Sahih Muslim 3029 a
Jabir reported that 'Abdullah b. Ubayy b. Salul used to say to his slave-girl:
Go and fetch something for us by committing prostitution. It was in this connection that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed this verse:" And compel not your slave-girls to prostitution when they desire to keep chaste in order to seek the frail goods of this world's life, and whoever compels them, then surely after their compulsion Allah is Forgiving, Merciful" (xxiv. 33).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لأَبِي كُرَيْبٍ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أُبَىٍّ ابْنُ سَلُولَ يَقُولُ لِجَارِيَةٍ لَهُ اذْهَبِي فَابْغِينَا شَيْئًا فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَلاَ تُكْرِهُوا فَتَيَاتِكُمْ عَلَى الْبِغَاءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِتَبْتَغُوا عَرَضَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَنْ يُكْرِهْهُنَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مِنْ بَعْدِ إِكْرَاهِهِنَّ} لَهُنَّ { غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ}

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "This branch from Quraish will ruin the people." The companions of the Prophet asked, "What do you order us to do (then)?" He said, "I would suggest that the people keep away from them.''
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يُهْلِكُ النَّاسَ هَذَا الْحَىُّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ". قَالُوا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ " لَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ اعْتَزَلُوهُمْ ". قَالَ مَحْمُودٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ.

Sunan Abi Dawud 4965
Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying:
Call yourselves by my name, but do not use my KUNYAH (surname).
Abu Dawud said : Abu Salih has transmitted it in a similar way from Abu Hurairah, and similar are the traditions of Abu Sufyan from Jabir, of Salim b. Abl al-Ja’d from Jabir, of Sulaiman al-Yashkuri from Jabir, and of Ibn al-Munkadir from Jabir and similar others and Anas b. Malik.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي وَلاَ تَكْتَنُوا بِكُنْيَتِي " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَكَذَلِكَ رِوَايَةُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَسَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَسُلَيْمَانَ الْيَشْكُرِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ نَحْوَهُمْ وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3281
Narrated Umayyah b. Khalid:
When Khalid al-Qasri was made ruler (of Hijaz and Kufah), he doubled the measure of sa'. The sa' then measured sixteen rotls.
Abu Dawud said: Muhammad b. Muhammad b. Khattab was slain by Negroes in confinement. He said while signing with his hand: "in this way". Abu Dawud extended his hand and turned his palms towards earth and said: I saw him in the dream and asked him: How did Allah deal with you ? He replied: He admitted to Paradise. I said: Your detention did not harm you.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَلاَّدٍ أَبُو عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ : لَمَّا وُلِّيَ خَالِدٌ الْقَسْرِيُّ أَضْعَفَ الصَّاعَ فَصَارَ الصَّاعُ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ رَطْلاً . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَلاَّدٍ قَتَلَهُ الزِّنْجُ صَبْرًا، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا وَمَدَّ أَبُو دَاوُدَ يَدَهُ وَجَعَلَ بُطُونَ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ، قَالَ : وَرَأَيْتُهُ فِي النَّوْمِ فَقُلْتُ : مَا فَعَلَ اللَّهُ بِكَ قَالَ : أَدْخَلَنِي الْجَنَّةَ . فَقُلْتُ : فَلَمْ يَضُرَّكَ الْوَقْفُ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 2714
Salih bin Muhammad said “We went out on an expedition with Al Walid bin Hisham and Salim bin ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umat and ‘Umar bin ‘Abd Al Aziz were with us. A man had been dishonest about booty. Al Walid ordered to burn his property and it was circulated (among the people). He did not give him his share.
Abu Dawud said “This is sounder of the two traditions. Others narrated that Al Walid bin Hashim burnt the Camel saddle of Ziyad bin Sa’d “He had been dishonest about booty and he beat him.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 1232
It was
narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“When the Messenger of Allah (saw)
fell ill with the sickness that would be his last” – (One of the
narrators) Abu Mu’awiyah said: “When he was overcome by sickness”
–
“Bilal came to tell him that it was time for prayer. He said,
‘Tell
Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.’ We said: ‘O
Messenger of
Allah! Abu Bakr is a tender-hearted man, and when he
takes your place
he will weep and not be able to do it. Why do you
not tell ‘Umar to
lead the people in prayer?’ He said: ‘Tell
Abu Bakr to lead the people
in prayer; you are (like) the female
companions of Yusuf.’” She said:
“So we sent word to Abu Bakr,
and he led the people in prayer. Then
the Messenger of Allah (saw)
began to feel a little better, so he came
out to the prayer, supported
by two men with his feet making lines
along the ground. When Abu Bakr
realized that he was there, he wanted
to step back, but the Prophet
(saw) gestured to him to stay where he
was. Then (the two men)
brought him to sit beside Abu Bakr, and Abu
Bakr was following the
lead of the Prophet (saw) and the people were
following Abu Bakr.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَوَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ لَمَّا مَرِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مَرَضَهُ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ - وَقَالَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ لَمَّا ثَقُلَ - جَاءَ بِلاَلٌ يُؤْذِنُهُ بِالصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ " مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ " . قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَجُلٌ أَسِيفٌ - تَعْنِي رَقِيقٌ - وَمَتَى مَا يَقُومُ مُقَامَكَ يَبْكِي فَلاَ يَسْتَطِيعُ فَلَوْ أَمَرْتَ عُمَرَ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ . فَقَالَ " مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرِ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ فَإِنَّكُنَّ صَوَاحِبَاتُ يُوسُفَ " . قَالَتْ فَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَوَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ خِفَّةً فَخَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ وَرِجْلاَهُ تَخُطَّانِ فِي الأَرْضِ فَلَمَّا أَحَسَّ بِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ذَهَبَ لِيَتَأَخَّرَ فَأَوْمَى إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنْ مَكَانَكَ . قَالَ فَجَاءَ حَتَّى أَجْلَسَاهُ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَأْتَمُّ بِالنَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَالنَّاسُ يَأْتَمُّونَ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ .

Rabah bin Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Sufyan bin Huwaitib narrated from his grandmother, from her father; she said (that he said):
"I heard Allah's Messenger saying: there is no Wudu for one who does not mention Allah's Name over it."
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، وَبِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي ثِفَالٍ الْمُرِّيِّ، عَنْ رَبَاحِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُوَيْطِبٍ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهَا، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" لاَ وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَأَنَسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ لاَ أَعْلَمُ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ حَدِيثًا لَهُ إِسْنَادٌ جَيِّدٌ . وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ إِنْ تَرَكَ التَّسْمِيَةَ عَامِدًا أَعَادَ الْوُضُوءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ نَاسِيًا أَوْ مُتَأَوِّلاً أَجْزَأَهُ . قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَحْسَنُ شَيْءٍ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ حَدِيثُ رَبَاحِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَرَبَاحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ عَنْ أَبِيهَا . وَأَبُوهَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ . وَأَبُو ثِفَالٍ الْمُرِّيُّ اسْمُهُ ثُمَامَةُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ . وَرَبَاحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُوَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ حُوَيْطِبٍ . مِنْهُمْ مَنْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فَقَالَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حُوَيْطِبٍ فَنَسَبَهُ إِلَى جَدِّهِ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 5413
Sahl bin Sa'd Al-Sa'idi said:
"Words were exchanged between two clans of the Ansar, to the point that they began to throw rocks at one another. The Prophet [SAW] went to reconcile between them. The time for prayer came, so Bilal called Adhan and waited for the Messenger of Allah [SAW], but he was delayed. He said the Iqamah and Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, went forward (to lead the prayer). Then the Prophet [SAW] came while Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer, and when the people saw him they clapped. Abu Bakr would not turn around when he was praying, but when he heard them clapping, he turned around and saw the Messenger of Allah [SAW]. He wanted to step back but (the Prophet [SAW]) gestured to him to stay where he was. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, raised his hands, then he moved backward and the Messenger of Allah [SAW] came forward and led (the rest of) the prayer. When the Messenger of Allah [SAW] finished praying, he said: 'What prevented you from staying where you were?' He said: 'I would not like Allah to see the son of Abu Quhafah standing in front of His Prophet.' Then he (the Prophet [SAW]) turned to the people and said: 'If you noticed something while you were praying, why did you clap? That is for women. Whoever notices something while he is praying, let him say: "Subhan Allah."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيَّ، يَقُولُ وَقَعَ بَيْنَ حَيَّيْنِ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ كَلاَمٌ حَتَّى تَرَامَوْا بِالْحِجَارَةِ فَذَهَبَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِيُصْلِحَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَأَذَّنَ بِلاَلٌ وَانْتُظِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاحْتُبِسَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ وَتَقَدَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رضى الله عنه فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ النَّاسُ صَفَّحُوا - وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لاَ يَلْتَفِتُ فِي الصَّلاَةِ - فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ تَصْفِيحَهُمُ الْتَفَتَ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَأَخَّرَ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اثْبُتْ فَرَفَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رضى الله عنه يَعْنِي يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ نَكَصَ الْقَهْقَرَى وَتَقَدَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الصَّلاَةَ قَالَ " مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَثْبُتَ " . قَالَ مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَرَى ابْنَ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ نَبِيِّهِ . ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ " مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا نَابَكُمْ شَىْءٌ فِي صَلاَتِكُمْ صَفَّحْتُمْ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لِلنِّسَاءِ مَنْ نَابَهُ شَىْءٌ فِي صَلاَتِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ " .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2413
Ubu Juhaifah narrated from his father who said:
"The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) made a bond of brotherhood between Salman and Abu Ad-Darda. Salman went to visit Abu Ad-Darda, and saw Umm Ad-Darda wearing shabby clothes, So he said: 'Why are you wearing such shabby clothes?' She said: 'Your brother Abu Ad-Darda has no interest in the world.' So when Abu Ad-Darda arrived, he prepared some food for him (Salman) and said: 'Eat, for I am fasting.' He said: 'I shall not eat until you eat.'" He said: "So he ate. When night came Abu Ad-Darda started to leave and stand (in prayer), but Salman said to him: 'Sleep.' So he slept. Then he went to stand (in prayer) but he said to him: 'Sleep'. So he slept. When the morning (Fajr) came,Salman said: 'Get up now.'So he got up to perform Salat. Then he (Salman) said: 'Indeed your self has a right upon you, your Lord has a right upon you, your guest has a right upon you, and your family has a right upon you. So give each the right they are due. The Prophet (s.a.w), and that was mentioned to him, so he said: 'Salman has told the truth.'"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ آخَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَ سَلْمَانَ وَبَيْنَ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ فَزَارَ سَلْمَانُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ فَرَأَى أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ مُتَبَذِّلَةً فَقَالَ مَا شَأْنُكِ مُتَبَذِّلَةً قَالَتْ إِنَّ أَخَاكَ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ لَيْسَ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا . قَالَ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهِ طَعَامًا فَقَالَ كُلْ فَإِنِّي صَائِمٌ . قَالَ مَا أَنَا بِآكِلٍ حَتَّى تَأْكُلَ . قَالَ فَأَكَلَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ اللَّيْلُ ذَهَبَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ لِيَقُومَ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَلْمَانُ نَمْ . فَنَامَ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ يَقُومُ فَقَالَ لَهُ نَمْ . فَنَامَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عِنْدَ الصُّبْحِ قَالَ لَهُ سَلْمَانُ قُمِ الآنَ فَقَامَا فَصَلَّيَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ لِنَفْسِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَقًّا وَلِرَبِّكَ عَلَيْكَ حَقًّا وَلِضَيْفِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَقًّا وَإِنَّ لأَهْلِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَقًّا فَأَعْطِ كُلَّ ذِي حَقٍّ حَقَّهُ . فَأَتَيَا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَا ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لَهُ
" صَدَقَ سَلْمَانُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَأَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ اسْمُهُ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ أَخُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 321
Shaqiq said:
While I was sitting between 'Abd Allah and Abu Musa, the latter said: Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, what do you think if a man becomes defiled (because of seminal omission) and does not find water for a month; should he not perform tayammum ? He replied: No, even if he does not find water for a month. Abu Musa then said: How will you do with the Qur'anic version (about tayammum) in the chapter al-Ma'idah which says: "... and you find no water, then go to clean, high ground" (5:6)? 'Abd Allah (b. Mas'ud) then said: If they (the people) are granted concession in this respect, they might perform tayammum with pure earth when water is cold. Abu Musa said: For this (reason) you forbade it ? He said: Yes. Abu Musa then said: Did you not hear what 'Ammar said to 'Umar ? (He said): The Messenger of Allah (saws) sent me on some errand. I had seminal emission and I did not find water. Therefore, I rolled on the ground just as an animal rolls down. I then came to the Prophet (saws) and made a mention of that to him. He said: It would have been enough for you to do thus. Then he struck the ground with his hands and shook them off and then stuck the right hand with his left hand and his left hand with his right hand (and wiped) over his hands (up to the wrist) and wiped his face. 'Abd Allah then said to him: Did you not see that 'Umar was not satisfied with the statement of 'Ammar ?
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَنْبَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ الضَّرِيرُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا بَيْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَبِي مُوسَى فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَجْنَبَ فَلَمْ يَجِدِ الْمَاءَ شَهْرًا . أَمَا كَانَ يَتَيَمَّمُ فَقَالَ لاَ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ الْمَاءَ شَهْرًا فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى فَكَيْفَ تَصْنَعُونَ بِهَذِهِ الآيَةِ الَّتِي فِي سُورَةِ الْمَائِدَةِ { فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا } فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لَوْ رُخِّصَ لَهُمْ فِي هَذَا لأَوْشَكُوا إِذَا بَرَدَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَاءُ أَنْ يَتَيَمَّمُوا بِالصَّعِيدِ . فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو مُوسَى وَإِنَّمَا كَرِهْتُمْ هَذَا لِهَذَا قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو مُوسَى أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ قَوْلَ عَمَّارٍ لِعُمَرَ بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي حَاجَةٍ فَأَجْنَبْتُ فَلَمْ أَجِدِ الْمَاءَ فَتَمَرَّغْتُ فِي الصَّعِيدِ كَمَا تَتَمَرَّغُ الدَّابَّةُ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ " إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِيكَ أَنْ تَصْنَعَ هَكَذَا " . فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى الأَرْضِ فَنَفَضَهَا ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ بِشِمَالِهِ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَبِيَمِينِهِ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ عَلَى الْكَفَّيْنِ ثُمَّ مَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ . فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَفَلَمْ تَرَ عُمَرَ لَمْ يَقْنَعْ بِقَوْلِ عَمَّارٍ

