Three-Narrator Ahadith 76
Ismāʻīl narrated to us:
ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz narrated to us, saying, “Qatādah asked Anas, ‘Which supplication did the Prophet ﷺ make most often?’ He said, ‘The supplication the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made most often was: Allāhumma Rabbanā ātinā fi’l-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fi’l-ākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā ʻadhāba’l-nār (O Allah, our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire).’ Whenever Anas wished to make a supplication he would make this one, and whenever he wished to make some other supplication he would include it within it.”
