Sunan Abi Dawud 1735
`Abd Allah bin `Abbas said :
In the beginning when Hajj was prescribed, people used to trade during Hajj. The narrator then narrated the rest of the tradition upto the words, `season of Hajj’.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، - قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ كَلاَمًا مَعْنَاهُ أَنَّهُ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّاسَ، فِي أَوَّلِ مَا كَانَ الْحَجُّ كَانُوا يَبِيعُونَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ مَوَاسِمِ الْحَجِّ .

Abu Musa said :
I asked the prophet (may peace be upon him) about wine made from honey. He said: That is bit. I said: And the one made from barley and millet ? He said :That is mizr. He then said: Tell your people that every intoxicant is prohibited.
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ شَرَابٍ مِنَ الْعَسَلِ فَقَالَ " ذَاكَ الْبِتْعُ " . قُلْتُ وَيُنْتَبَذُ مِنَ الشَّعِيرِ وَالذُّرَةِ . فَقَالَ " ذَاكَ الْمِزْرُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " أَخْبِرْ قَوْمَكَ أَنَّ كُلَّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4689
Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying :
When one commits fornication, one is not a believer ; when one steals, one is not a believer ; when one drinks, one is not a believer ; and repentance is placed before him.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الأَنْطَاكِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" لاَ يَزْنِي الزَّانِي حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَسْرِقُ حِينَ يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ حِينَ يَشْرَبُهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَالتَّوْبَةُ مَعْرُوضَةٌ بَعْدُ " .

Mishkat al-Masabih 3649
Anas quoted Abu Talha as saying he told God’s Prophet he had bought wine for orphans who were in his charge, and he replied, “Pour out the wine and break the wine-jars.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, but declared it weak.
In Abu Dawud’s version it says he asked the Prophet about orphans who had inherited wine and he said, “Pour it out.” He asked if he might not make vinegar of it and he told him he must not.

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ: أَنَّهُ قَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنِّي اشْتَرَيْتُ خَمْرًا لِأَيْتَامٍ فِي حِجْرِي قَالَ: «أَهْرِقِ الْخَمْرَ وَاكْسِرِ الدِّنَانَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَضَعَّفَهُ. وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ: أَنه سَأَلَهُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَيْتَامٍ وَرِثُوا خَمْرًا قَالَ: «أَهْرِقْهَا» . قَالَ: أَفَلَا أَجْعَلُهَا خلاًّ؟ قَالَ: «لَا»

Mishkat al-Masabih 710, 711
Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When one of you gets up for prayer he must not spit in front, of him, because he is holding intimate converse with God as long as he is in his place of prayer; nor must he spit towards his right, for there is an angel at his right; but he may spit towards his left or under his feet and bury it.” The version of Abu Sa'id has “under his left foot.”

Mishkat al-Masabih 985, 986
Abu Sa'id reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When one of you yawns during prayer he must restrain it as much as possible, for the devil gets in.”
Muslim transmitted it. In a version by Bukhari from Abu Huraira he said, “When one of you yawns during prayer he must restrain it as much as possible and not say ‘Ha’, for that comes from the devil who is laughing at him.”(Or “at it”, i.e. at this action).
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْظِمْ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَدْخُلُ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم

Abu Huraira' reported God’s Messenger as saying, “God show mercy to a man who gets up during the night and prays, who wakens his wife and she prays, but if she refuses sprinkles the water on her face! God show mercy to a woman who gets up during the night and prays, who wakens her husband and he prays, but if he refuses sprinkles the water on his face!”
Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «رَحِمَ اللَّهُ رَجُلًا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّى وَأَيْقَظَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَصَلَّتْ فَإِنْ أَبَتْ نَضَحَ فِي وَجْهِهَا الْمَاءَ. رَحِمَ اللَّهُ امْرَأَةً قَامَتْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّتْ وَأَيْقَظَتْ زَوْجَهَا فَصَلَّى فَإِنْ أَبَى نَضَحَتْ فِي وَجْهِهِ المَاء» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ

Abud Darda' and Abu Dharr reported God’s Messenger as stating that God who is blessed and exalted said, “Son of Adam, if you perform four rak'as for me at the beginning of the day, I will supply what you need till the end of it.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it from Nu'aim b. Hammar al-Ghatafani, and Ahmad from them all.
وَعَن أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" عَنِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَّهُ قَالَ: يَا ابْن آدم اركع لي أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ: أَكْفِكَ آخِرَهُ ". رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

Ibn Mas'ud reported God’s messenger as saying,
“If anyone gives liberally to his family on the day of ‘Ashura, God will be liberal to him the rest of the year.”
Sufyan said he had tested it and found it to be so.
Razin transmitted it, and Baihaqi in Shu’ab al-iman transmitted it from [Ibn Mas'ud], Abu Huraira, Abu Sa'id andjabir, but declared it to be weak.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ وَسَّعَ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ فِي النَّفَقَةِ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَسَّعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ سَائِرَ سَنَتِهِ» . قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: إِنَّا قَدْ جربناه فوجدناه كَذَلِك. رَوَاهُ رزين

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 66
Sa'id ibn Sam'an heard Abu Hurayra seeking refuge from the power of children
and fools. Sa'id said, "Ibn Hasana al-Juhani told me that he asked Abu Hurayra,
'What is the token of that?' He replied, 'That he severs ties of kinship,
obeys someone who is in error, and disobeys the correct guide.'"
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَمْعَانَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ إِمَارَةِ الصِّبْيَانِ وَالسُّفَهَاءِ. فَقَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَمْعَانَ: فَأَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ حَسَنَةَ الْجُهَنِيُّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: مَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: أَنْ تُقْطَعَ الأَرْحَامُ، وَيُطَاعَ الْمُغْوِي، وَيُعْصَى الْمُرْشِدُ.

Abu Bakra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "There is no wrong action which Allah is swifter to
punish in this world - in addition to the punishment which He has stored
up for the wrongdoer in the Next World - than cutting off ties of kinship
and injustice."
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: مَا مِنْ ذَنْبٍ أَحْرَى أَنْ يُعَجِّلَ اللَّهُ لِصَاحِبِهِ الْعُقُوبَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا، مَعَ مَا يَدَّخِرُ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ، مِنْ قَطِيعَةِ الرَّحِمِ وَالْبَغْيِ.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 334
Abu Musa reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, heard a man praise another man and he was using exaggeration
in his praise of him. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
said, "You have destroyed - or broken - the man's back."

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, said, "The gates of the Garden are opened on Mondays
and Thursdays. Every person who does not associate anything with Allah
is forgiven except for someone who has enmity between existing between
him and another man. It is said, 'Leave these two until they make peace.'"
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: تُفْتَحُ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ، فَيُغْفَرُ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا، إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ كَانَتْ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَخِيهِ شَحْنَاءُ، فَيُقَالُ: أَنْظِرُوا هَذَيْنِ حَتَّى يَصْطَلِحَا.

Ka'b ibn 'Ujra said, "Those who repeat the supplications which
follow the prayers will not be disappointed. They are:

'Praise be to Allah'; and 'There is no god but Allah' a hundred times."

Thawban reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, said, "The best dinar a man spends is the dinar which he spends
on his family, the dinar which he spends on his companions in the Way of
Allah, and the dinar which he spends on his riding animal in the Way of
Allah."
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِنَّ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ دِينَارٍ أَنْفَقَهُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ، وَدِينَارٌ أَنْفَقَهُ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَدِينَارٌ أَنْفَقَهُ عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ.

Malik ibn Zubayd said, "We passed by Abu Dharr at ar-Rabadha.
He said, 'Where have you come from?' We said, 'Makka - or from the
Ancient House.' He said, 'Is this what you have done?' We said, 'Yes.'
He said, 'And was there commerce or selling with it?' 'No,' he replied.
He said, 'Then resume your actions anew.'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ زُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: مَرَرْنَا عَلَى أَبِي ذَرٍّ بِالرَّبَذَةِ، فَقَالَ: مِنْ أَيْنَ أَقْبَلْتُمْ؟ قُلْنَا: مِنْ مَكَّةَ، أَوْ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ، قَالَ: هَذَا عَمَلُكُمْ؟ قُلْنَا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: أَمَا مَعَهُ تِجَارَةٌ وَلاَ بَيْعٌ؟ قُلْنَا: لاَ، قَالَ: اسْتَأْنِفُوا الْعَمَلَ.

Mishkat al-Masabih 416
Abu Umama mentioned how God’s messenger performed ablution, saying that he used to wipe the corners of his eyes, and he said that the ears are treated as part of the head.
Ibn Majah, Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it, and the last two mentioned that Hammad said he did not know whether “the ears are treated as part of the head” belongs to what Abu Umama said, or to what God’s messenger said.
وَعَن أبي أُمَامَة ذَكَرَ وُضُوءَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: وَكَانَ يَمْسَحُ الْمَاقَيْنِ وَقَالَ: الْأُذُنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ. رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَذَكَرَا: قَالَ حَمَّادٌ: لَا أَدْرِي: الْأُذُنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ مِنْ قَوْلِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَمْ مِنْ قَوْلُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Jabir said:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) led the prayer and Abu Bakr was behind him. When the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) recited the takbir, Abu Bakr also recited (it) in order to make it audible to us. And the rest of the hadith is like one transmitted by Laith.

Sahl b. Sa'd reported:
I saw men having tied (the ends) of their lower garments around their necks, like children, due to shortage of cloth and offering their prayers behind the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him). One of the proclaimers said: O womenfolk, do not lift your heads till men raise (them).

I was sleeping in front of the Mcsseinger ef Allah (may peace be upon him) with my legs between him and the Qibla. When he prostrated himself he pinched me and I drew up my legs, and when be stood up, I stretched them out. She said: At that time there were no lamps in the houses.

We used to talk while engaged in prayer and a person talked with a companion on his side in prayer till (this verse) was revealed:" And stand before Allah in devout obedience" (ii, 238) and we were commanded to observe silence (in prayer) and were forbidden to speak.

" خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ فِيهِ خُلِقَ آدَمُ وَفِيهِ أُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَفِيهِ أُخْرِجَ مِنْهَا وَلاَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ إِلاَّ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ " .

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) took a promise from us along with the oath of Allegiance that we would not lament. But only five among us fulfilled the promise (and they are) Umm Sulaim, and Umm al-'Ala', and the daughter of Abu Sabra the wife of Mu'adh, or daughter of Abu Sabra and wife of Mu'adh.

" اسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَبِّي أَنْ أَسْتَغْفِرَ لأُمِّي فَلَمْ يَأْذَنْ لِي وَاسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ أَنْ أَزُورَ قَبْرَهَا فَأَذِنَ لِي " .

" إِذَا لَمْ يُؤَدِّ الْمَرْءُ حَقَّ اللَّهِ أَوِ الصَّدَقَةَ فِي إِبِلِهِ " . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ .

The Last Hour will not come till wealth is abundant and overflowing, so much so that the owner of the property will think as to who will accept Sadaqa from him, and a person would be called to accept Sadaqa and he would say: I do not need it.

" لاَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَكْثُرَ فِيكُمُ الْمَالُ فَيَفِيضَ حَتَّى يُهِمَّ رَبَّ الْمَالِ مَنْ يَقْبَلُهُ مِنْهُ صَدَقَةً وَيُدْعَى إِلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ فَيَقُولُ لاَ أَرَبَ لِي فِيهِ " .

When a man is always begging from people. he would meet Allah (in a state) that there would be no flesh on his face.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
I go back to my family and I find a date lying on my bed. I then take it up to eat it, but then I throw it away fearing that it may be a Sadaqa.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Do you crowd one another in order to see the moon on the night when it is full?' They said: 'No.' He said: 'And you will not crowd one another in order to see your Lord on the Day of Resurrection.'"

