It was narrated from Hudhaifah that:
The Prophet (SAW) recited Surat Al-Baqarah, Al 'Imran and An-Nisa' in one rak'ah, and he did not reach any verse that spoke of mercy but he asked Allah for it, nor any verse that spoke of punishment but he asked Allah for protection therefrom.

"The sun was eclipsed and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) bowed twice and prostrated twice, then he stood up and bowed twice and prostrated twice. Then the eclipse ended. 'Aishah used to say: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) never prostrated or bowed for so long as that.'"

It was narrated that 'Ata said:
"I was told that Umm Habibah bin Abi Sufyan said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: 'Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs during the day and night, apart from the prescribed prayers, Allah (SWT) will build for him a house in Paradise.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" مَنْ رَكَعَ ثِنْتَىْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً فِي يَوْمِهِ وَلَيْلَتِهِ سِوَى الْمَكْتُوبَةِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .

Narrated `Abdullah:
The Prophet said, "A Muslim has to listen to and obey (the order of his ruler) whether he likes it or not, as long as his orders involve not one in disobedience (to Allah), but if an act of disobedience (to Allah) is imposed one should not listen to it or obey it. (See Hadith No. 203, Vol. 4)

" السَّمْعُ وَالطَّاعَةُ عَلَى الْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ، فِيمَا أَحَبَّ وَكَرِهَ، مَا لَمْ يُؤْمَرْ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ، فَإِذَا أُمِرَ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ فَلاَ سَمْعَ وَلاَ طَاعَةَ ".

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Salama ibn Abdar-Rahman from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said "Whoever catches a raka of the prayer has caught the prayer."
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلاَةَ " .

Malik said, "Someone doing itikaf should not leave for his parents' funeral or for anything else."
وَحَدَّثَنِي زِيَادٌ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، . أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَذْهَبُ لِحَاجَةِ الإِنْسَانِ فِي الْبُيُوتِ . قَالَ مَالِكٌ لاَ يَخْرُجُ الْمُعْتَكِفُ مَعَ جَنَازَةِ أَبَوَيْهِ وَلاَ مَعَ غَيْرِهَا .

" خَمْسٌ فَوَاسِقُ يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحَرَمِ الْفَأْرَةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْحِدَأَةُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ " .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saw the corpse of a woman who had been slain in one of the raids, and he disapproved of it and forbade the killing of women and children.

‘There are no Ḥadīth on authority of Alī, may Allah be pleased with him, that are confirmed except from the companions of Abd Allah bin Mas’ūd.’

Narrated `Abbad bin Tamim:
from his uncle who said, "The Prophet went out to invoke Allah for rain. He faced the Qibla invoking Allah. He turned over his cloak (inside out) and then offered two rak`at and recited the Qur'an aloud in them."

It was narrated that Abdullah said:
"We were with the Messenger of Allah in Al-Khaif, which is in Mina, when the following was revealed: 'By the winds sent forth one after another.' A snake came out, and the Messenger of Allah said: 'Kill it.' So they rushed to kill, but it went back into its hole."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالْخَيْفِ مِنْ مِنًى حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ { وَالْمُرْسَلاَتِ عُرْفًا } فَخَرَجَتْ حَيَّةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اقْتُلُوهَا " . فَابْتَدَرْنَاهَا فَدَخَلَتْ فِي جُحْرِهَا .

"There are four whom Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, hates: The vendor who sells his wares by means of false oaths, the poor man who shows off, the old man who commits Zina and the Imam who is unjust."

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah came to her and said:
"Do you have any food?" and Aishah said: "O Messenger of Allah, we have been given some Hais." So he called for it, and said: "I started the day fasting," then he ate.
أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مَعْنٍ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَتَاهَا فَقَالَ " هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ طَعَامٌ " . فَقُلْتُ لاَ . قَالَ " إِنِّي صَائِمٌ " . ثُمَّ جَاءَ يَوْمًا آخَرَ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا قَدْ أُهْدِيَ لَنَا حَيْسٌ فَدَعَا بِهِ فَقَالَ " أَمَا إِنِّي قَدْ أَصْبَحْتُ صَائِمًا " . فَأَكَلَ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4196
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
"The Imam is like a shield whose orders should be obeyed when they (the Muslims) fight, and where they should seek protection. If he enjoins fear of Allah and behaves justly, then he will be rewarded, but if he enjoins otherwise, then it will be a burden (of sin) on him."

