'Amr b. al-Sharid quoted his father al-Sharid b. Suwaid as saying:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) came upon me when I was sitting thus: having my left hand behind my back and leaning on the fleshy part of it, and said: Are you sitting in the manner of those with whom Allah is angry?

" أَتَقْعُدُ قِعْدَةَ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ " .

Anas said :
Messenger of Allah (SWAS) prayed four rak’ahs at Madinah and prayed two rak’ahs of afternoon prayer at Dhu-al Hulaifah. He then passed the night at Dhu-al Hulaifah till the morning came. When he rode on his mount and it stood up on its back, he raised his voice in talbiyah.

‘Abdallah b. as-Sa’ib said:
God’s Messenger led us in the Morning Prayer in Mecca and began the Sura al-Mu’minun1, but when he came to the reference to Moses and Aaron2, or to the reference to Jesus3, a cough got the better of him and he bowed.

Uqbah bin Amir reported:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: There have been sent down to me verses the like of which had never been seen before. (They are): "Qul a’oodhu birabbil Falaq (Surat al-Falaq)”, and “Qul a’oodhu birabbin-naas (Surat al-Nās).”

" أَلَمْ تَرَ آيَاتٍ أُنْزِلَتِ اللَّيْلَةَ لَمْ يُرَ مِثْلُهُنَّ قَطُّ ( قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ) وَ ( قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ) ".
Hadith 39, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi
On the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Verily Allah has pardoned [or been lenient with] for me my ummah: their mistakes, their forgetfulness, and that which they have been forced to do under duress.
A hasan hadeeth related by Ibn Majah, and al-Bayhaqee and others.
عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم قَالَ: "إنَّ اللَّهَ تَجَاوَزَ لِي عَنْ أُمَّتِي الْخَطَأَ وَالنِّسْيَانَ وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ" .
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ [رقم:2045]، وَالْبَيْهَقِيّ ["السنن" 7 ].

Mishkat al-Masabih 2799, 2800
‘Ubaid b. Rifa'a on his father’s authority reported the Prophet as saying, "The merchants will be raised up on the day of resurrection as evildoers, except those who fear God, are honest and speak the truth.”
Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, and Baihaqi transmitted it in Shu'ab al-iman on the authority of al-Bara’. Tirmidhi said this is a hasan sahih tradition.
وَعَن عبيد بنِ رفاعةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «التُّجَّارُ يُحْشَرُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فُجَّارًا إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّقَى وَبَرَّ وَصَدَقَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْن مَاجَه

Mishkat al-Masabih 3417
‘A’isha said that the verse, "God will not take you to account for what is futile in your oaths” (Al-Qu’ran 2:225; 5:89) was sent down about such phrases as "No, by God,” and "Yes, by God.”
Bukhari transmitted it. Sharh as-sunna has the wording of al-Masabih, saying that some transmitters traced it back to the Prophet on ‘A’isha’s authority.

Wahb al-Khuza'i reported:
I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) at Mina, and there was the greatest number of people, and they prayed two rak'ahs on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage. (Muslim said: Haritha b. Wahb al-Khuza'i is the brother of 'Ubaidullah b. 'Umar son of Khattab from the side of his mother.)

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'as (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "There are forty kinds of virtue, the highest of which is to gift a (milch) she goat. He who practises any of these virtues, expecting its reward (from Allah) and believing on the verity of the promise made for it, will enter Jannah."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Said ibn al- Musayyab that Umar ibn al-Khattab and Uthman ibn Affan and A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say, "When the circumcised part touches the circumcised part, ghusl is obligatory."

Jabir is reported to have said:
A person amongst the Ansar who had no other property declared a slave free after his death. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) sold him, and Ibn al-Nahham bought him and he was a Coptic slave (who) died in the first year of the Caliphate of Ibn Zubair.

Al-Agharr al-Muzani who was from amongst the Companions of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) reported that Ibn 'Umar stated to him that Allah's Messenger (may peace 'be upon him) said:
O people, seek repentance from Allah. Verily, I seek repentance from Him a hundred times a day.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي،

" يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ

Umm al-Fadl, daughter of al-Harith, said:
On the day of 'Arafah some people near her argued whether the Messenger of Allah (saws) was fasting, some saying that he was, and others saying that he was not. I, therefore, sent him a cup of milk while he was observing the halt at 'Arafah on his camel, and he drank it.
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ نَاسًا، تَمَارَوْا عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فِي صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ هُوَ صَائِمٌ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَيْسَ بِصَائِمٍ . فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ بِعَرَفَةَ فَشَرِبَ .

Musnad Ahmad 444, 445
Sa`eed bin al-Musayyab said. I heard ‘Uthman (رضي الله عنه) delivering a khutbah from the minbar. He said:
I used to buy dates from one of the Jewish clans who were called Banu Qainuqa`, and sell them at a profit. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who said: `O `Uthman, when you buy, take your dues with nothing extra, and when you sell, give (the other party`s) dues with nothing less.`
Moosa bin Wardan narrated from Sa`eed bin al-Musayyab from ‘Uthman bin `Affan (رضي الله عنه)... and he mentioned a similar report.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ وَرْدَانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ كُنْتُ أَبْتَاعُ التَّمْرَ مِنْ بَطْنٍ مِنْ الْيَهُودِ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ بَنُو قَيْنُقَاعَ فَأَبِيعُهُ بِرِبْحٍ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا عُثْمَانُ إِذَا اشْتَرَيْتَ فَاكْتَلْ وَإِذَا بِعْتَ فَكِلْ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ وَرْدَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.

Jafar bin Muhamad narrated that hi father said:
"We enterd upon Jabir bin Abdullah and I said: "Tell me about the Hajj of the Prophet.' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah moved on from Al-Muzadalifah before the sun rose, and Al-Fadl bin Abbas rode behind him. When he came to Muhassir he sped up a little, then he follwed the middle road that brings you out at the largest Jamrat. When he came to the Jamrat whichis by the tree, he threw seven pebbles, saying the Takbir with each one, (using) pebbles the size of the date stones of fingertips, and he threw from the bottom of the valley.'"
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ دَخَلْنَا عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَفَعَ مِنَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَأَرْدَفَ الْفَضْلَ بْنَ الْعَبَّاسِ حَتَّى أَتَى مُحَسِّرًا حَرَّكَ قَلِيلاً ثُمَّ سَلَكَ الطَّرِيقَ الْوُسْطَى الَّتِي تُخْرِجُكَ عَلَى الْجَمْرَةِ الْكُبْرَى حَتَّى أَتَى الْجَمْرَةَ الَّتِي عِنْدَ الشَّجَرَةِ فَرَمَى بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ مِنْهَا حَصَى الْخَذْفِ رَمَى مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي .

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 150
Al-Hasan reported that Sa'sa'a ibn Mu'awiya told him that he met Abu
Dharr finding him alone without any relatives and asked, "Don't you have
any children, Abu Dharr?" He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace, say, 'There is no Muslim who has three of
his children die before they reach puberty without Allah admitting him to
the Garden by virtue of His mercy to them. There is no man who frees a Muslim
with Allah Almighty making each of the limbs of the one who is freed a ransom
for each of the emancipator's limbs.'"
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى الْفُضَيْلِ: عَنْ أَبِي حَرِيزٍ، أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ حَدَّثَهُ بِوَاسِطَ، أَنَّ صَعْصَعَةَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ لَقِيَ أَبَا ذَرٍّ مُتَوَشِّحًا قِرْبَةً، قَالَ: مَا لَكَ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ: أَلاَ أُحَدِّثُكَ؟ قُلْتُ: بَلَى، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَمُوتُ لَهُ ثَلاَثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ، إِلاَّ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَتِهِ إِيَّاهُمْ، وَمَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ أَعْتَقَ مُسْلِمًا إِلاَّ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كُلَّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ، فِكَاكَهُ لِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ.

Riyad as-Salihin 440
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah says: 'I am just as My slave thinks of Me when he remembers Me.' By Allah! Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than one of you who unexpectedly finds in the desert his lost camel. 'He who comes closer to Me one span, I come closer to him a cubit; and he who comes closer to Me a cubit, I come closer to him a fathom; and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running".

وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه ، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه قال: “ قال الله، عز وجل: أنا عند ظن عبدي بي وأنا معه حيث يذكرني، والله لله أفرح بتوبة عبده من أحدكم يجد ضالته بالفلاة، ومن تقرب إلي شبراً، تقربت إليه ذراعاً، ومن تقرب إلي ذراعاً، تقربت إليه باعاً، وإذا أقبل إلي يمشي، أقبلت إليه أهرول" ((متفق عليه)) . وهذا لفظ إحدى روايات مسلم. وتقدم شرحه في الباب قبله.
وروي في الصحيحين : "وأنا معه حين يذكرني" بالنون، وفي هذه الرواية "حيث” بالثاء وكلاهما صحيح.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Talha that Rafiibn Ishaq, a mawla of the family of ash-Shifa who was known as the mawla of Abu Talha, heard Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, while he was in Egypt, "By Allah! I don't know how to deal with these lavatories." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When you go to defecate or urinate, do not expose your genitals towards the qibla, and do not put your back to it."
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، مَوْلًى لآلِ الشِّفَاءِ - وَكَانَ يُقَالُ لَهُ مَوْلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ - أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الأَنْصَارِيَّ صَاحِبَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ بِمِصْرَ يَقُولُ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَدْرِي كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِهَذِهِ الْكَرَايِيسِ وَقَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِذَا ذَهَبَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْغَائِطَ أَوِ الْبَوْلَ فَلاَ يَسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ وَلاَ يَسْتَدْبِرْهَا بِفَرْجِهِ " .

Mishkat al-Masabih 467
Al-Muhajir b. Qunfudh said that he came upon the Prophet when he was passing water and saluted him, but he did not respond to the salutation till he had performed ablution. He then made his excuse to him saying, “I dislike mentioning God's name except when I am in a state of purity.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it. Nasa’i transmitted it up to “till he had performed ablution” and said, “then when he had performed ablution he responded to it.”
وَعَن المُهَاجر بن قنفذ: أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى تَوَضَّأ ثمَّ اعتذر إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: «إِنِّي كرهت أَن أذكر الله عز وَجل إِلَّا على طهر أَو قَالَ على طَهَارَة» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَرَوَى النَّسَائِيُّ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: حَتَّى تَوَضَّأَ وَقَالَ: فَلَمَّا تَوَضَّأَ رَدَّ عَلَيْهِ

Abu Wa'il reported:
'Ammar delivered to us the sermon. It was short and eloquent. When he (, Ammir) descended (from the pulpit) we said to him: 0 Abd al-Yaqzn, you have delivered a short and eloquent sermon. Would that you had lengthened (the sermon). He said: I have heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) as saying: The lengthening of prayer by a man and the shortness of the sermon is the sign of his understanding (of faith). So lengthen the prayer and shorten the sermon, for there is charm (in precise) expression.
حَدَّثَنِي سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبْجَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو وَائِلٍ خَطَبَنَا عَمَّارٌ فَأَوْجَزَ وَأَبْلَغَ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ قُلْنَا يَا أَبَا الْيَقْظَانِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتَ وَأَوْجَزْتَ فَلَوْ كُنْتَ تَنَفَّسْتَ . فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" إِنَّ طُولَ صَلاَةِ الرَّجُلِ وَقِصَرَ خُطْبَتِهِ مَئِنَّةٌ مِنْ فِقْهِهِ فَأَطِيلُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَاقْصُرُوا الْخُطْبَةَ وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا " .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn Yasar and from Busr ibn Said and from al-Araj-all of whom related it from Abu Hurayra - that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Whoever manages to do a raka of subh before the sun has risen has done subh in time, and whoever manages to do a raka of asr before the sun has set has done asr in time."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، وَعَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، وَعَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، كُلُّهُمْ يُحَدِّثُونَهُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الصُّبْحِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصُّبْحَ وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الْعَصْرَ " .

Sahih Muslim 1305 c
Anas b. Malik (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) threw stones at Jamrat al-'Aqaba. He then want to his sacrificial animal and sacrificed it, and there was sitting the barber, and he pointed with his hand towards his head, and he shaved the right half of it, and he (the Holy Prophet) distributed them (the hair) among those who were near him. And he again said:
Shave the other half, and said: Where is Abu Talha and gave it (the hair) to him.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ، بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى الْبُدْنِ فَنَحَرَهَا وَالْحَجَّامُ جَالِسٌ وَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ فَحَلَقَ شِقَّهُ الأَيْمَنَ فَقَسَمَهُ فِيمَنْ يَلِيهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " احْلِقِ الشِّقَّ الآخَرَ " . فَقَالَ " أَيْنَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ " . فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ .

Uthman b. Abu al-'As reported that he came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said:
Allah's Messenger, the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur'an and he confounds me. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:, That is (the doing of a) Satan (devil) who is known as Khinzab, and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allah from it and spit three times to your left. I did that and Allah dispelled that from me.

الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ حَالَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ صَلاَتِي وَقِرَاءَتِي يَلْبِسُهَا عَلَىَّ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله
عليه وسلم
" ذَاكَ شَيْطَانٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ خِنْزِبٌ فَإِذَا أَحْسَسْتَهُ فَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْهُ وَاتْفِلْ عَلَى يَسَارِكَ
ثَلاَثًا " . قَالَ فَفَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ فَأَذْهَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي .

Aslam, the client of 'Umar, said, "When we came to Syria with
'Umar ibn al-Khattab, the chief came to him, 'Amir al-Mu'minin, I have
prepared some food for you and I would like you to bring some nobles with
you. That will be a stronger and nobler action for me.' 'Umar said, 'We
cannot enter these churches of yours with the images which are inside them.'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمْنَا مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ الشَّامَ أَتَاهُ الدِّهْقَانُ قَالَ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، إِنِّي قَدْ صَنَعْتُ لَكَ طَعَامًا، فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي بِأَشْرَافِ مَنْ مَعَكَ، فَإِنَّهُ أَقْوَى لِي فِي عَمَلِي، وَأَشْرَفُ لِي، قَالَ: إِنَّا لاَ نَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ نَدْخُلَ كَنَائِسَكُمْ هَذِهِ مَعَ الصُّوَرِ الَّتِي فِيهَا.

Sahih Muslim 1123 a
Umm al-Fadl bint- al-Harith reported that some people argued about the fasting of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) on the day of 'Arafa. Some of them said that he had been fasting, whereas the others said that he had not been fasting. I sent a cup of milk to him while he was riding his camel at 'Arafa, and he drank it.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ نَاسًا، تَمَارَوْا عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فِي صِيَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ هُوَ صَائِمٌ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَيْسَ بِصَائِمٍ . فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ بِعَرَفَةَ فَشَرِبَهُ .

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "There will be no land which will not be trampled by Dajjal (the Antichrist) but Makkah and Al-Madinah; and there will be no passage leading to them which will not be guarded by the angels, arranged in rows. Dajjal will appear in a barren place adjacent to Al- Madinah and the city will be shaken three times. Allah will expel from it every disbeliever and hypocrite."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said and Rabia ibn Abi Abd arRahman from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad that al Furafisa ibn Umayral-Hanafi said, "I only learnt Sura Yusuf (Sura 12) from the recitation of it by Uthman ibn Affan in the subh prayer because of the great number of times he repeated it to us."

Amir al-Juhani reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) distributed sacrificial animals (amongst us for sacrificing them on 'Id al-Adha). So we sacrificed them. There fell to my lot a lamb of less than one year I said: Allah's Messenger, there has fallen to my lot a lamb (Jadha'a), whereupon he said: Sacrifice that.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ، عَنْ

صلى الله عليه وسلم فِينَا ضَحَايَا فَأَصَابَنِي جَذَعٌ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ أَصَابَنِي جَذَعٌ

" ضَحِّ بِهِ " .

Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab said:
"'Umar said: 'The blood-money is upon the 'Aqilah, and the wife does not inherit anything from the blood-money of her husband.' So Ad-Dahhak bin Sufyan Al-Kilabi informed him that the Messenger of Allah(S.A.W) wrote to him, (saying) to give the wife of Ashyam Ad-Dababi the inheritance from her husband's blood-money.'"
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ الدِّيَةُ عَلَى الْعَاقِلَةِ وَلاَ تَرِثُ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ دِيَةِ زَوْجِهَا شَيْئًا . فَأَخْبَرَهُ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْكِلاَبِيُّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ وَرِّثِ امْرَأَةَ أَشْيَمَ الضِّبَابِيِّ مِنْ دِيَةِ زَوْجِهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 2672
Al Sa’b bin Jaththamah said that he asked the Apostle of Allaah(saws) about the polytheists whose settlemnst were attacked at night when some of their offspring and women were smitten. The Prophet(saws) “They are of them. ‘Amr bin Dinar used to say “they are regarded in the same way as their parents.”
Al-Zuhri said:
Thereafter the Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited to kill women and children.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الدَّارِ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يُبَيَّتُونَ فَيُصَابُ مِنْ ذَرَارِيِّهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" هُمْ مِنْهُمْ " . وَكَانَ عَمْرٌو - يَعْنِي ابْنَ دِينَارٍ - يَقُولُ هُمْ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ . قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ ثُمَّ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ عَنْ قَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ .

I said: I saw him near al-Marwa on the back of a she- camel, and people had thronged around him. Thereupon Ibn'Abbis said: It was Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) for they (the Compainions of the Holy Prophet) were neither pushed aside from him, nor were they turned away.
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ، سَعِيدِ بْنِ الأَبْجَرِ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لاِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أُرَانِي قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ فَصِفْهُ لِي . قَالَ قُلْتُ رَأَيْتُهُ عِنْدَ الْمَرْوَةِ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ وَقَدْ كَثُرَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ . قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ذَاكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لاَ يُدَعُّونَ عَنْهُ وَلاَ يُكْهَرُونَ .

Umm Salamah said that the Prophet (May peace be upon him) came upon her when there was with her an effeminate man (mukhannath) who said to her brother ‘Abd Allah (b. Abi Umayyah) :
if Allah conquers al-Ta’if for you tomorrow, I shall lead you to a woman who has four folds of fats in front and eight behind. Thereupon the Prophet (May peace be upon him) said: Put them out of your houses.
Abu Dawud said : The woman had four folds of fat on her belly.

" أَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ بُيُوتِكُمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْمَرْأَةُ كَانَ لَهَا أَرْبَعُ عُكَنٍ فِي بَطْنِهَا .

he heard Ibn 'Umar narrate that the Prophet said; "We are an unlettered Ummah; we do not use computation. The month is like this, and this, and this," and he held down his thumb the last time. "And the month is like this, and this, and this," completing thirty.

Narrated Yahya b. Yazid al-Hannani:
I asked Anas b. Malik about the shortening of the prayer (while travelling). He said: When the Messenger of Allah (saws) went out on a journey of three miles or three farsakh (the narrator Shu'bah doubted), he used to pray two rak'ahs.

Musnad Ahmad 227
It was narrated frorn Abu Wa'il that a man who was a Christian and was known as as-Subayy bin Ma'bad became Muslim and wanted to go for jihad. It was said to him:
Start with Hajj. So he went to al-Ash'ari, who told him to enter ihram for Hajj and ‘Umrah together. So he did that, and whilst he was reciting the Talbiyah,Zaid bin Soohan and Salman bin Rabee'ah passed by him, and one of them said to the other. This one is more misguided than his family's camel. As-Subayy heard them and that upset him. When he arrived he went to 'Umar and told him about that, 'Umar رضي الله عنه said to him: You have been guided to the Sunnah of your Prophet (ﷺ). He [the narrator] said: On another occasion I heard him say: You have been helped to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَيَّارٌ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا، كَانَ نَصْرَانِيًّا يُقَالُ لَهُ الصُّبَيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ أَسْلَمَ فَأَرَادَ الْجِهَادَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ ابْدَأْ بِالْحَجِّ فَأَتَى الْأَشْعَرِيَّ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُهِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ جَمِيعًا فَفَعَلَ فَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ يُلَبِّي إِذْ مَرَّ يَزِيدُ بْنُ صُوحَانَ وَسَلْمَانُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ لَهَذَا أَضَلُّ مِنْ بَعِيرِ أَهْلِهِ فَسَمِعَهَا الصُّبَيُّ فَكَبُرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ أَتَى عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ هُدِيتَ لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُهُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى يَقُولُ وُفِّقْتَ لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ.

It was narrated that Amr - meaning, bin Umar - said:
"The Messenger of Allah came and circumambulated the House seven times, then he prayed two Rakahs behind the Maqam and performed Sai between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, and he said: 'Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow."

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3040
It was narrated that Urwah bin Mudarris said:
The Messenger of allah said: "Whoever catches up (with Fajir prayer) in Jam (Al-Muzdalifah) with the Imam and the people (and stays there) until they move on, the he has caught up with Hajj. Whoever does not catuch up with the people and the Imam, then has not caught it (Hajj).'"

that 'Umar bin Al-Khattab [may Allah be pleased with him] said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (SAW)! I wish that you could perform Salat behind the Maqam of Ibrahim.' So the following was revealed: And take you the Maqam of Ibrahim as a place of Salat."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قُلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَوِ اتَّخَذْتَ مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى فَنَزَلَتْ : (وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى ) . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ .

Narrated Al-Bara:
that regarding Allah's saying: Allah will keep firm those who believe, with the word that stands firm in this world and in the Hereafter (14:27). The Prophet (SAW) said: "In the grave, when it is said to him: 'Who is your Lord? What is your religion? And who is your Prophet?'"

Narrated Ubayy bin Ka'b:
that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Allah has not revealed the likes of Umm Al-Kitab in the Tawrah, nor the Injil. It is the seven oft-repeated, and (Allah said) 'It is divided between Myself and My slave, and My slave shall have what he asks for.'"

Yahya narrated that 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah said to him from his father, that:
The Prophet [SAW] forbade mixing Az-Zahuw and dried dates, and mixing Al-Busr and dried dates, and he said: "Soak each one of them on its own in vessels that are tied shut."

Umair, the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas, reported:
I and 'Abd al-Rahmin b. Yasir, the freed slave of Maimuna, the wife of the Apostle (way peace be upon him). came to the house of Abu'l-Jahm b. al-Harith al-Simma Ansari and he said: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) came from the direction of Bi'r Jamal and a man met him; he saluted him but the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) made no response, till he (the Holy Prophet) came to the wall, wiped his face and hands and then returned his salutations.
قَالَ مُسْلِمٌ وَرَوَى اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ أَقْبَلْتُ أَنَا وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَسَارٍ، مَوْلَى مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَبِي الْجَهْمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الصِّمَّةِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ فَقَالَ أَبُو الْجَهْمِ أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ نَحْوِ بِئْرِ جَمَلٍ فَلَقِيَهُ رَجُلٌ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى أَقْبَلَ عَلَى الْجِدَارِ فَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ رَدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمَ .

Malik related to me from Yahya ibn Said and somebody else from al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Hasan al-Basri and from Muhammad ibn Sirin that a man in the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, freed six of his slaves while he was dying. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, drew lots between them and freed a third of those slaves.
Malik added that he had heard that the man did not have any property other than them.
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، وَعَنْ غَيْرِ، وَاحِدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ، وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَعْتَقَ عَبِيدًا لَهُ سِتَّةً عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ فَأَسْهَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ ثُلُثَ تِلْكَ الْعَبِيدِ . قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِذَلِكَ الرَّجُلِ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4480
Hudayn ibn al-Mundhir ar-Ruqashi, who was AbuSasan, said:
I was present with Uthman ibn Affan when al-Walid ibn Uqbah was brought to him. Humran and another man bore witness against him (for drinking wine). One of them testified that he had seen him drinking wine, and the other testified that he had seen him vomiting it.
Uthman said: He could not vomit it, unless he did not drink it. He said to Ali: Inflict the prescribed punishment on him. Ali said to al-Hasan: Inflict the prescribed punishment on him.
Al-Hasan said: He who has enjoyed its pleasure should also bear its burden. So Ali said to Abdullah ibn Ja'far: Inflict the prescribed punishment on him. He took a whip and struck him with it while Ali was counting.
When he reached (struck) forty (lashes), he said: It is sufficient. The Prophet (saws) gave forty lashes. I think he also said: "And AbuBakr gave forty lashes, and Uthman eighty. This is all sunnah (standard practice). And this is dearer to me."
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، - الْمَعْنَى - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الدَّانَاجُ، حَدَّثَنِي حُضَيْنُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، - هُوَ أَبُو سَاسَانَ - قَالَ شَهِدْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ وَأُتِيَ بِالْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ فَشَهِدَ عَلَيْهِ حُمْرَانُ وَرَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَشَهِدَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَنَّهُ رَآهُ شَرِبَهَا - يَعْنِي الْخَمْرَ - وَشَهِدَ الآخَرُ أَنَّهُ رَآهُ يَتَقَيَّأُهَا فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَتَقَيَّأْهَا حَتَّى شَرِبَهَا . فَقَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ رضى الله عنه أَقِمْ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ . فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ لِلْحَسَنِ أَقِمْ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ . فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ وَلِّ حَارَّهَا مَنْ تَوَلَّى قَارَّهَا . فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ أَقِمْ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ . قَالَ فَأَخَذَ السَّوْطَ فَجَلَدَهُ وَعَلِيٌّ يَعُدُّ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ قَالَ حَسْبُكَ جَلَدَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَرْبَعِينَ - أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ - وَجَلَدَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَرْبَعِينَ وَعُمَرُ ثَمَانِينَ وَكُلٌّ سُنَّةٌ وَهَذَا أَحَبُّ إِلَىَّ .

Yahya related to me from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, that Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Nawfal ibn Abd al-Muttalib told him that he had heard Sad ibn Abi Waqqas and ad-Dahhak ibn Qays discussing tamattu in between umra and hajj. Ad-Dahhak ibn Qays said, "Only someone who is ignorant of what Allah, the Exalted and Glorified, says would do that." Whereupon Sad said, "How wrong is what you have just said, son of my brother!" Ad-Dahhak said, ''Umar ibn al-Khattab forbade that," and Sad said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did it, and we did it with him."

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The witr* is a rak'a at the end of the night.”

Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) sent me from Muzdalifa ahead (of the caravan) along with the luggage or with the weak ones during (the latter part of the) night.

