مُسْنَدُ طَارِقِ بْنِ أَشْيَمَ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Three-Narrator Ahadith 328
Ṭāriq ibn Ashyam al-Ashjaʿī (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say to a people, “Whoever affirms the oneness of Allah, the Exalted, and disbelieves in what is worshipped besides Him, his wealth and blood become inviolable, and his reckoning is with Allah, Mighty and Majestic.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لِقَوْمٍ: «مَنْ وَحَّدَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى، وَكَفَرَ بِمَا يُعْبَدُ مِنْ دُونِهِ، حَرُمَ مَالُهُ وَدَمُهُ، وَحِسَابُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

Chain: Yazīd ibn Hārūn → Abū Mālik al-Ashjaʿī → Ṭāriq ibn Ashyam al-Ashjaʿī (may Allah be pleased with him) → the Prophet ﷺ. Rijāl: (1) Yazīd ibn Hārūn, (2) Abū Mālik, (3) Ṭāriq ibn Ashyam: as above. Takhrīj: Muslim, a foundational statement of the ʿiṣmah (inviolability of life and property) that the declaration of tawḥīd secures, subject to its outward legal conditions being met.