Sunan Abi Dawud 1556
Abu Hurairah said When the Messenger of Allah(saws) died and Abu Bakr was made his successor after him and certain Arab clans apostatized. Umar bin Al Khattab said to Abu Bakr How can you fight with the people until they say “There is no God but Allah” so whoever says “There is no God but Allah”, he has protected his property and his person from me except for what is due from him, and his reckoning is left to allah. Abu Bak replied I swear by Allah that I will certainly fight with those who make a distinction between prayer and zakat, for zakat is what is due from property. I swear by Allah that if they were to refuse me a rope of camel (or a female kid, according to another version)which they used to pay the Messenger of Allah, I will fight with them over the refusal of it. Umar bin Al Khattab said I swear by Allah, I clearly saw Allah had made Abu Bakr feel justified in tighting and I recognized that it was right.
Abu Dawud said This tradition has been transmitted by Rabah bin Zaid from Ma’mar and Al Zaubaidi from Al Zuhri has “If they were to refuse me a female kid.” The version transmitted by ‘Anbasah from Yunus on the authority of Al Zuhri has “a female kid”.

" أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ فَمَنْ قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ عَصَمَ مِنِّي مَالَهُ وَنَفْسَهُ إِلاَّ بِحَقِّهِ وَحِسَابُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " . فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَاللَّهِ لأُقَاتِلَنَّ مَنْ فَرَّقَ بَيْنَ الصَّلاَةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ فَإِنَّ الزَّكَاةَ حَقُّ الْمَالِ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ مَنَعُونِي عِقَالاً كَانُوا يُؤَدُّونَهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَقَاتَلْتُهُمْ عَلَى مَنْعِهِ . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا هُوَ إِلاَّ أَنْ رَأَيْتُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ شَرَحَ صَدْرَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ لِلْقِتَالِ - قَالَ - فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ مَعْمَرُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى الْعِقَالُ صَدَقَةُ سَنَةٍ وَالْعِقَالاَنِ صَدَقَةُ سَنَتَيْنِ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَرَوَاهُ رَبَاحُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ عِقَالاً . وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ قَالَ عَنَاقًا . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ وَمَعْمَرٌ وَالزُّبَيْدِيُّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ لَوْ مَنَعُونِي عَنَاقًا . وَرَوَى عَنْبَسَةُ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ عَنَاقًا .

'A'isha reported:
When the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was confined to bed, Bilal came to him to summon him to prayer. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Ask Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. She ('A'isha) reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr is a tenderhearted man, when he would stand at your place (he would be so overwhelmed by feelings) that he would not be able to make the people hear anything (his recitation would not be audible to the followers in prayer). You should better order Umar (to lead the prayer). He (the Holy Prophet) said: Ask Abu Bakr to lead people in prayer. She ('A'isha) said: I asked Hafsa to (convey) my impression to him (the Holy Prophet) that Abu Bakr was a tenderhearted man, so when he would stand at his place, he would not be able to make the people bear anything. He better order Umar. Hafsa conveyed this (message of Hadrat 'A'isha) to him (the Holy Prophet). The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: (You are behaving) as if you are the females who had gathered around Yusuf. Order Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. She ('A'isha) reported: So Abu Bakr was ordered to lead the people in prayer. As the prayer began, the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) felt some relief; he got up and moved supported by two persons and his feet dragged on earth (due to excessive weakness). 'A'isha reported: As he (the Holy Prophet) entered the mosque. Abu Bakr perceived his (arrival). He was about to withdraw, but the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) by the gesture (of his hand) told him to keep standing at his place. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) came and seated himself on the left side of Abu Bakr. She ('A'isha) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was leading people in prayer sitting. Abu Bakr was following the prayer of the Apostle (may peace be upon him) in a standing posture and the people were following the prayer of Abu Bakr.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَوَكِيعٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ لَمَّا ثَقُلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَاءَ بِلاَلٌ يُؤْذِنُهُ بِالصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ " مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ " . قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَجُلٌ أَسِيفٌ إِنَّهُ مَتَى يَقُمْ مَقَامَكَ لاَ يُسْمِعِ النَّاسَ فَلَوْ أَمَرْتَ عُمَرَ . فَقَالَ " مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ " . قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ لِحَفْصَةَ قُولِي لَهُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَجُلٌ أَسِيفٌ وَإِنَّهُ مَتَى يَقُمْ مَقَامَكَ لاَ يُسْمِعِ النَّاسَ فَلَوْ أَمَرْتَ عُمَرَ . فَقَالَتْ لَهُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّكُنَّ لأَنْتُنَّ صَوَاحِبُ يُوسُفَ . مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ " . قَالَتْ فَأَمَرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ - قَالَتْ - فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ وَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ نَفْسِهِ خِفَّةً فَقَامَ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ وَرِجْلاَهُ تَخُطَّانِ فِي الأَرْضِ - قَالَتْ - فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ سَمِعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حِسَّهُ ذَهَبَ يَتَأَخَّرُ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قُمْ مَكَانَكَ . فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى جَلَسَ عَنْ يَسَارِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ - قَالَتْ - فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ جَالِسًا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ قَائِمًا يَقْتَدِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِصَلاَةِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَيَقْتَدِي النَّاسُ بِصَلاَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ .

Ali ibn Shammakh said:
I was present with Marwan who asked AbuHurayrah: Did you hear how the Messenger of Allah (saws) used to pray over the dead? He said: Even with the words that you said. (The narrator said: They exchanged hot words between them before that.)
Abu Hurairah said: O Allah, Thou art its Lord. Thou didst create it, Thou didst guide it to Islam, Thou hast taken its spirit, and Thou knowest best its inner nature and outer aspect. We have come as intercessors, so forgive him.
Abu Dawud said: Shu'bah made a mistake in mentioning the name of 'Ali b. Shammakh. He said in his version: 'Uthman b. Shammas.
Abu Dawud said: I heard Ahmad b. Ibrahim al-Mawsili say that Ahmad b. Hanbal said: In every meeting which I attended with Hammad b. Zaid he forbade to narrate this traditions from 'Abd al-Warith and Ja'far b. Sulaiman.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجُلاَسِ، عُقْبَةُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ شَمَّاخٍ، قَالَ شَهِدْتُ مَرْوَانَ سَأَلَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ قَالَ أَمَعَ الَّذِي قُلْتَ قَالَ نَعَمْ . قَالَ كَلاَمٌ كَانَ بَيْنَهُمَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ
" اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبُّهَا وَأَنْتَ خَلَقْتَهَا وَأَنْتَ هَدَيْتَهَا لِلإِسْلاَمِ وَأَنْتَ قَبَضْتَ رُوحَهَا وَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِسِرِّهَا وَعَلاَنِيَتِهَا جِئْنَاكَ شُفَعَاءَ فَاغْفِرْ لَهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ أَخْطَأَ شُعْبَةُ فِي اسْمِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَمَّاخٍ قَالَ فِيهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ شَمَّاسٍ وَسَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَوْصِلِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَ مَا أَعْلَمُ أَنِّي جَلَسْتُ مِنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ مَجْلِسًا إِلاَّ نَهَى فِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ وَجَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4999
Narrated An-Nu'man ibn Bashir:
When AbuBakr asked the permission of the Prophet (saws) to come in, he heard Aisha speaking in a loud voice.
So when he entered, he caught hold of her in order to slap her, and said: Do I see you raising your voice to the Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (saws) began to prevent him and AbuBakr went out angry. The Prophet (saws) said when AbuBakr went out: You see I rescued you from the man.
AbuBakr waited for some days, then asked permission of the Messenger of Allah (saws) to enter, and found that they had made peace with each other. He said to them: Bring me into your peace as you brought me into your war.
The Prophet (saws) said: We have done so: we have done so.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْعَيْزَارِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَمِعَ صَوْتَ عَائِشَةَ عَالِيًا فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ تَنَاوَلَهَا لِيَلْطِمَهَا وَقَالَ لاَ أَرَاكِ تَرْفَعِينَ صَوْتَكِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَحْجُزُهُ وَخَرَجَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُغْضَبًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ خَرَجَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ " كَيْفَ رَأَيْتِنِي أَنْقَذْتُكِ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ " . قَالَ فَمَكَثَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَيَّامًا ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَوَجَدَهُمَا قَدِ اصْطَلَحَا فَقَالَ لَهُمَا أَدْخِلاَنِي فِي سِلْمِكُمَا كَمَا أَدْخَلْتُمَانِي فِي حَرْبِكُمَا . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " قَدْ فَعَلْنَا قَدْ فَعَلْنَا " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 70
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Whoever departs this world with sincerity towards Allah, worshipping Him alone with no partner, establishing regular prayer and paying Zakat, he dies while Allah is pleased with him.'" Anas said: "This is the religion of Allah which was brought by the Messengers, and which they conveyed from their Lord before there arose the confusion of people's chattering and conflicting desires.
This is confirmed in the Book of Allah, in one of the Last Verses to be revealed, where Allah says: "But if they repent." Renounce their idols and worshipping them; "And establish Salat and give Zakat." And Allah says in another Verse." But if they repent, perform Salat and give Zakat, then they are your brethren in religion." (Da'if)

Abu Hurairah narrated that :
the Prophet said: "When one of you leads the people in prayer then let him be brief, for indeed here are among them the young and the old, the weak and the ill. When one of you prays alone, then let him pray as he wishes."

" إِذَا أَمَّ أَحَدُكُمُ النَّاسَ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الصَّغِيرَ وَالْكَبِيرَ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَالْمَرِيضَ فَإِذَا صَلَّى وَحْدَهُ فَلْيُصَلِّ كَيْفَ شَاءَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ وَمَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَبِي وَاقِدٍ وَعُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ وَأَبِي مَسْعُودٍ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ اخْتَارُوا أَنْ لاَ يُطِيلَ الإِمَامُ الصَّلاَةَ مَخَافَةَ الْمَشَقَّةِ عَلَى الضَّعِيفِ وَالْكَبِيرِ وَالْمَرِيضِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَأَبُو الزِّنَادِ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ . وَالأَعْرَجُ هُوَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ هُرْمُزَ الْمَدِينِيُّ وَيُكْنَى أَبَا دَاوُدَ .

Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Badri:
that a man came to the Prophet (SAW) looking for a mount, he said: 'Mine has been ruined.' So the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Go to so-and-so.' So he went to him and he gave him a mount. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Whoever leads to good, then for him is the same reward as the one who does it - or - who acts upon it.'"
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْبَدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَسْتَحْمِلُهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ أُبْدِعَ بِي . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " ائْتِ فُلاَنًا " . فَأَتَاهُ فَحَمَلَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ أَوْ قَالَ عَامِلِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيُّ اسْمُهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ وَأَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْبَدْرِيُّ اسْمُهُ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو .

" إِدْبَارُ النُّجُومِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ وَإِدْبَارُ السُّجُودِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مَرْفُوعًا إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ رِشْدِينَ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَسَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَرِشْدِينَ ابْنَىْ كُرَيْبٍ أَيُّهُمَا أَوْثَقُ قَالَ مَا أَقْرَبَهُمَا وَمُحَمَّدٌ عِنْدِي أَرْجَحُ . قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ هَذَا فَقَالَ مَا أَقْرَبَهُمَا عِنْدِي وَرِشْدِينُ بْنُ كُرَيْبٍ أَرْجَحُهُمَا عِنْدِي . قَالَ وَالْقَوْلُ عِنْدِي مَا قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ وَرِشْدِينُ أَرْجَحُ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَقْدَمُ وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ رِشْدِينُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَرَآهُ .

" مَنْ نَزَلَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ فَلاَ يَصُومَنَّ تَطَوُّعًا إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُنْكَرٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُ أَحَدًا مِنَ الثِّقَاتِ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ . وَقَدْ رَوَى مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمَدِينِيِّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوًا مِنْ هَذَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ ضَعِيفٌ أَيْضًا . وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ضَعِيفٌ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ اسْمُهُ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُبَشِّرٍ وَهُوَ أَوْثَقُ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَقْدَمُ .

Simak bin Harb narrated from Jabir bin Samurah who said " The Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said:
'There will be twelve Amir after me."' He said: "Then he said something that I did not understand. So I asked the one who was next to me, who said that he(s.a.w) had said: 'All of them are from Quraish."'
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِي اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا " . قَالَ ثُمَّ تَكَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَفْهَمْهُ فَسَأَلْتُ الَّذِي يَلِينِي فَقَالَ قَالَ " كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِثْلَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ يُسْتَغْرَبُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو .

Abu Ayyub narrated that a Bedouin came to the Prophet (s.a.w) and said:
"O Messenger of Allah, indeed, I love horses. Are there horses in Paradise?" The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "If you are admitted into Paradise, you shall be brought a horse of rubies with two wings, then you shall be carried on it, then it will fly with you wherever you want."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ الأَحْمَسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ وَاصِلٍ، هُوَ ابْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي سَوْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُحِبُّ الْخَيْلَ أَفِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْلٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِنْ أُدْخِلْتَ الْجَنَّةَ أُتِيتَ بِفَرَسٍ مِنْ يَاقُوتَةٍ لَهُ جَنَاحَانِ فَحُمِلْتَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ طَارَ بِكَ حَيْثُ شِئْتَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَلاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَأَبُو سَوْرَةَ هُوَ ابْنُ أَخِي أَبِي أَيُّوبَ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ ضَعَّفَهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ جِدًّا قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَقُولُ أَبُو سَوْرَةَ هَذَا مُنْكَرُ الْحَدِيثِ يَرْوِي مَنَاكِيرَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ لاَ يُتَابَعُ عَلَيْهَا .

Sahih Muslim 2170 a
A'isha reported that Sauda (Allah he pleated with her) went out (in the fields) in order to answer the call of nature even after the time when veil had been prescribed for women. She had been a bulky lady, significant in height amongst the women, and she could not conceal herself from him who had known her. 'Umar b. Khattab saw her and said:
Sauda, by Allah, you cannot conceal from us. Therefore, be careful when you go out. She ('A'isha) said: She turned back. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was at that time in my house having his evening meal and there was a bone in his hand. She (Sauda) cline and said: Allah's Messenger. I went out and 'Umar said to me so and so. She ('A'isha) reported: There came the revelation to him and then it was over; the bone was then in his hand and he had not thrown it and he said:" Permission has been granted to you that you may go out for your needs."

امْرَأَةً جَسِيمَةً تَفْرَعُ النِّسَاءَ جِسْمًا لاَ تَخْفَى عَلَى مَنْ يَعْرِفُهَا فَرَآهَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ
يَا سَوْدَةُ وَاللَّهِ مَا تَخْفَيْنَ عَلَيْنَا فَانْظُرِي كَيْفَ تَخْرُجِينَ . قَالَتْ فَانْكَفَأَتْ رَاجِعَةً وَرَسُولُ
اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَيْتِي وَإِنَّهُ لَيَتَعَشَّى وَفِي يَدِهِ عَرْقٌ فَدَخَلَتْ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ
اللَّهِ إِنِّي خَرَجْتُ فَقَالَ لِي عُمَرُ كَذَا وَكَذَا . قَالَتْ فَأُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ رُفِعَ عَنْهُ وَإِنَّ الْعَرْقَ فِي
يَدِهِ مَا وَضَعَهُ فَقَالَ
" إِنَّهُ قَدْ أُذِنَ لَكُنَّ أَنْ تَخْرُجْنَ لِحَاجَتِكُنَّ " . وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ يَفْرَعُ
النِّسَاءَ جِسْمُهَا . زَادَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَقَالَ هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي الْبَرَازَ .

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: When anyone amongst you has sexual intercourse with his wife and then he intends to repeat it, he should perform ablution. In the hadith transmitted by Abu Bakr. (the words are):" Between the two (acts) there should be an ablution," or he (the narrator) said:" Then he intended that it should be repeated."

" إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمْ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعُودَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ " . زَادَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ بَيْنَهُمَا وُضُوءًا وَقَالَ ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُعَاوِدَ .

Utbah heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: Do not cut the forelocks, manes, or tails of horse, for their tails are their means of driving flies, their manes provide them with warmth, and blessing is tide to their forelocks.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا خُشَيْشُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ نَصْرٍ الْكِنَانِيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍوَقَالَ أَبُو تَوْبَةَ : عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ، مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ السُّلَمِيِّ، - وَهَذَا لَفْظُهُ - أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ :
" لاَ تَقُصُّوا نَوَاصِيَ الْخَيْلِ وَلاَ مَعَارِفَهَا وَلاَ أَذْنَابَهَا، فَإِنَّ أَذْنَابَهَا مَذَابُّهَا، وَمَعَارِفَهَا دِفَاؤُهَا، وَنَوَاصِيهَا مَعْقُودٌ فِيهَا الْخَيْرُ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 2730
Narrated Umayr, client of AbulLahm:
I was present at Khaybar along with my masters who spoke about me to the Messenger of Allah (saws). He ordered about me, and a sword was girded on me and I was trailing it. He was then informed that I was a slave. He, therefore, ordered that I should be given some inferior goods.
Abu Dawud said: This means that he (the Prophet) did not allot a portion of the spoils.
Abu Dawud said: Abu 'Ubaid said: As he (the narrator Abi al-Lahm) made eating meat unlawful on himself, he was called Abi al-Lahm (one who hates meat).