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari:
"I went with the Prophet (SAW) and he entered a garden of the Ansar, and he relieved himself. He said to me: 'O Abu Musa! Watch the gate for me, and do not let anyone enter except with permission.' Then a man came and knocked at the gate, so I said: 'Who is it?' He said: 'Abu Bakr.' So I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (SAW)! It is Abu Bakr asking permission?' He said: 'Give him permission and give him the glad tidings of Paradise.' So he entered, and I gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. Another man came and knocked at the gate. I said: 'Who is it?' He said: "'Umar.' So I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (SAW)! It is 'Umar asking permission?' He said: 'Open it for him, and give him the glad tidings of Paradise.' I opened [the gate], he entered, and I gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. Then another man knocked at the gate. I said: 'Who is it?' So he said: ''Uthman.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! It is 'Uthman asking permission.' He said: 'Open it for him, and give him the glad tidings of Paradise due to a calamity that will befall him.'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَدَخَلَ حَائِطًا لِلأَنْصَارِ فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ فَقَالَ لِي " يَا أَبَا مُوسَى أَمْلِكْ عَلَىَّ الْبَابَ فَلاَ يَدْخُلَنَّ عَلَىَّ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنٍ " . فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ يَضْرِبُ الْبَابَ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ . فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَسْتَأْذِنُ . قَالَ " ائْذَنْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ " . فَدَخَلَ وَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَضَرَبَ الْبَابَ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا فَقَالَ عُمَرُ . فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا عُمَرُ يَسْتَأْذِنُ . قَالَ " افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ " . فَفَتَحْتُ الْبَابَ وَدَخَلَ وَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَضَرَبَ الْبَابَ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا قَالَ عُثْمَانُ . فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا عُثْمَانُ يَسْتَأْذِنُ . قَالَ " افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ عَلَى بَلْوَى تُصِيبُهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ .

Sahih al-Bukhari 7354
Narrated Al-A'raj:
Abu Huraira said, "You people claim that Abu Huraira narrates many narrations of Allah's Apostle. (Anyhow) with Allah will be our appointment. I was a poor man, and used to stick to Allah's Apostle contented with what will fill my stomach, and the Muhajirin (emigrants) used to be busy trading in the markets, and the Ansar used to be busy looking after their properties. One-day I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Who will spread his Rida' (a garment covering the upper part of the body) till I finished my speech and then fold it, (i.e. wrap it over your body), in which case he will never forget anything he had heard from me." So I spread my garment which I was wearing; and by Him Who sent Muhammad with the Truth, ever since, I have never forgotten whatever I heard from him (the Prophet)" (See, Hadith No. 119, Vol. 1)
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنَ الأَعْرَجِ، يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يُكْثِرُ الْحَدِيثَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَاللَّهُ الْمَوْعِدُ، إِنِّي كُنْتُ امْرَأً مِسْكِينًا أَلْزَمُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى مِلْءِ بَطْنِي، وَكَانَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ يَشْغَلُهُمُ الصَّفْقُ بِالأَسْوَاقِ، وَكَانَتِ الأَنْصَارُ يَشْغَلُهُمُ الْقِيَامُ عَلَى أَمْوَالِهِمْ، فَشَهِدْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَقَالَ
" مَنْ يَبْسُطْ رِدَاءَهُ حَتَّى أَقْضِيَ مَقَالَتِي ثُمَّ يَقْبِضْهُ، فَلَنْ يَنْسَى شَيْئًا سَمِعَهُ مِنِّي ". فَبَسَطْتُ بُرْدَةً كَانَتْ عَلَىَّ، فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَهُ بِالْحَقِّ مَا نَسِيتُ شَيْئًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ.

Narrated Anas:
The Prophet halted to consummate his marriage with Safiyya. I invited the Muslims to his wedding banquet. He ordered that leather dining sheets be spread. Then dates, dried yoghurt and butter were put on those sheets. Anas added: The Prophet consummated his marriage with Safiyya (during a journey) whereupon Hais (sweet dish) was served on a leather dining sheet.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسًا، يَقُولُ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَبْنِي بِصَفِيَّةَ فَدَعَوْتُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَى وَلِيمَتِهِ أَمَرَ بِالأَنْطَاعِ فَبُسِطَتْ فَأُلْقِيَ عَلَيْهَا التَّمْرُ وَالأَقِطُ وَالسَّمْنُ. وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو عَنْ أَنَسٍ بَنَى بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَنَعَ حَيْسًا فِي نِطَعٍ.

