Sahih al-Bukhari
Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "Whoever says about me what I have not said, let him take his seat in the Hellfire."

حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: «مَنْ يَقُلْ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَقُلْ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ».

(3) Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ: His full name is Salamah ibn ʿAmr ibn al-Akwaʿ; he attended the Bayʿat al-Riḍwān and died in 74 AH. (Taqrīb, 1/318.) Takhrīj: Al-Bukhārī in Kitāb al-ʿIlm (109), chapter: The sin of lying about the Prophet (ﷺ); Aḥmad (4/47) with the wording "whoever lies about me intentionally"; al-Dārimī (1/76–77) through several chains from Anas, Ibn al-Zubayr, and others; al-Baghawī in Sharḥ al-Sunnah (116).