Narrated Jabir (RA):
A man from among us died, so we washed, embalmed and shrouded him. We then brought him to Allah's Messenger (SAW) and asked him to pray over him. He went forward some steps and then asked, "Does he have any debt against him?" We replied, "Two Dinars." He turned away, but Abu Qatada (RA) took upon himself the bearing of them. We then came to him (again) (SAW) and Abu Qatada (RA) said, "I shall discharge the two Dinars." Allah's Messenger (SAW) thereupon said, "[Will you be responsible for paying them as] a right to the creditor; and the dead man will then be free from them?" He replied, "Yes." So, he prayed over him.
[Reported by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and an-Nasa'i. Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ مِنَّا, فَغَسَّلْنَاهُ, وَحَنَّطْنَاهُ, وَكَفَّنَّاهُ, ثُمَّ أَتَيْنَا بِهِ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -فَقُلْنَا: تُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ? فَخَطَا خُطًى, ثُمَّ قَالَ: " أَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ? " قُلْنَا: دِينَارَانِ، فَانْصَرَفَ, فَتَحَمَّلَهُمَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ، فَأَتَيْنَاهُ, فَقَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ: اَلدِّينَارَانِ عَلَيَّ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -" أُحِقَّ اَلْغَرِيمُ وَبَرِئَ مِنْهُمَا اَلْمَيِّتُ? " قَالَ: نَعَمْ, فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَالنَّسَائِيُّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ, وَالْحَاكِمُ 1 .

'A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) before his death recited often:
Hallowed be Thou, and with Thy praise, I seek forgiveness from Thee and return to Thee. She reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, what are these words that I find you reciting? He said: There has been made a sign for me in my Ummah; when I saw that, I uttered them (these words of glorification for Allah), and the sign is:" When Allah's help and victory..... to the end of the surah.

" كُلُوهُ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَإِنَّ ذَكَاةَ الْجَنِينِ ذَكَاةُ أُمِّهِ " .
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ سَمِعْتُ الْكَوْسَجَ إِسْحَقَ بْنَ مَنْصُورٍ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِمْ فِي الذَّكَاةِ لَا يُقْضَى بِهَا مَذِمَّةٌ قَالَ مَذِمَّةٌ بِكَسْرِ الذَّالِ مِنْ الذِّمَامِ وَبِفَتْحِ الذَّالِ مِنْ الذَّمِّ.

narrated from Abu Hazim that Abu Hurairah said:

“Be of good
cheer,
for Allah says: ‘It is My fire which I have causes to overwhelm
My
believing slave in this world, to be his share of the Fire in the
Hereafter.”

" أَبْشِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ هِيَ نَارِي أُسَلِّطُهَا عَلَى عَبْدِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِ فِي الدُّنْيَا لِتَكُونَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ فِي الآخِرَةِ " .

It was
narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman Al-A’raj that Ibn Buhainah told
him
that the Prophet (saw) stood up in the second Rak’ah of Zuhr and
forgot to sit. When he had finished his prayer, and before he said
the
Salam, he performed the two prostrations for forgetfulness (Sahw)
and
said the Salam.

It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that he heard the Prophet (saw) say:
“When a man enters his house, and remembers Allah when he enters and when he eats, Satan says: ‘You have no place to stay and no supper.’ If he enters his house and does not remember Allah upon entering, Satan says: ‘You have found a place to stay.’ And if he does not remember Allah when he eats, (Satan) says: ‘You have found a place to stay and supper.’”

" إِذَا دَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْتَهُ فَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ وَعِنْدَ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ لاَ مَبِيتَ لَكُمْ وَلاَ عَشَاءَ . وَإِذَا دَخَلَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْمَبِيتَ . فَإِذَا لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْمَبِيتَ وَالْعَشَاءَ " .

It was narrated from ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) that he said:
I was a man who emitted a great deal of madhi but I felt too shy to ask the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about it because his daughter was married to me, so I told a man to ask him and he said: `For that, do wudoo’.`

Aishah narrated:
"When the Prophet opened the Salat he would say: (Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk)" 'Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You.'
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلاَةَ قَالَ
" سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلاَ إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَائِشَةَ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَحَارِثَةُ قَدْ تُكُلِّمَ فِيهِ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ . وَأَبُو الرِّجَالِ اسْمُهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَدِينِيُّ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1231
Abu Bakr bin Sulaiman bin Abi Hathmah narrated that:
It was conveyed to him that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) prayed two rak'ahs, and Dhul-Shimalain said something similar to him. (One of the narrators Ibn Shihab said: "Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab informed me of this hadith from Abu Hurairah." He said: "And Abu Salamah bin 'Abdur Rahman, Abu Bakr bin 'Abdur Rahman, abu Bakr bin 'Abdur Rahman bin Al-Harith and 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah informed me."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ لَهُ ذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ نَحْوَهُ . قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي هَذَا الْخَبَرَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ . قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِيهِ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ .

Narrated Abu Mas'ud:
That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "A man among those before you was called to reckon and nothing good was found with him. Except that he was a wealthy man so he used to mix with the pople and he would tell his servant to be lenient with the insolvent. So Allah, Mighty and Sublime is He, said: 'We are more worthy of that than him, so be lenient with him.'"
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Abu Al-Yasar is Ka'b bin 'Amr.
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" حُوسِبَ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ شَيْءٌ إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ كَانَ رَجُلاً مُوسِرًا وَكَانَ يُخَالِطُ النَّاسَ وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ غِلْمَانَهُ أَنْ يَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنِ الْمُعْسِرِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِذَلِكَ مِنْهُ تَجَاوَزُوا عَنْهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَأَبُو الْيَسَرِ كَعْبُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو .

“I used to often hear the Prophet (saws) supplicating with these words: ‘O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sadness, grief, helplessness, laziness, being stingy, overwhelming debt, and the overpowering of men (Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazani wal-`ajzi wal-kasali wal-bukhli wa ḍala`id-dain wa ghalabatir-rijāl).’”

" اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو .

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَقْبَلَ سَعْدٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هَذَا خَالِي فَلْيُرِنِي امْرُؤٌ خَالَهُ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُجَالِدٍ . وَكَانَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ فَلِذَلِكَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هَذَا خَالِي " .

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جَهْضَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَدَعَا لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّتَيْنِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُرْسَلٌ . وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ لأَبِي جَهْضَمٍ سَمَاعًا مِنَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ . وَأَبُو جَهْضَمٍ اسْمُهُ مُوسَى بْنُ سَالِمٍ .

Narrated Abu 'Abdur-Rahman:
from 'Uthman bin 'Affan that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The best of you is he who learns the Qur'an and teaches it." Abu 'Abdur-Rahman said: "So that is why I sit at this seat of mine." And he taught the Qur'an during the time of 'Uthman until Al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf came. (Sahih)
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَيْدَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فَذَاكَ الَّذِي أَقْعَدَنِي مَقْعَدِي هَذَا . وَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ فِي زَمَنِ عُثْمَانَ حَتَّى بَلَغَ الْحَجَّاجَ بْنَ يُوسُفَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 42
'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad (narrated) from his father that he heard 'Abdullah say:
"The Prophet (PBUH) wanted to defecate, and he told me to bring him three stones. I found two stones and looked for a third, but I could not find any, so I picked up a piece of dung and brought them to the Prophet (PBUH). He took the two stones and three away the dung and said: "This is Riks."
Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasai') said: Riks is the food of the jinn.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ لَيْسَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ ذَكَرَهُ وَلَكِنْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ أَتَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْغَائِطَ وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آتِيَهُ بِثَلاَثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ فَوَجَدْتُ حَجَرَيْنِ وَالْتَمَسْتُ الثَّالِثَ فَلَمْ أَجِدْهُ فَأَخَذْتُ رَوْثَةً فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخَذَ الْحَجَرَيْنِ وَأَلْقَى الرَّوْثَةَ وَقَالَ
" هَذِهِ رِكْسٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرِّكْسُ طَعَامُ الْجِنِّ .

Al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba said:
"Dihya [a notable Companion of his] gave the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) a pair of plain black shoes, so he wore them,"— and Isra’il said, on the authority of Jabir, on the authority of 'Amir: "[He also gave him] a gown, so he wore the shoes until they were perforated, without the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) knowing whether or not they were made from the hide of a lawfully slaughtered animal.”
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ: أَهْدَى دِحْيَةُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خُفَّيْنِ، فَلَبِسَهُمَا وَقَالَ إِسْرَائِيلُ: عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، وَجُبَّةً فَلَبِسَهُمَا حَتَّى تَخَرَّقَا لا يَدْرِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، أَذِكًى هُمَا أَمْ لا.

A’isha said:
"When Allah’s Messenger died (Allah bless him and give him peace), they disagreed over where to bury him, so Abu Bakr said: “I heard Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) say something I have never forgotten. He said: ‘Never has Allah taken a Prophet [from this world], but in the place where he would want to be buried.’ So bury him in the spot where his pallet is!'”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُلَيْكِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: لَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، اخْتَلَفُوا فِي دَفْنِهِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، شَيْئًا مَا نَسِيتُهُ، قَالَ: مَا قَبَضَ اللَّهُ نَبِيًّا إِلا فِي الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُدْفَنَ فِيهِ، ادْفِنُوهُ فِي مَوْضِعِ فِرَاشِهِ.

Sunan Abi Dawud 886
Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud:
The Prophet (saws) said: When one of you bows, he should say three time,:"Glory be to my mighty Lord," and when he prostrates, he should say: "Glory be to my most high Lord" three times. This is the minimum number.
Abu Dawud said: The chain of this tradition is broken. The narrator 'Awn did not see 'Abd Allah (b. Mas'ud).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الأَهْوَازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْهُذَلِيِّ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِذَا رَكَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلْ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ وَذَلِكَ أَدْنَاهُ وَإِذَا سَجَدَ فَلْيَقُلْ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى ثَلاَثًا وَذَلِكَ أَدْنَاهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ عَوْنٌ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ .

Narrated AbuAyyub:
The Prophet (saws) said: The gates of heaven are opened for four rak'ahs containing no taslim (salutation) before the noon prayer.
Abu Dawud said: Yahya b. Sa'id al-Qattan said: If I were to narrate any tradition from 'Ubaidah, I would narrate this tradition.
Abu Dawud said: 'Ubaidah is weak.
Abu Dawud said: The name of the narrator Ibn Minjab is Sahm.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مِنْجَابٍ، عَنْ قَرْثَعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" أَرْبَعٌ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ تَسْلِيمٌ تُفْتَحُ لَهُنَّ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ بَلَغَنِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانِ قَالَ لَوْ حَدَّثْتُ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ بِشَىْءٍ لَحَدَّثْتُ عَنْهُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ عُبَيْدَةُ ضَعِيفٌ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ ابْنُ مِنْجَابٍ هُوَ سَهْمٌ .

Sahih Muslim 1504 e
Hisham b. 'Urwa narrated a hadith like this with the same chain of trans- mitters except (with this change) that in the hadith transmitted on the authority of jartr (the words are):
Her (Barira's) husband was a slave, so Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) gave her the option (either to retain her matrimonial relation with her husband or sever it off). She opted to break off (and secure freedom for her even from the matrimonial alliance). And if he were free he would not have given her the option. In the hadith narrated on the authority (of this chain of transmitters) these words are not found: Amma ba'du.

" أَمَّا بَعْدُ " .

It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari who said:
A man came to the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and said: My riding beast has been killed, so give me some animal to ride upon. He (the Holy Prophet) said: I have none with me. A man said: Messenger of Allah, I can guide him to one who will provide him with a riding beast. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.

عليه وسلم " مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ " .

Abu Humaid Sa'idi reported:
I came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) with a cup of milk from Naqi' which had no cover over it, whereupon he said: Why did you not cover it? - even if you had covered it only with a stick. Abu Humaid said that he had been ordered that waterskins be tied during the night, and the doors be closed during the night.

لَبَنٍ مِنَ النَّقِيعِ لَيْسَ مُخَمَّرًا فَقَالَ
" أَلاَّ خَمَّرْتَهُ وَلَوْ تَعْرُضُ عَلَيْهِ عُودًا " . قَالَ أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ
إِنَّمَا أُمِرَ بِالأَسْقِيَةِ أَنْ تُوكَأَ لَيْلاً وَبِالأَبْوَابِ أَنْ تُغْلَقَ لَيْلاً .

Jabir b 'Abdullah reported:
We were with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and he asked for water. A person said: Allah's Messenger, may we not give you Nabidh to drink? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes (you may). He (the narrator) said: Then that person went out speedily and brought a cup containing Nabidh, whereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Why did you not cover it? - even if it is with a wood. He said that then he drank it.

" أَلاَّ خَمَّرْتَهُ وَلَوْ تَعْرُضُ عَلَيْهِ عُودًا " . قَالَ فَشَرِبَ .

Jabir narrated:
"The Prophet hurried through Wadi Muhassir." Bishr (one of the narrators) added: "He departed from Jam calmly and he ordered them (the people) to be calm." And Abu Nu'aim (one of the narrators) added: "And he ordered them to do the stoning with what was similar to pebbles for Al-Khadhf' And he said: "Perhaps I will not see you after this year."