Sunan an-Nasa'i 213
It was narrated from 'Aishah that a woman who suffered from Istihadah during the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was told that it was a stubborn vein (i.e., one that would not stop bleeding). She was told to delay Zuhr and bring 'Asr forward, and to perform one Ghusl for both, and to delay Maghrib and bring 'Isha' forward, and to perform one Ghusl for both, and to perform one Ghusl for Subh.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها أَنَّ امْرَأَةً، مُسْتَحَاضَةً عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قِيلَ لَهَا إِنَّهُ عِرْقٌ عَانِدٌ فَأُمِرَتْ أَنْ تُؤَخِّرَ الظُّهْرَ وَتُعَجِّلَ الْعَصْرَ وَتَغْتَسِلَ لَهُمَا غُسْلاً وَاحِدًا وَتُؤَخِّرَ الْمَغْرِبَ وَتُعَجِّلَ الْعِشَاءَ وَتَغْتَسِلَ لَهُمَا غُسْلاً وَاحِدًا وَتَغْتَسِلَ لِصَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ غُسْلاً وَاحِدًا .

It was narrated that Ziyad bin Ilaqah said:
"I heard Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah say: 'The Prophet (SAW) stood (in prayer at night) until his feet swelled up, and it was said to him: Allah has forgiven your past and future sins. He said: "Should I not be a thankful slave?'"

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'I saw that I was brought a cup of milk, so I drank from it, and I gave my leftover to 'Umar bin Al-Khattab.' They said: 'So what did you interpret it as O Messenger of Allah?' He said: '(It is) Knowledge.'"

It was narrated that Al-Aswad and 'Alqamah said:
"We entered upon 'Abdullah at midday and he said: 'There will be rulers who would be distracted from praying on time, so pray on time.' Then he stood up and prayed between him
and I, and said: 'This is what I saw the Messenger of Allah (saws) do."'

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) delayed 'Isha' until 'Umar called him and said: 'The women and children have gone to sleep.' Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) came out and said: 'There is no one who is offering this prayer but you.' And at that time no one used to pray except the people of Al-Madinah."
أَخْبَرَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ نَصْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أَعْتَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالْعِشَاءِ حَتَّى نَادَاهُ عُمَرُ رضى الله عنه نَامَ النِّسَاءُ وَالصِّبْيَانُ . فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ
" إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةَ غَيْرُكُمْ " . وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَحَدٌ يُصَلِّي غَيْرَ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ .

Hadith 22, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi
On the authority of Abu Abdullah Jabir bin Abdullah al-Ansaree (may Allah be pleased with him) that:
A man questioned the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, “Do you think that if I perform the obligatory prayers, fast in Ramadhan, treat as lawful that which is halal, and treat as forbidden that which is haram, and do not increase upon that [in voluntary good deeds], then I shall enter Paradise?” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, “Yes.”

عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: "أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم فَقَالَ: أَرَأَيْت إذَا صَلَّيْت الْمَكْتُوبَاتِ، وَصُمْت رَمَضَانَ، وَأَحْلَلْت الْحَلَالَ، وَحَرَّمْت الْحَرَامَ، وَلَمْ أَزِدْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا؛ أَأَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ".

Mishkat al-Masabih 1677
Wathila b. al-Asqa‘ said God’s messenger led them in prayer over a Muslim and he heard him say, “O God, so and so son of so and so is in Thy protection and in Thy nearer presence, so guard him from the trial in the grave and the punishment in hell. Thou art faithful and true. O God, forgive him and show him mercy. Thou art the forgiving and the merciful One.”
Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ فِي ذِمَّتِكَ وَحَبْلِ جِوَارِكَ فَقِهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ الْوَفَاءِ وَالْحَقِّ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْن مَاجَه

Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If one who is addicted to wine dies he will meet God most high in the same condition as an idolater.”
Ahmad transmitted it, Ibn Majah transmitted on Abu Huraira’s authority, and Baihaqi, in Shu'ab al-iman, gave it on the authority of Muhammad b. ‘Ubaidallah who quoted his father’s authority. He said that Bukhari in his Ta’rikh mentioned it on the authority of Muhammad b. ‘Abdallah who quoted his father's authority.

Jabir b. ‘Abdallah told that a man got up on the day of the Conquest and said, “Messenger of God, I have vowed to God who is great and glorious that if God conquers Mecca at your hands I shall pray two rak'as in Jerusalem.” He replied, “Pray here.” He repeated his statement to him and he replied, “Pray here.” He again repeated it to him and he replied, “Pursue your own course, then.”
Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it.
وَعَن جَابر بن عبد الله: أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَامَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُول الله لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِنْ فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ مَكَّةَ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَالَ: «صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم هَهُنَا» ثمَّ عَاد فَقَالَ: «صل هَهُنَا» ثُمَّ أَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: «شَأْنَكَ إِذًا» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد والدارمي
