Sahih Muslim 1054
'Amr b. al-'As reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
He Is successful who has accepted Islam, who has been provided with sufficient for his want and been made contented by Allah with what He has given him.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي، أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ شَرِيكٍ - عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَرُزِقَ كَفَافًا وَقَنَّعَهُ اللَّهُ بِمَا آتَاهُ " .

Abu Huraira reported:
A person came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him). The rest of the hadith is the same as transmitted by jarir but with this addition: By your father, you would get the information.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، وَابْنِ، شُبْرُمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي،
زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ
جَرِيرٍ وَزَادَ فَقَالَ " نَعَمْ وَأَبِيكَ لَتُنَبَّأَنَّ " .

It was narrated that Abu Juhaifah said:
`Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The best of this ummah after its Prophet is Abu Bakr, and after Abu Bakr it is ‘Umar (رضي الله عنهما), and if I wanted to tell you of the third one, I could do so.

A journey undertaken in the morning or evening (for Jihad) in the way of Allah is better than (anything) on which the sun rises or sets.

Umm Sharik reported that she consulted Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) in regard to killing of geckos, and he commanded to kill them and Umm Sharik is one of the women of Bani 'Amir b. Luwayy. This hadith has been reported through another chain of transmitters with the same meaning.

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ شَرِيكٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا، اسْتَأْمَرَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي قَتْلِ الْوِزْغَانِ
فَأَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهَا . وَأُمُّ شَرِيكٍ إِحْدَى نِسَاءِ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ لُؤَىٍّ . اتَّفَقَ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ
وَعَبْدِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَرِيبٌ مِنْهُ .

صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ تَذْهَبُ الأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْجَهْجَاهُ
" . قَالَ مُسْلِمٌ هُمْ أَرْبَعَةُ إِخْوَةٍ شَرِيكٌ وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ وَعُمَيْرٌ وَعَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ

The Prophet (saws) said: He who is two-faced in this world will have two tongues of fire on the Day of Resurrection.

Sahih Muslim 2403 e
Sa'id b. al-Musayyib reported Abu Musa Ash'ari having said that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) set out one day to the suburbs of Medina for reliev- ing himself. I followed his steps. The rest of the hadith is the same. Ibn Musayyib said:
I concluded (from the manner of their sitting) the (order) of their graves. (The three) would be together (the graves of the Holy Prophet, Hadrat Abu Bakr and Hadrat Umar) and that of 'Uthman would be separate (from them).

إِلَى حَائِطٍ بِالْمَدِينَةِ لِحَاجَتِهِ فَخَرَجْتُ فِي إِثْرِهِ . وَاقْتَصَّ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ سُلَيْمَانَ
بْنِ بِلاَلٍ وَذَكَرَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ . فَتَأَوَّلْتُ ذَلِكَ قُبُورَهُمُ اجْتَمَعَتْ هَا هُنَا وَانْفَرَدَ
عُثْمَانُ .

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُصْمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " فِي ثَقِيفٍ كَذَّابٌ وَمُبِيرٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى يُقَالُ الْكَذَّابُ الْمُخْتَارُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ وَالْمُبِيرُ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ . حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ قَالَ أَحْصَوْا مَا قَتَلَ الْحَجَّاجُ صَبْرًا فَبَلَغَ مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَلْفَ قَتِيلٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ .
حَدَّثَنَا

Sahih Muslim 1608 b
Jabir bin 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) said that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) decreed pre-emption in every joint ownership and not divided-the one-it may be a dwelling or a garden. It is not lawful for him (for the partner) to sell that until his partner gives his consent. He (the partner) is entitled to buy it when he desires and he can abandon it if he so likes. And if he (the one partner) sells it without getting the consent of the (other partner), he has the greatest right to it.

Abdullah reported that when it was evening Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) used to supplicate:
" We have entered upon evening and so has the Kingdom of Allah entere d upon evening; praise is due to Allah, there is no god but Allah the One, and there is no partner with Him. O Allah, I beg of Thee the blessing of this night and the blessing of that which lies in it. I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of it and what lies in it. O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from sloth, from decrepitude, from the evil of vanity, from trial of the world, and from torment of the grave." Zubaid, through another chain of transmitters, has narrated on the authority of Abdullah directly this addition:" There is no god but Allah, the One, there is no partner with Him, His is the Sovereignty and to Him is praise due and He is Potent over everything."

مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَسُوءِ الْكِبَرِ وَفِتْنَةِ الدُّنْيَا
وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ " . قَالَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَزَادَنِي فِيهِ زُبَيْدٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ
عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَفَعَهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ " لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ

It was narrated from 'Adiyy bin Thabit, from his father, from his grandfather, that:
The Prophet said: "The woman who experiences irregular non-menstrual bleeding should leave prayer during the days of her period, then she should take a bath, and perform ablution for each prayer, and she should fast and perform the prayer."

It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) instructed me to sacrifice two rams on his behalf, and I like to do that. Muhammad bin `Ubaid al-Muharibi said in his hadeeth: He sacrificed two rams, one on behalf of the Prophet (ﷺ) and one on behalf of himself. Something was said to him (concerning that) and he said: “He ordered me to do it and I will never omit to do it.”

So the Prophet preached to them and said, "A woman whose three children died would be screened from the Hell Fire by them," Hearing that, a woman asked, "If two died?" The Prophet replied, "Even two (would screen her from the (Hell) Fire. " And Abu Huraira added, "Those children should be below the age of puberty. "

Miqdan bin Shuraih reported on the authority of his father. I asked A’ishah about settling in the desert (to worship Allaah in loneliness). She said “The Apostle of Allaah(saws) would go out (from Madina) to these torrential streams. Once he intended to go out to the desert (for worshipping Allaah). He sent me a She-Camel from the Camels of sadaqah that was not used as a mount. He said to me “A’ishah be lenient, for leniency makes a thing decorated and when it is removed from a thing it makes it defective.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ، ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - عَنِ الْبَدَاوَةِ، فَقَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَبْدُو إِلَى هَذِهِ التِّلاَعِ وَإِنَّهُ أَرَادَ الْبَدَاوَةَ مَرَّةً فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَىَّ نَاقَةً مُحَرَّمَةً مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَقَالَ لِي " يَا عَائِشَةُ ارْفُقِي فَإِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي شَىْءٍ قَطُّ إِلاَّ زَانَهُ وَلاَ نُزِعَ مِنْ شَىْءٍ قَطُّ إِلاَّ شَانَهُ " .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3944
Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "In Thaqif there is a liar and a destroyer."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُصْمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " فِي ثَقِيفٍ كَذَّابٌ وَمُبِيرٌ " .
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ . وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُصْمٍ يُكْنَى أَبَا عُلْوَانَ وَهُوَ كُوفِيٌّ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ شَرِيكٍ . وَشَرِيكٌ يَقُولُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُصْمٍ وَإِسْرَائِيلُ يَرْوِي عَنْ هَذَا الشَّيْخِ وَيَقُولُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُصْمَةَ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ

Sunan Abi Dawud 4808
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:
Al-Miqdam ibn Shurayh, quoting his father, said: I asked Aisha about living in the desert. She said: The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to go to the desert to these rivulets. Once he intended to go to the desert and he sent to me a she-camel from the camel of sadaqah which had not been used for riding so far. He said to me: Aisha! show gentleness, for if gentleness is found in anything, it beautifies it and when it is taken out from anything it damages it.
Ibn al-Sabbah said in his version: Muharramah means a mount which has not been used for riding.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّازُ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الْبَدَاوَةِ، فَقَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَبْدُو إِلَى هَذِهِ التِّلاَعِ وَإِنَّهُ أَرَادَ الْبَدَاوَةَ مَرَّةً فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَىَّ نَاقَةً مُحَرَّمَةً مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَقَالَ لِي " يَا عَائِشَةُ ارْفُقِي فَإِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي شَىْءٍ قَطُّ إِلاَّ زَانَهُ وَلاَ نُزِعَ مِنْ شَىْءٍ قَطُّ إِلاَّ شَانَهُ " . قَالَ ابْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ مُحَرَّمَةٌ يَعْنِي لَمْ تُرْكَبْ .

Sahih Muslim 2403 d
Abu Musa. reported:
I set out with the intention (of meeting) Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and came to know that he had gone to the gardens (in the suburb of Medina). I followed him and found him in a garden sitting upon an elevated place round the well with his shanks uncovered which had been dangling in the well. The rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation that there is no mention of the words of Sa'id: all drew a conclusion from it pertaining to their graves."
حَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُفَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي

أُرِيدُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَوَجَدْتُهُ قَدْ سَلَكَ فِي الأَمْوَالِ فَتَبِعْتُهُ فَوَجَدْتُهُ قَدْ
دَخَلَ مَالاً فَجَلَسَ فِي الْقُفِّ وَكَشَفَ عَنْ سَاقَيْهِ وَدَلاَّهُمَا فِي الْبِئْرِ . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى
حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَسَّانَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قَوْلَ سَعِيدٍ فَأَوَّلْتُهَا قُبُورَهُمْ .