" لَعَلِّي لاَ أَرَاكُمْ بَعْدَ عَامِي هَذَا " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

" فَصْلُ مَا بَيْنَ الْحَرَامِ وَالْحَلاَلِ الدُّفُّ وَالصَّوْتُ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَجَابِرٍ وَالرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَأَبُو بَلْجٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ وَيُقَالُ ابْنُ سُلَيْمٍ أَيْضًا . وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاطِبٍ قَدْ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ غُلاَمٌ صَغِيرٌ .

Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Whoever has a mustard seed's weight of pride (arrogance) in his heart, shall not be admitted into Paradise. And whoever has a mustard seed's weight of faith in his heart, shall not be admitted into the Fire."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ وَلاَ يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَسَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Ibn 'Abbas narrated:
"The Messenger of Allah sent Mu'adh [bin Jabal] to Yemen, and said:
'Beware of the supplication of the oppressed; for indeed there is no barrier between it and Allah.'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَيْفِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْبَدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعَثَ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ
" اتَّقِ دَعْوَةَ الْمَظْلُومِ فَإِنَّهَا لَيْسَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ اللَّهِ حِجَابٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو مَعْبَدٍ اسْمُهُ نَافِذٌ .

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying:
There is no transitive disease, no safar, no ghoul. He (the narrator) said: I heard Abu Zubair say: Jabir explained for them the word safar. Abu Zubair said: safar means belly. It was said to Jabir: Why is it so? He said that it was held that safar implied the worms of the belly, but he gave no explanation of ghoul. Abu Zubair said: Ghoul is that which kills the travellers.
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو

وَلاَ صَفَرَ وَلاَ غُولَ " . وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ جَابِرًا فَسَّرَ لَهُمْ قَوْلَهُ " وَلاَ صَفَرَ "
. فَقَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ الصَّفَرُ الْبَطْنُ . فَقِيلَ لِجَابِرٍ كَيْفَ قَالَ كَانَ يُقَالُ دَوَابُّ الْبَطْنِ . قَالَ وَلَمْ
يُفَسِّرِ الْغُولَ . قَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ هَذِهِ الْغُولُ الَّتِي تَغَوَّلُ .

Anas b. Malik reported that when Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) had completed his dawn prayer, the servants of Medina came to him with utensils containing water, and no utensil was brought in which he did not dip his hand; and sometime they came in the cold dawn (and he did not feel reluctant in acceding to their request even in the cold weather) and dipped his hand in them.

عليه وسلم إِذَا صَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ جَاءَ خَدَمُ الْمَدِينَةِ بِآنِيَتِهِمْ فِيهَا الْمَاءُ فَمَا يُؤْتَى بِإِنَاءٍ إِلاَّ غَمَسَ
يَدَهُ فِيهَا فَرُبَّمَا جَاءُوهُ فِي الْغَدَاةِ الْبَارِدَةِ فَيَغْمِسُ يَدَهُ فِيهَا .

It was said to her: Then whom after Abu Bakr? She said: `Umar. It was said to her. Then whom after `Umar? She said: Abu `Ubaida b. al-Jarrah, and then she kept quiet at this.

Abdullah b. Ja'far reported that when Allah's Messenger (may peace be, upon him) came back from a journey, the children of his family used to accord him welcome. It was in this way that once he came back from a journey and I went to him first of all. He mounted me before him. Then there came one of the two sons of Fatima and he mounted him behind him and this is how we three entered Medina riding on a beast.

ابْنَىْ فَاطِمَةَ فَأَرْدَفَهُ خَلْفَهُ - قَالَ - فَأُدْخِلْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ ثَلاَثَةً عَلَى دَابَّةٍ .

Ibn 'Umar reported:
I saw in a state of sleep as if I have in my hand a piece of silk cloth and there is no place in the Paradise where I intend to reach but that piece of cloth does not fly towards it. I made a mention of it to Hafsa (the sister of Ibn 'Umar) and Hafsa made a mention of it to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him), whereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: I find 'Abdullah b 'Umar a pious person.

" أَرَى عَبْدَ اللَّهِ رَجُلاً صَالِحًا " .

It is reported on the authority of Abu Mu'awiya that (the Holy Prophet) said:
Every new-born babe is born on the millat (of Islam and he) remains on this until his tongue is enabled to express himself.
This hadith has been narratted on the authority of Abu Mu'awiya through another chain of transmitters (and the words are):" Every child is born but on this Fitra so long as he does not express himself with his tongue."

حَتَّى يُبَيِّنَ عَنْهُ لِسَانُهُ " . وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ " لَيْسَ مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ
إِلاَّ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْفِطْرَةِ حَتَّى يُعَبِّرَ عَنْهُ لِسَانُهُ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3162
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Hurairah through a different chain of narrators to the same effect.
Abu Dawud said:
This has been abrogated. When Ahmad b. Hanbal was asked about a man taking a bath after his washing the dead, I heard him say: Ablution is sufficient for him.
Abu Dawud said: The narrator Abu Salih made a mention of the narrator Ishaq, the client of Za'idah between him and Abu Hurairah. He said: The tradition of Mus'ab is weak. It contains many things that are not practised.

Sunan Abi Dawud 3173
Narrated Abu Sa’id Al Khudri :
The Messenger of Allah (saws) as saying: When you follow a funeral, do not sit until the bier is placed (on the ground).
Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been narrated by al-Thawri (i.e. Sufyan) from Suhail, from his father on the authority of Abu Hurairah. This version has: until it (the bier) is placed on the ground. It has also been narrated by Abu Mu'wiyah from Suhail. This has: Until it is placed in the grave.
Abu Dawud said: Sufyan's version is more guarded than that of Abu Mu'awiyah.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri told that when God’s Messenger swore strongly he said, “No, by Him in whose hand is the soul of Abu Qasim.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اجْتَهَدَ فِي الْيَمِينِ قَالَ: «لَا وَالَّذِي نفس أَبُو الْقَاسِم بِيَدِهِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

'Abdullah b. Qais transmitted on the authority of his father (Abu Musa Ash'ari) that the Apostle (may peace be upon him) said:
There would be two gardens (in Paradise) the vessels and contents of which would be of silver, and two gardens whose vessels and contents would be of gold. The only thing intervening to hinder the people from looking at their Lord will be the mantle of Grandeur over His face in the Garden of Eden.

" جَنَّتَانِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ آنِيَتُهُمَا وَمَا فِيهِمَا وَجَنَّتَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ آنِيَتُهُمَا وَمَا فِيهِمَا وَمَا بَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ وَبَيْنَ أَنْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ إِلاَّ رِدَاءُ الْكِبْرِيَاءِ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فِي جَنَّةِ عَدْنٍ " .
