Mishkat al-Masabih 1751

Ibn ‘Umar said God’s messenger forbade the following of a bier which was accompanied by a woman wailing shrilly. Ahmad and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُتْبَعَ جَنَازَةٌ مَعهَا رانة. رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَابْن مَاجَه