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no caller who invites people to a thing but on the Day of Resurrection he will be made to stand next to that to which he called others, even if he only called one another person.'"

[O Allah, benefit me by that which You have taught me, and teach me that which will benefit me, and increase my knowledge. Praise is to Allah in all circumstances].'"

"If anyone tells you that the Messenger of Allah urinated while standing, do not believe him, for I (always) saw him urinating while sitting down."

Bahr bin Marrar narrated that his grandfather Abu Bakrah said:
"The Messenger of Allah passed by two graves, and he said: 'They are being punished but they are not being punished for anything major. One of them is being punished because of urine, and the other is being punished because of backbiting.'"

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that his maternal aunt Maimunah said:
"I brought a piece of cloth (for drying) to the Messenger of Allahwhen he performed a bath to cleanse himself from sexual impurity. He refused it and began to shake off water."

The Prophet used to perform ablution for every prayer, but on the day of the conquest of Makkah, he performed all of the prayers with one ablution.

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with them, said that:
Allah's Messenger said: "They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, whom should I treat kindly?' He said: 'Your mother.' He said: 'Then who?' He said :'Your mother." He said: 'Then who?' He said: 'Your father'. He said : 'Then who?' He said: 'The next closest and the next closest.'"

It was narrated from 'Abdullah that:
whenever the Prophet (saas) went to his bed, he would put his hand - meaning his right hand - beneath his cheek then say: "Allahumma qini 'adhabaka yawm tab'athu - [or: tajma'u] - 'ibadaka (O Allah, save me from Your punishment on the Day when You resurrect - or gather - Your slaves)."

Abdullah bin Abu Awfa said:
“Whenever a man brought Sadaqah to the Messenger of Allah, he would bless him. I brought him the Sadaqah of my wealth and he said: 'Allhumma, salli ala ali abi awfa(O Allah! Send blessing upon the family of Abu Awfa).' ”

It was narrated that from Musawir Al Himyari from his mother that:
she heard Umm Salamah say: “I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Any woman who dies when her husband is pleased with her, will enter Paradise.' ”

"There is no one who deals in usury a great deal (to increase his wealth) but he will end up with little (i.e., his wealth will be decreased)."

"I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) saying: 'Whoever goes to the Morning prayer first thing in the morning, he goes out with the banner of faith but whoever goes out to the marketplace first thing in the morning, he goes out under the banner of Iblis (Satan).' "

"Prices rose at the time of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), and they said: 'Why do you not fix the food prices, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'I hope that when I leave you, no one among you will be demanding restitution for a wrong that I have done to him."'

"Do not meet the traders on the way, and whoever meets any of them and buys from him, the vendor has the choice of annulling the transaction when he comes to the marketplace.''

so the following year he spent twenty days in I’tikaf.

grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (saw) slaughtered his
sacrifice at the side of an alley, on the road of Banu Zuraiq, with
his own hand, using a blade.”

narrated that Asma’ bint Yazid said:
“Some food was brought to
the Prophet (saw) and it was offered to us. We said: ‘We do not

any appetite for it.’ He said: ‘Do not combine hunger and
lies.’”

It was
narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“By the One in Whose Hand is
my
soul, the Prophet of Allah (saw) never ate his fill of wheat bread
for three days in a row, until Allah took his soul.”

“The Messenger of Allah (saw)

to say: ‘Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-ju’, fa innahu
bi’sad-
daji’, wa a’udhu bika minal-khiyanah, fa innaha
bi’satil-bitanah (O
Allah, I seek refuge with You from hunger, for
it is a bad companion,
and I seek refuge with You from treachery, for
it is a bad thing to
hide in one’s heart).’”

narrated that Abu Khizamah said:
“The Messenger of Allah (saw)

asked: ‘Do you think that the medicines with which we treat
ourselves, the Ruqyah by which we seek healing, and the means of
protection that we seek, change the decree of Allah at all?’ He
said:
‘They are part of the decree of Allah.’”

