“The most complete of the believers in faith, is the one with the best character among them. And the best of you are those who are best to your women.”

"It is not right for a Muslim man to spend two nights, having what he would will, without having his will written with him."

A believer does not undergo (the trouble) of running a thorn or more than that when Allah effaces his sins.

The Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) led the morning prayer for us at al-Hudaybiyah following rainfall during the night. When the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) finished, he faced the people and said to them: Do you know what your Lord has said? They said: Allah and his Messenger know best. He said: This morning one of my servants became a believer in Me and one a disbeliever. As for him who said: We have been given rain by virtue of Allah and His mercy, that one is a believer in Me, a disbeliever in the stars (2); and as for him who said: We have been given rain by such-and-such a star, that one is a disbeliever in Me, a believer in the stars. (2) The pre-Islamic Arabs believed that rain was brought about by the movement of stars. This Hadith draws attention to the fact that whatever be the direct cause of such natural phenomena as rain, it is Allah the Almighty who is the Disposer of all things. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Malik and an-Nasa'i).

Jabir b. Samura told that he heard God's messenger say, "A band of the Muslims will certainly gain the treasure of the family of Kisra which is in al-Abyad." * *A fortress in the Persian capital al-Mada'in. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu ’Ubaidah al-Jarrah (RAA) narrated, ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) say, “Muslims must respect the protection granted (to a non-Muslim) by other Muslims.” Related by Ibn Abi Shaibah and Ahmad with a weakness in its chain of narrators.

When a Muslim is questioned in the grave he testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah’s Apostle. That is verified by Allah’s words: “Allah establishes those who believe with the word that stands firm.”

None of you is a believer until I am dearer to him than his child, his father, and the whole of mankind.

The Prophet (saws) said: It is not allowable for a Muslim to keep apart from his brother for more than three days, for one who does so and dies will enter Hell.

Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, “The last hour will not come before Medina drives away its wicked people as the bellows drives away the impurity of iron." Muslim transmitted it.

Anas said, “When we prayed behind the Prophet at midday in summer we prostrated ourselves on our clothing to protect ourselves from the heat.” (Bukhari and Muslim, the wording being Bukhari’s.)

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone misses the afternoon prayer, it is as though he had been cut off from his family and his property.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

‘A’isha told of God's Messenger as saying in his illness from which he did not recover, “God curse the Jews and Christians! They have taken the graves of their prophets as mosques.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Anas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Adopt a moderate position when prostrating yourselves, and see that none of you stretches out his forearms [on the ground] like a dog.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He said that the Prophet led him and his mother, or his maternal aunt, in prayer, adding, “He set me at his right and set the woman behind us." Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Does he who raises his head before the imam not fear that God may change his head into a donkey’s?” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He said that God’s Messenger did not pray after the Friday noon prayer till he had departed. He would then pray two rak'as in his house. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The witr* is a rak'a at the end of the night.” * Literally ‘single’, or ‘odd’, used of an odd number of rak'as prayed at some time during the night. Muslim transmitted it.

Mu'adha said she asked ‘A’isha how many rak'as God’s Messenger prayed at the forenoon prayer, and she replied, “Four rak'as, but sometimes more, as God pleased.” Muslim transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Abbas said, “God has prescribed the prayer by the tongue of your Prophet as four rak'as when resident, two when travelling, and one when danger is present.” Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir said there was an eclipse of the sun in the time of God’s Messenger on the day his son Ibrahim died. He led the people in prayer, performing six bowings and four prostrations. Muslim transmitted it.

‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, “When a man is always begging from people the result will be that he will come on the day of resurrection with no flesh on his face.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported God’s messenger as saying, “I have seen a man going about in paradise as a reward for cutting down a tree which was overhanging a road and annoying people." Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir told of hearing God's messenger say, “One person’s food is enough for two, two persons’ food is enough for four, and four persons' food is enough for eight.” Muslim transmitted it.

“If anyone resorts to a diviner (arraf) and asks him about anything prayer will not be accepted from him for forty days.”* Muslim transmitted it. * Literally, Nights.

He told that he heard God’s Messenger say, “If anyone knows how to shoot and gives it up he does not belong to us,” or, “he has been disobedient.” Muslim transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Umar told that God's Messenger used to give to some of the detachments he sent out booty for themselves in particular apart from the division made to the whole army. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, "He who enters paradise will be in affluent circumstances and will not be destitute, his clothing will not wear out and his youth will not pass away." Muslim transmitted it.

Anas reported God's messenger as saying, "I am the prophet who will have the greatest number of followers on the day of resurrection, and I shall be the first to knock at the gate of paradise." Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira told that when God's messenger was asked to invoke a curse on the polytheists, he replied, "I was not sent as one given to cursing; I was sent only as a mercy." Muslim transmitted it.

Narrated (rad): Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, "When the skin is tanned it becomes purified.” [Reported by Muslim]. Al-Arba’a have the words: "Any skin that is tanned ... "

The Prophet (saw) performed ablution and passed wet hands on his forelock, over the turban and over the two leather socks. [ Reported by Muslim].

Jabir bin Samurah (RAA) narrated, ‘A man who killed himself with a broad-headed arrow, was brought to the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) but he did not offer the funeral prayer for him.’ Related by Muslim.

Abu Dharr (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Do not consider any act of goodness as being insignificant even if it is meeting your brother with a cheerful face.” Related by Muslim.

"He started with the front of his head, moved them (his hands) to the nape of his neck, and then returned them to the place where he started."

Anas (RAA) narrated, 'Allah sent down the verses stating the prohibition of alcohol when there was no other beverage to drink in Madinah except that prepared from dates (wine of dates).' Related by Muslim.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "A slave is entitled to his food and clothing, and he should be burdened except with the work that he is capable of doing." [Reported by Muslim].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) handed over to the Jews of Khaibar, the palm-trees and the land of Khaibar, on condition that they should employ their own resources in working on it and keep half of its produce.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) was asked in the expedition of Tabuk about the Sutra of the person who is offering the prayer; he said , "It is (something) like the back of a saddle." [Reported by Muslim].

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Yawning is caused by the devil, so when one of you yawns he must repress it as much as he can." [Reported by Muslim].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "When you prostrate, place the palms of your hands on the ground and raise your elbows." [Reported by Muslim).

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "When anyone of you prays the Jumu'ah prayer, he should pray four (optional) Rak'at after it." [Reported by Muslim].

Samura b. Jundub and al-Mughira b. Shu'ba reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone relates a tradition from me thinking that it is false, he is one of the liars.” Muslim transmitted it.

‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, “When the night approaches on this side and the day retreats on that side and the sun sets, he who fasts has reached the time to break it.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Umm Salama reported God’s messenger as saying, “When you are with one who is ill or dying speak good words, for the angels say Amen to what you say.” Muslim transmitted it.

He reported God’s messenger as saying, “When you see a funeral stand up; but anyone who follows it must not sit down till the bier is placed on the ground.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abū Mas'ūd reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone recites the two verses at the end of sūra al-Baqara at night they will avert harm from him.” *Or will be enough for him. (Bukhārī and Muslim.)

Abūd Dardā’ reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone learns by heart ten verses at the beginning of sūra al-Kahf (Qur’ān, 18) he will be pro­tected from the dajjal.” Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir said that God's Messenger cursed the one who accepted usury, the one who paid it, the one who recorded it, and the two witnesses to it, saying they were all alike. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone becomes insolvent and a creditor finds his very property with him, he is more entitled to it than anyone else.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Jabir reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone has land he should cultivate it, or lend it to his brother; but if he refuses he should retain his land.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Jabir reported God's Messenger as saying, “A man must not spend the night in the house of a woman who has been married unless he is her husband or a close relative.” Muslim transmitted it.

Sa‘d b. Abu Waqqas and Abu Bakra reported God’s Messenger as saying, "If anyone knowingly claims as father one who is not his father, paradise is forbidden to him.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “A slave is entitled to his food and clothing, and he should have imposed on him only such work as he is capable of doing.” Muslim transmitted it.

‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When a slave acts sincerely towards his master and worships God well, he has a double reward.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, "If anyone swears an oath and considers something else to be better than it he should make atonement for his oath and do that.” Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir reported God’s messenger as saying, “What you do will not bring any of you into paradise or protect you from hell, including myself, except by God’s mercy.” Muslim transmitted it.

" Allah may make his face like the face of an ass."

“I became Muslim and I had eight wives. I went to the Prophet and told him about that. He said: 'Choose four of them.' ”

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah loves a slave who is pious, free of all wants and the unnoticed."

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The expiation for beating or slapping a slave on the face for something he has not done is to set him free."

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "It is enough for a man to prove himself a liar when he goes on narrating whatever he hears."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who relates from me something which he deems false is one of the liars."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who supplicates sincerely for martyrdom, it will be granted to him even though he is not killed on the battlefield."

The Messenger of Allah said, "When Allah wishes good for someone, He bestows upon him the understanding of Deen."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah makes the way to Jannah easy for him who treads the path in search of knowledge."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "A believer never satisfies doing good until he reaches Jannah."

[At- Tirmidhi].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was asked: "Which Salat is the best?" He replied, " The best Salat is that in which Qiyam (the duration of standing) is longer."

I came to the Prophet (PBUH) when he was in the mosque, and he said to me, "Perform two Rak'ah prayer."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to perform four Rak'ah of Duha prayer (at the forenoon) and would add to them whatever Allah wished.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Dajjal (the Antichrist) will be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan and will be dressed in robes of green coloured satin."

"This Verse - 'And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell' - was revealed six months after the Verse which was revealed in Surat Al-Furqan."

"The blood money for a disbeliever is half the blood money for the believer." (Hassan)

The Prophet [SAW] commanded him to call out on the days of At-Tashriq that no one would enter Paradise except a believer, and that these were the days of eating and drinking.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who repents before the sun rises from the west, Allah will forgive him".

It is not lawful for a Muslim woman to travel a night's journey except when there is a Mahram with her.

Hakim b. Hizam was born inside the Ka'ba and lived for one hundred and twenty years.

None of you should use the word al-harin (for grape) for the heart of a believer is karm (worthy of respect).