Sahih Muslim 2696
Mu'sab b. Sa'd reported on the authority of his father that a desert Arab came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said to him:
Teach me the words which I should (often) utter. He said: Utter," There is no god but Allah, the One, having no partner with Him. Allah is the Greatest of the great and all praise is due to Him. Exalted is Allah (He is free from imperfection), the Lord of the worlds, there is no Might and Power but that of Allah, the All-Powerful and the Wise." He (that desert Arab) said: These all (glorify) my Lord. But what about me? Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: You should say:" O Allah, grant me pardon, have mercy upon me, direct me to righteousness and provide me sustenance." Musa (one of the narrators) said: I think he also said:" Grant me safety." But I cannot say for certain whether he said this or not. Ibn Abi Shaiba has not made a mention of the words of Musa in his narration.

فَقَالَ عَلِّمْنِي كَلاَمًا أَقُولُهُ قَالَ " قُلْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا وَالْحَمْدُ
لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ " . قَالَ فَهَؤُلاَءِ
لِرَبِّي فَمَا لِي قَالَ " قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاهْدِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي " . قَالَ مُوسَى أَمَّا
عَافِنِي فَأَنَا أَتَوَهَّمُ وَمَا أَدْرِي . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَوْلَ مُوسَى .

It was
narrated that ‘Umar said:
“The prayer while traveling is two
Rak’ah, and Friday is two Rak’ah, and ‘Eid is two Rak’ah.
They are
complete and are not shortened, as told by Muhammad (SAW).”

It was narrated from Miqdam bin Shuraih bin Hani' that his father said:
"I said to 'Aishah: 'Tell me, what was the first thing that the Messenger of Allah did when he entered upon you?' She said: 'The first thing he would do would be to use the tooth stick.'"

Sunan Ibn Majah 1178
It was
narrated that Al-Hasan bin ‘Ali said:
“My grandfather, the
Messenger of Allah (saw), taught me some words to say in Qunut of
Witr: Allahumma ‘afini fiman ‘afait, wa tawallani fiman
tawallait,
wahdini fiman hadait, wa qini sharra ma qadait, wa barik
li fima
a’tait. Innaka taqdi wa la yuqda ‘alaik, innahu la
yudhillu man
walait. Subhanaka rabbana tabarakta wa ta’alait (O
Allah, pardon me
along with those whom You have pardoned, be an ally
to me along with
those whom You are an ally to, guide me along with
those whom You have
guided, protect me from the evil that You have
decreed, and bless for
me that which You have bestowed. For verily
You decree and none can
decree over You. He whom You support can
never be humiliated. Glory is
to You, our Lord, You are Blessed and
Exalted).”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ عَلَّمَنِي جَدِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَلِمَاتٍ أَقُولُهُنَّ فِي قُنُوتِ الْوِتْرِ " اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ وَاهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ إِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلاَ يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1400
It was
narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
“Your Prophet (saw) was
enjoined
to do fifty prayers but he returned to your Lord to make
(i.e.,
reduce) them to five prayers.”

Sahih Muslim 1344 a
Abdullah b. 'Umar reported that whenever Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came back from the battle or from expeditions or from Hajj or Umra and as he reached the top of the hillock or upon the elevated hard ground, he uttered Allah-o- Akbar thrice, and then said:
There is no god but Allah. He is One, there is no partner with Him, His is the sovereignty and His is the praise and He is Potent over everything. (We are) returning, repenting, worshipping, prostrating before our Lord, and we praise Him Allah fulfilled His promise and helped His servant, and routed the confederates alone.

وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، - وَهُوَ الْقَطَّانُ - عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا قَفَلَ مِنَ الْجُيُوشِ أَوِ السَّرَايَا أَوِ الْحَجِّ أَوِ الْعُمْرَةِ إِذَا أَوْفَى عَلَى ثَنِيَّةٍ أَوْ فَدْفَدٍ كَبَّرَ ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ قَالَ " لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ سَاجِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ " .
