ عَنَّا جُشَاءَكَ فَإِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شِبَعًا فِي الدُّنْيَا أَطْوَلُهُمْ جُوعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ .

Asbat bin Muhammad reported it from Al-A'mash who said:
"It has been narrated to me from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (saws)," and it is similar. [It is as if this is more correct than the first narration.]

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1624
Narrated Abu Umamah Al-Bahili:
That the Prophet (saws) said, "Whoever fasts a day in the cause of Allah, Allah shall put between him and the Fire a trench whose distance is like that between the heavens and the earth."
This Hadith is Gharib as a narration of Abu Umamah.
حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّارِ خَنْدَقًا كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ .

Narrated 'Urfajah bin As'ad:
"My nose was severed on the Day of Al-Kulab during Jahiliyyah. So I got a nose of silver which caused an infection for me, so the Messenger of Allah (saws) ordered me to get a node made of gold."

from the Prophet – regarding Allah’s saying ‘And on couches raised high – he said: “Their height is as what is between the heavens and the earth, and the distance between the two of them is five hundred years.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، رضى الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي قَوْلِهِ : ( وفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ ) قَالَ " ارْتِفَاعُهَا كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَسِيرَةُ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا خَمْسُمِائَةِ عَامٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ رِشْدِينَ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ وَارْتِفَاعُهَا كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ . قَالَ ارْتِفَاعُ الْفُرُشِ الْمَرْفُوعَةِ فِي الدَّرَجَاتِ وَالدَّرَجَاتُ مَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ دَرَجَتَيْنِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ .

`Abdullah bin `Umar narrated that :
the Messenger of Allah said: “Al-Kauthar is a river in Paradise, whose banks are of gold, and it flows over pearls and corundum. Its dirt is purer than musk, and its water is sweeter than honey and whiter than milk.”
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْكَوْثَرُ نَهْرٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ حَافَّتَاهُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَمَجْرَاهُ عَلَى الدُّرِّ وَالْيَاقُوتِ تُرْبَتُهُ أَطْيَبُ مِنَ الْمِسْكِ وَمَاؤُهُ أَحْلَى مِنَ الْعَسَلِ وَأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الثَّلْجِ " . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3518
Abdullah bin Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
“At-Tasbīḥ is half of the Scale, and All praise is due to Allah (Al-Ḥamdulillāh)’ fills it, and (as for) None has the right to be worshipped but Allah (Lā Ilāha Illallāh)’ - there is no barrier to it from Allah until it reaches Him.”

Mishkat al-Masabih 3370
Sahl b. al-Hanzaliya told of God’s Messenger coming upon an emaciated camel and saying, “Fear God regarding these dumb animals. Ride them when they are in good condition and let them free when they are in good condition.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَن سهلِ بنِ الحَنظلِيَّةِ قَالَ: مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِبَعِيرٍ قَدْ لَحِقَ ظَهْرُهُ بِبَطْنِهِ فَقَالَ: «اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ فِي هَذِهِ الْبَهَائِمِ الْمُعْجَمَةِ فَارْكَبُوهَا صَالِحَة واترُكوها صَالِحَة» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 768
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said, “I visited the Prophet and saw him praying on a reed mat on which he was prostrating himself.” He said, “And I saw him praying in a single garment with part over his shoulder.”
Muslim transmitted it.
عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حَصِيرٍ يَسْجُدُ عَلَيْهِ. قَالَ: وَرَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ

Mishkat al-Masabih 925
Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “No one will express a greeting to me without God restoring my spirit to me so that I may respond to his greeting.”
It is transmitted by Abu Dawud and by Baihaqi in [Kitab] ad-da'awat al-kabir.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيَّ إِلَّا رَدَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ رُوحِي حَتَّى أَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي الدَّعَوَاتِ الْكَبِيرِ

Mishkat al-Masabih 934
Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone invokes a blessing on me at my grave I shall hear him, and if anyone invokes a blessing on me at a distance I shall have it conveyed to me.”
Baihaqi transmitted it in Shu‘ab al-lman.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ عِنْدَ قَبْرِي سَمِعْتُهُ وَمَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ نَائِيًا أُبْلِغْتُهُ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شعب الْإِيمَان

Mishkat al-Masabih 1400
Al-Bara’ reported God’s Messenger as saying, “It is a duty for Muslims to bathe on Friday, and one may apply some of his wife’s perfume; but if he can get none, water is a perfume for him.”
Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying that this is a hasan tradition.
وَعَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَلْيَمَسَّ أَحَدُهُمْ مِنْ طِيبِ أَهْلِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَالْمَاءُ لَهُ طِيبٌ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ

Mishkat al-Masabih 1414
‘Abdallah b. Mas'ud said, “When the Prophet sat down on the pulpit we faced him.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, and said this was a tradition he knew only among the traditions of Muhammad b. al-Fadl who was weak and whose traditions were not accepted.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ اسْتَقْبَلْنَاهُ بِوُجُوهِنَا. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ذَاهِبُ الْحَدِيثِ

وَعَنْ أَبِي وَهَبٍ الْجُشَمِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «عَلَيْكُمْ بِكُلِّ كُمَيْتٍ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلٍ أَوْ أَشْقَرَ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلٍ أَوْ أَدْهَمَ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلٍ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيّ
