Ja'far ibn Muhammad reports that his father said:

"Al-Hasan and al-Husain used to wear signet rings on their left hands."

حَدَّثَنَا قتيبة بن سعيد ‏,‏ حَدَّثَنَا حاتم بن إسماعيل ‏,‏ عن جَعْفَرٍ بن محمد ‏,‏ عن أبيه ‏,‏ قَالَ‏:‏ كان الحسن والحسين يتختمان في يسارهما‏.‏