" إِنَّمَا الإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ فَإِنْ أَمَرَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَعَدَلَ فَإِنَّ لَهُ بِذَلِكَ أَجْرًا وَإِنْ أَمَرَ بِغَيْرِهِ فَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ وِزْرًا " .

" فَهَلاَّ قَبْلَ الآنَ " .

" إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ هَذَا الْخَاتَمَ وَإِنِّي لَنْ أَلْبَسَهُ أَبَدًا " . فَنَبَذَهُ فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ .

" أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الرَّبُّ مِنَ الْعَبْدِ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرِ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ فِي تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ فَكُنْ " . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

" أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا مَنَعُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلاَّ بِحَقِّهَا وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ دَيْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ كَانَ الْيَهُودُ يَتَعَاطَسُونَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَرْجُونَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُمْ يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللَّهُ . فَيَقُولُ
" يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَأَبِي أَيُّوبَ وَسَالِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

" أَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ تَنْشَقُّ عَنْهُ الأَرْضُ فَأُكْسَى الْحُلَّةَ مِنْ حُلَلِ الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ أَقُومُ عَنْ يَمِينِ الْعَرْشِ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْخَلاَئِقِ يَقُومُ ذَلِكَ الْمَقَامَ غَيْرِي " . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri:
"We captured some women on the Day of Awtas and they had husbands among their people. That was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) so Allah revealed: '...And women already married, except those whom your right hands possess... (4:24)'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ الْبَتِّيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَصَبْنَا سَبَايَا يَوْمَ أَوْطَاسٍ لَهُنَّ أَزْوَاجٌ فِي قَوْمِهِنَّ فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَنَزَلَتْ : (وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلاَّ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ) . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَهَكَذَا رَوَى الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الْبَتِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ وَلَيْسَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ أَحَدًا ذَكَرَ أَبَا عَلْقَمَةَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ إِلاَّ مَا ذَكَرَ هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَأَبُو الْخَلِيلِ اسْمُهُ صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ .

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Allah accepts a slave's repentance as long as the latter is not on his death bed (that is, before the soul of the dying person reaches the throat)".

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"I remember lying in front of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was praying. When he wanted to prostrate he would nudge my foot and I would draw it up (out of the way) until he had finished prostrating."

"I was in front of the Messenger of Allah (saws) when he was praying, and when I wanted to leave I did not want to get up and pass in front of him, so I just slipped away slowly and quietly."

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"Umm Habibah bint Jahsh suffered Istihadah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding) for seven years. She complained about that to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: 'That is not menstruation; rather that is (bleeding from) a vein, so perform Ghusl then pray.'"

It was narrated from 'Aishah that Umm Habibah asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) about bleeding. 'Aishah said:
"I saw her wash tub filled with blood." The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to her: "Stop (praying) for as long as your period used to last, then perform Ghusl."

" امْكُثِي قَدْرَ مَا كَانَتْ تَحْبِسُكِ حِيضَتُكِ ثُمَّ اغْتَسِلِي " .
وَأَخْبَرَنَا بِهِ قُتَيْبَةُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ.

" الصَّلاَةُ فِيهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلاَةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ إِلاَّ مَسْجِدَ الْكَعْبَةِ " .

Narrated Wa'il ibn Hujr:
I offered prayer along with the Prophet (saws). He would give the salutation to his right side (saying): Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings; and to his left side (saying): Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah.

I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) forbidding Muzabana, and Huqul. Jabir b. Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) said: Muzabana means the selling of fruits for dry dates and Huqul is the renting of land.

Aishah narrated:
"The Quraish and those who followed their religion - and they were called Al-Hums - would stand at Al-Muzdalifah, and they would say: 'We are the people of Allah.' The others would stand at Arafat, so Allah the Mighty and Sublime revealed: Then depart from where the people depart."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَتْ قُرَيْشٌ وَمَنْ كَانَ عَلَى دِينِهَا وَهُمُ الْحُمْسُ يَقِفُونَ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ قَطِينُ اللَّهِ . وَكَانَ مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ يَقِفُونَ بِعَرَفَةَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : (ثُمَّ أَفِيضُوا مِنْ حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ النَّاسُ ) . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . قَالَ وَمَعْنَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنَّ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ كَانُوا لاَ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْحَرَمِ وَعَرَفَةُ خَارِجٌ مِنَ الْحَرَمِ وَأَهْلُ مَكَّةَ كَانُوا يَقِفُونَ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ وَيَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ قَطِينُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي سُكَّانَ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ سِوَى أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ كَانُوا يَقِفُونَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ . فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: (ثُمَّ أَفِيضُوا مِنْ حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ النَّاسُ ) . وَالْحُمْسُ هُمْ أَهْلُ الْحَرَمِ .

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.A.W) said:
"The gates of Paradise are opened on Monday and Thursday. In them, (will enter) whoever has not associated anything with Allah will be forgiven, except for the two who shun each other, (about whom) it is said: 'Return these two until they make amends."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " تُفَتَّحُ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الاِثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ فَيُغْفَرُ فِيهِمَا لِمَنْ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِلاَّ الْمُهْتَجِرَيْنِ يُقَالُ رُدُّوا هَذَيْنِ حَتَّى يَصْطَلِحَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَيُرْوَى فِي بَعْضِ الْحَدِيثِ " ذَرُوا هَذَيْنِ حَتَّى يَصْطَلِحَا " . قَالَ وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ " الْمُهْتَجِرَيْنِ " . يَعْنِي الْمُتَصَارِمَيْنِ . - وَهَذَا مِثْلُ مَا رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ " لاَ يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ " .

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as say- ing. When you listen to the crowing of the cock, ask Allah for His favour as it sees Angels and when you listen to the braying of the donkey, seek refuge in Allah from the Satan for it sees Satan.
حَدَّثَنِي قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي،
هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ صِيَاحَ الدِّيَكَةِ فَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ
فَضْلِهِ فَإِنَّهَا رَأَتْ مَلَكًا وَإِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ نَهِيقَ الْحِمَارِ فَتَعَوَّذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِنَّهَا رَأَتْ
شَيْطَانًا " .

أَنْ تَرَى قَوْمًا يَغْدُونَ فِي سَخَطِ اللَّهِ وَيَرُوحُونَ فِي لَعْنَتِهِ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ مِثْلُ أَذْنَابِ الْبَقَرِ "

It is narrated from Bilal that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) wiped over the socks and turban, and in the hadith transmitted by 'Isa b. Yaunus the words are:
" Bilal narrated it to me."
This tradition is transmitted by A'mash with this addition;, I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)."

Narrated Anas:
The Prophet was asked about the great sins He said, "They are:-- (1 ) To join others in worship with Allah, (2) To be undutiful to one's parents. (3) To kill a person (which Allah has forbidden to kill) (i.e. to commit the crime of murdering). (4) And to give a false witness."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُنِيرٍ، سَمِعَ وَهْبَ بْنَ جَرِيرٍ، وَعَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْكَبَائِرِ قَالَ
" الإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ، وَقَتْلُ النَّفْسِ، وَشَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ ". تَابَعَهُ غُنْدَرٌ وَأَبُو عَامِرٍ وَبَهْزٌ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ.

`Abd Allah (b. Mas`ud) reported the Apostle of Allah (saws) as saying:
Whom do you consider a wrestler among you? The people replied: (the man) whom the men cannot defeat in wrestling. He said: No, it is he who controls himself when he is angry.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying:
Allah likes sneezing but dislikes yawning. So when one of you yawns, he should restrain it as much as possible, and should not say Ha, Ha, for that is from the devil who laughs at him.

" إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرُدَّهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ وَلاَ يَقُلْ هَاهْ هَاهْ فَإِنَّمَا ذَلِكُمْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ يَضْحَكُ مِنْهُ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3940
'Abd Allah b. 'Umar reported the Messenger of Allah (saws) as saying:
If anyone emancipates his share in slave, a fair price for the slave should be fixed, give his partners their shares, and the slave be thus emancipated. Otherwise he is emancipated to the extent of the share which he emancipated.
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ الْعَدْلِ فَأَعْطَى شُرَكَاءَهُ حِصَصَهُمْ وَأُعْتِقَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ وَإِلاَّ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ " . .

Mujahid said:
Ibn 'Umar was asked: How many times did the Messenger of Allah (saws) perform 'Umrah ? He said: Twice. 'Aishah said: Ibn 'Umar knew that the Messenger of Allah (saws) performed three 'Umrahs in addition to the one he combined with the Farewell Pilgrimage.
حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ سُئِلَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ كَمِ اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ مَرَّتَيْنِ . فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ لَقَدْ عَلِمَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدِ اعْتَمَرَ ثَلاَثًا سِوَى الَّتِي قَرَنَهَا بِحَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3404
Narrated Jabir b. 'Abd Allah :
The Messenger of Allah (saws) forbade muhaqalah, muzabanah, mukhabarah, and mu'awanah. One of the two narrators from Hammad said the word mu'awamah, and other said: "selling many years ahead". The agreed version then goes: and thunya, but gave license for 'araya.

when a servant (of Allah) prostrates himself, the seven limbs, i.e, his face, his palms, his knees and his feet prostrate along with him.

Sunan Abi Dawud 1104
'Umarah b. Ruwaibah said that he saw Bishr b. Marwan (on the pulpit) praying on Friday (by raising his hands). 'Umarah said:
May Allah reject these hands! I have seen the Messenger of Allah (saws) on the pulpit gesturing no more than this pointing with his forefinger.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ رَأَى عُمَارَةُ بْنُ رُؤَيْبَةَ بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ وَهُوَ يَدْعُو فِي يَوْمِ جُمُعَةٍ فَقَالَ عُمَارَةُ قَبَّحَ اللَّهُ هَاتَيْنِ الْيَدَيْنِ . قَالَ زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حُصَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ مَا يَزِيدُ عَلَى هَذِهِ يَعْنِي السَّبَّابَةَ الَّتِي تَلِي الإِبْهَامَ .

Sahih Muslim 28 a
It is narrated on the authority of Ubadah b. Samit that the messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) observed:
He who said:" There is no god but Allah, He is One and there is no associate with Him, that Muhammad is his servant and His messenger, that Christ is servant and the son of His slave-girl and he (Christ) His word which He communicated to Mary and is His Spirit, that Paradise is a fact and Hell is a fact," Allah would make him (he who affirms these truths enter Paradise through any one of its eight doors which he would like.

" مَنْ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَأَنَّ عِيسَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَابْنُ أَمَتِهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِنْهُ وَأَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ حَقٌّ وَأَنَّ النَّارَ حَقٌّ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَىِّ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ الثَّمَانِيَةِ شَاءَ " .

Sa'd b. Abu Waqqas reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: If anyone says on hearing the Mu'adhdhin: I testify that there is no god but Allah alone. Who has no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, (and that) I am satisfied with Allah as my Lord, with Muhammad as Messenger. and with Islam as din (code of life), his sins would be forgiven. In the narration transmitted by Ibn Rumh the words are:" He who said on hearing the Mu'adhdhin and verity I testify." ' Qutaiba has not mentioned his words:" And I."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ الْحُكَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنِ الْحُكَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ " مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَسْمَعُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولاً وَبِالإِسْلاَمِ دِينًا . غُفِرَ لَهُ ذَنْبُهُ " . قَالَ ابْنُ رُمْحٍ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ " مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَسْمَعُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ " . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قُتَيْبَةُ قَوْلَهُ وَأَنَا .

Narrated Anas ibn Malik:
I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (saws) and a man was offering prayer. He then made supplication: O Allah, I ask Thee by virtue of the fact that praise is due to Thee, there is no deity but Thou, Who showest favour and beneficence, the Originator of the Heavens and the earth, O Lord of Majesty and Splendour, O Living One, O Eternal One.
The Prophet (saws) then said: He has supplicated Allah using His Greatest Name, when supplicated by this name, He answers, and when asked by this name He gives.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَلَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ حَفْصٍ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَخِي أَنَسٍ - عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَالِسًا وَرَجُلٌ يُصَلِّي ثُمَّ دَعَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ الْمَنَّانُ بَدِيعُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ يَا حَىُّ يَا قَيُّومُ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" لَقَدْ دَعَا اللَّهَ بِاسْمِهِ الْعَظِيمِ الَّذِي إِذَا دُعِيَ بِهِ أَجَابَ وَإِذَا سُئِلَ بِهِ أَعْطَى " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1898
Narrated AbdurRahman ibn Safwan:
When the Messenger of Allah (saws) conquered Mecca, I said (to myself): I shall put on my clothes, and my house lay on the way, I shall watch how the Messenger of Allah (saws) behaves. So I went out. I saw that the Prophet (saws) and his Companions had come out from the Ka'bah and embraced the House (the Ka'bah) from its entrance (al-Bab) to al-Hatim. They placed their cheek on the House (the Ka'bah) while the Messenger of Allah (saws) was amongst them.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ، قَالَ لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَكَّةَ قُلْتُ لأَلْبَسَنَّ ثِيَابِي - وَكَانَتْ دَارِي عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ - فَلأَنْظُرَنَّ كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَانْطَلَقْتُ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَةِ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ وَقَدِ اسْتَلَمُوا الْبَيْتَ مِنَ الْبَابِ إِلَى الْحَطِيمِ وَقَدْ وَضَعُوا خُدُودَهُمْ عَلَى الْبَيْتِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَسْطَهُمْ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1950
Narrated Urwah ibn Mudarris at-Ta'i:
I came to the Messenger of Allah (saws) at the place of halting, that is, al-Muzdalifah. I said: I have come from the mountains of Tayy. I fatigued my mount and fatigued myself. By Allah, I found no hill (on my way) but I halted there. Have I completed my hajj? The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: Anyone who offers this prayer along with us and comes over to Arafat before it by night or day will complete his hajj and he may wash away the dirt (of his body).
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ مُضَرِّسٍ الطَّائِيُّ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالْمَوْقِفِ - يَعْنِي بِجَمْعٍ قُلْتُ جِئْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ طَيِّئٍ أَكْلَلْتُ مَطِيَّتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَاللَّهِ مَا تَرَكْتُ مِنْ جَبَلٍ إِلاَّ وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مَعَنَا هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةَ وَأَتَى عَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ لَيْلاً أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3002
Narrated Muhayyisah:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill them. So Muhayyisah jumped over Shubaybah, a man of the Jewish merchants. He had close relations with them. He then killed him. At that time Huwayyisah (brother of Muhayyisah) had not embraced Islam. He was older than Muhayyisah. When he killed him, Huwayyisah beat him and said: O enemy of Allah, I swear by Allah, you have a good deal of fat in your belly from his property.
حَدَّثَنَا مُصَرِّفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، قَالَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلًى، لِزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ حَدَّثَتْنِي ابْنَةُ مُحَيِّصَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهَا، مُحَيِّصَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ ظَفِرْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْ رِجَالِ يَهُودَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ " . فَوَثَبَ مُحَيِّصَةُ عَلَى شَبِيبَةَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ تُجَّارِ يَهُودَ كَانَ يُلاَبِسُهُمْ فَقَتَلَهُ وَكَانَ حُوَيِّصَةُ إِذْ ذَاكَ لَمْ يُسْلِمْ وَكَانَ أَسَنَّ مِنْ مُحَيِّصَةَ فَلَمَّا قَتَلَهُ جَعَلَ حُوَيِّصَةُ يَضْرِبُهُ وَيَقُولُ يَا عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَرُبَّ شَحْمٍ فِي بَطْنِكَ مِنْ مَالِهِ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3565
Narrated AbuUmamah:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) Said: Allah , Most Exalted, has appointed for everyone who has a right what is due to him, and no will be made to an heir, and a woman should not spend anything from her house except with the permission of her husband. He was asked: Even foodgrain, Messenger of Allah? He replied: That is the best of our property. He then said: A loan must be paid back, a she-camel lent for a time for milking must be returned, a debt must be discharged, one who stands surety is held responsible.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ أَعْطَى كُلَّ ذِي حَقٍّ حَقَّهُ فَلاَ وَصِيَّةَ لِوَارِثٍ وَلاَ تُنْفِقُ الْمَرْأَةُ شَيْئًا مِنْ بَيْتِهَا إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ زَوْجِهَا " . فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلاَ الطَّعَامَ قَالَ " ذَاكَ أَفْضَلُ أَمْوَالِنَا " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " الْعَارِيَةُ مُؤَدَّاةٌ وَالْمِنْحَةُ مَرْدُودَةٌ وَالدَّيْنُ مَقْضِيٌّ وَالزَّعِيمُ غَارِمٌ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4495
Narrated AbuRimthah:
I went to the Prophet (saws) with my father. The Messenger of Allah (saws) then asked my father: Is this your son? He replied: Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah. He again said: Is it true? He said: I bear witness to it. The Messenger of Allah (saws) then smiled for my resemblance with my father, and for the fact that my father took an oath upon me. He then said: He will not bring evil on you, nor will you bring evil on him. The Messenger of Allah (saws) recited the verse: "No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِيَادٍ - حَدَّثَنَا إِيَادٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ، قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ أَبِي نَحْوَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لأَبِي " ابْنُكَ هَذَا " . قَالَ إِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَ " حَقًّا " . قَالَ أَشْهَدُ بِهِ . قَالَ فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ضَاحِكًا مِنْ ثَبْتِ شَبَهِي فِي أَبِي وَمِنْ حَلْفِ أَبِي عَلَىَّ . ثُمَّ قَالَ " أَمَا إِنَّهُ لاَ يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ وَلاَ تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ " . وَقَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم { وَلاَ تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى }

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 52
Abu Hurayra said, "A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, and said, 'Messenger of Allah! I have relatives with whom
I maintain ties while they cut me off. I am good to them while they are bad
to me. They behave foolishly towards me while I am forbearing towards them.'
The Prophet said, 'If things are as you said, it is as if you were putting
hot ashes on them and you will not lack a supporter against them from Allah
as long as you continue to do that.'"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ لِي قَرَابَةً أَصِلُهُمْ وَيَقْطَعُونَ، وَأُحْسِنُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَيُسِيئُونَ إِلَيَّ، وَيَجْهَلُونَ عَلَيَّ وَأَحْلُمُ عَنْهُمْ، قَالَ: لَئِنْ كَانَ كَمَا تَقُولُ كَأَنَّمَا تُسِفُّهُمُ الْمَلَّ، وَلاَ يَزَالُ مَعَكَ مِنَ اللهِ ظَهِيرٌ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا دُمْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 93
An-Nu'man ibn Bashir said that his father had carried him to the Messenger
of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said, 'Messenger of
Allah, I testify to you that I have given an-Nu'man such-and-such. (It was
a slave). The Prophet asked, "Have you given each of your children the same"?"
"No," he replied. He said, "Then testify to someone other than me." Then
the Prophet asked, "Do you not want to show equal kindness to all of them?"
"Indeed I do," he replied. He said, "Then do not do it."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الْقُرَشِيُّ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ انْطَلَقَ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَحْمِلُهُ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ أَنِّي قَدْ نَحَلْتُ النُّعْمَانَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، فَقَالَ: أَكُلَّ وَلَدَكَ نَحَلْتَ؟ قَالَ: لاَ، قَالَ: فَأَشْهِدْ غَيْرِي، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَلَيْسَ يَسُرُّكَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا فِي الْبِرِّ سَوَاءً؟ قَالَ: بَلَى، قَالَ: فَلاَ إِذًا.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 227
Abu Dharr reported that it was said, "Messenger of Allah, the wealthy
people have taken all the rewards. They pray as we pray. They fast as we
fast, but they give sadaqa from their excess wealth." He said, "Has Allah
not given you something to give as sadaqa? Every time you praise or glorify
Allah, that is sadaqa. There is sadaqa is sexual intercourse." He was asked,
"Is there sadaqa in satisfying one's appetite?" He replied, "If he does
it in a haram manner, is that not a wrong action? Similarly if he does
it in a halal manner, he receives a reward."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ وَاصِلٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَُرَ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ذَهَبَ أَهْلُ الدُّثُورِ بِالأُجُورِ، يُصَلُّونَ كَمَا نُصَلِّي، وَيَصُومُونَ كَمَا نَصُومُ، وَيَتَصَدَّقُونَ بِفُضُولِ أَمْوَالِهِمْ، قَالَ: أَلَيْسَ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ مَا تَصَدَّقُونَ؟ إِنَّ بِكُلِّ تَسْبِيحَةٍ وَتَحْمِيدَةٍ صَدَقَةً، وَبُضْعُ أَحَدِكُمْ صَدَقَةٌ، قِيلَ: فِي شَهْوَتِهِ صَدَقَةٌ؟ قَالَ: لَوْ وُضِعَ فِي الْحَرَامِ، أَلَيْسَ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ وِزْرٌ؟ ذَلِكَ إِنْ وَضَعَهَا فِي الْحَلاَلِ كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرٌ.

Abu Hurayra said, "A man from the Banu Fazara gave a camel tot
he Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he gave him something
in exchange for it. That angered the man and I heard the Prophet, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace, state on the minbar, 'One of you gives a
gift and when I give him something in exchange he becomes angry. By Allah,
after this year, I will never accept a gift from any Arab except for Quraysh,
the Ansar, a Thaqifi or a Dawsi!'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: أَهْدَى رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي فَزَارَةَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَاقَةً، فَعَوَّضَهُ، فَتَسَخَّطَهُ، فَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ: يَهْدِي أَحَدُهُمْ فَأُعَوِّضُهُ بِقَدْرِ مَا عِنْدِي، ثُمَّ يَسْخَطُهُ وَايْمُ اللهِ، لاَ أَقْبَلُ بَعْدَ عَامِي هَذَا مِنَ الْعَرَبِ هَدِيَّةً إِلاَّ مِنْ قُرَشِيٍّ، أَوْ أَنْصَارِيٍّ، أَوْ ثَقَفِيٍّ، أَوْ دَوْسِيٍّ.

Mu'adh ibn Jabal said, "The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, took my hand and then said, "Mu'adh!' 'At your service!' I said.
He said, 'I love you.' I replied, 'And, by Allah, I love you.' He asked,
'Shall I teach you some words to say at the end of your prayer?' 'Yes,'
I replied. He said, 'Say:
"O Allah, help me to remember You and thank You
and help me to the best manner of worshipping You."'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ حَيْوَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيّ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ: أَخَذَ بِيَدِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ: يَا مُعَاذُ، قُلْتُ: لَبَّيْكَ، قَالَ: إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ، قُلْتُ: وَأَنَا وَاللَّهِ أُحِبُّكَ، قَالَ: أَلاَ أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَاتٍ تَقُولُهَا فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلاَتِكَ؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: قُلِ: اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ، وَشُكْرِكَ، وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 833
Jabir reported:
"The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him
peace, said, 'If I will, I will prohibit my community, if Allah so wills,
from any of them taking the name Baraka (blessing), Nafi' (Helper) or Aflah
(Most Successful),' and I do not know if he said, Rafi' (one who elevates)
or not. Someone asks, 'Is Baraka (blessing) here?' and is told, 'He (or
it) is not here.' The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
died because he could forbid that (using those names)."
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِنْ عِشْتُ نَهَيْتُ أُمَّتِي، إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ، أَنْ يُسَمِّي أَحَدُهُمْ بَرَكَةَ، وَنَافِعًا، وَأَفْلَحَ، وَلاَ أَدْرِي قَالَ: رَافِعًا أَمْ لاَ؟، يُقَالُ: هَا هُنَا بَرَكَةُ؟ فَيُقَالُ: لَيْسَ هَا هُنَا، فَقُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ.