‘Abdur-Rahman Al-A’raj said:

middle of his head, while he was a Muhrim.”

It was
narrated from Abu Kabshah Al-Anmari that the Prophet (saw)
used to be
cupped on his head and between his shoulders, and he said:
“Whoever
lets blood from these places, it does not matter if he does
not seek
treatment for anything else.”

It was
narrated from ‘Umar that he used to forbid silk and brocade
except
that which was like that, then he gestured with his finger,
then his
second finger, then his third, then his fourth,* and said:
“The
Messenger of Allah (saw) used to forbid that to us.”

“Some Nabidh from an
(earthenware)
jar was brought to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and it
was bubbling.
He said: ‘Throw this against the wall, for this is the
drink of one
who does not believe in Allah and the Last Day.’”

Husain bin ‘Awf told me: I
said:
“O Messenger of Allah, the command for Hajj has come but my
father
cannot perform Hajj unless he is tied to a saddle.” Some time
passed, then he said: “Perform Hajj on behalf of your father.”

“I performed prayer with

hear him reciting: ‘So verily, I swear by the planets that recede.
And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves.’”[81:15-16]

narrated from Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman that he heard the
Messenger of
Allah (saw) say when he bowed:
“Subhana Rabbiyal-‘Azim
(Glory is
to my Lord, the Most Great)” three times, and when he
prostrated he
said: “Subhana Rabbiyal-A’la (Glory is to my Lord the
Most High)”
three times.

mutaqabbalan (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly
provision and acceptable deeds).’”

Sunan Ibn Majah 1012
It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (saw)
said:
“When anyone of you enters the mosque, let him not sit down
until
he performs two Rak’ah.”
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ
" إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلاَ يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى يَرْكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1031
It was
narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abdur-Rahman said:
“The Prophet
(saw) came to us and led us in prayer in the mosque of Banu
‘Abdul-
Ashhal, and I saw him putting his hands on his garment when
he
prostrated.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ جَاءَنَا النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَصَلَّى بِنَا فِي مَسْجِدِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الأَشْهَلِ فَرَأَيْتُهُ وَاضِعًا يَدَيْهِ عَلَى ثَوْبِهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1101
‘Abdur-Rahman bin Sa’d bin ‘Ammar bin Sad, the Mu’adh-dhin of
the
Prophet (saw), said:
“My father told me, narrating from his
father,
from his grandfather, that during the time of the Messenger
of Allah
(saw), he used to call the Adhan on Fridays when the shadow
was like a
sandal strap.”
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، مُؤَذِّنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُؤَذِّنُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إِذَا كَانَ الْفَىْءُ مِثْلَ الشِّرَاكِ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1457
It was
narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas and ‘Aishah that Abu Bakr kissed the
Prophet (SAW) when he died.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، وَالْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ، وَسَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، وَعَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، قَبَّلَ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1470
It was
narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar said:
“The Messenger of
Allah
(SAW) was shrouded in three thin white Suhuli cloths.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْعَسْقَلاَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ هَذَا مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ أَبِي مُعَيْدٍ، حَفْصِ بْنِ غَيْلاَنَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ كُفِّنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فِي ثَلاَثِ رِيَاطٍ بِيضٍ سَحُولِيَّةٍ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1527
It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that a black woman used to sweep
the
mosque. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) noticed she was missing and
he
asked about her after a few days. He was told that she had died. He
said:
“Why did you not tell me?” Then he went to her grave and
offered
the funeral prayer for her.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، . أَنَّ امْرَأَةً، سَوْدَاءَ كَانَتْ تَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ فَفَقَدَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهَا بَعْدَ أَيَّامٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهَا مَاتَتْ . قَالَ
" فَهَلاَّ آذَنْتُمُونِي " . فَأَتَى قَبْرَهَا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا .
