Mishkat al-Masabih 1039
Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s Messenger as saying, “None of you must choose for himself and pray at the rising or setting of the sun.” In a version he said, “When the rim of the sun rises leave off prayer till it comes right up, when the rim of the sun goes below the horizon leave off prayer till it has set, and do not make the rising or setting of the sun your time of prayer, for it rises between the horns of the devil.”

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّيَ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا»
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ قَالَ: «إِذَا طَلَعَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فدعوا الصَّلَاة حَتَّى تبرز. فَإِذا غَابَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَدَعُوا الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ وَلَا تَحَيَّنُوا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تطلع بَين قَرْني الشَّيْطَان»

Abu Huraira reported God's Messenger as saying, “If anyone prays six rak'as after the sunset prayer, not saying anything evil during them, they will be treated for him as equivalent to twelve years’ worship.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying, “This is a gharib tradition which I know only from the traditions of ‘Umar b. Abu Khath'am; and I heard Muhammad b. Isma'il (i.e. Bukhari) say that his traditions are rejected. He declared him to be very weak.”
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ لَمْ يَتَكَلَّمْ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ بِسُوءٍ عُدِلْنَ لَهُ بِعِبَادَةِ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عمر بن أَبِي خَثْعَمٍ وَسَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَقُولُ: هُوَ مُنكر الحَدِيث وَضَعفه جدا

Mishkat al-Masabih 2765
Aba Juhaifa said that the Prophet forbade the price paid for blood1, the price paid for a dog, and the earnings of a prostitute, and cursed him who accepted and him who paid usury, him who tattooed and him who had himself tattooed, and the sculptor2.
Bukhari transmitted it.
1. This refers to the blood of an animal.
2. Musawwir. The meaning is more comprehensive than any English word. It also means “painter”, or anyone who produces representations of living beings.

Mishkat al-Masabih 2812
‘Umar reported God's Messenger as saying, "Gold for gold is usury unless both hand over on the spot*; silver for silver is usury unless both hand over on the spot; wheat for wheat is usury unless both hand over on the spot; barley for barley is usury unless both hand over on the spot; dates for dates is usury unless both hand over on the spot."

She told that God’s Messenger said to her, “I know when you are pleased with me and when you are angry with me.” She asked how he knew that and he replied that when she was pleased with him she said, ‘'No, by Muhammad’s Lord,” but when she was angry with him she said, “No, by Abraham's Lord.” She then said, “I swear by God, Messenger of God, that that is so; it is only your name that I omit.”

وَعَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنِّي لأعْلم إِذا كنت عني راضية وَإِذا كنت عني غَضْبَى» فَقُلْتُ: مِنْ أَيْنَ تَعْرِفُ ذَلِكَ؟ فَقَالَ:

Mishkat al-Masabih 3313
She said:
One day God's Messenger visited me looking pleased and asked if I was not surprised to hear that Mujazziz al-Mudlijl1 had entered, and seeing Usama and Zaid2 with a rug over them covering their heads and letting their feet appear, said, “These feet are related.”

1. Members of the tribe of Mudlij were said to have a reputation for being able to trace relationship from physical features.
2. Usama was Zaid's son.
وَعَنْهَا قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَهُوَ مَسْرُورٌ فَقَالَ:
" أَيْ عَائِشَةُ أَلَمْ تَرَيْ أَنَّ مُجَزِّزًا الْمُدْلِجِيَّ دَخَلَ فَلَمَّا رَأَى أُسَامَةَ وَزَيْدًا وَعَلَيْهِمَا قطيفةٌ قد غطيَّا رؤوسَهُما وَبَدَتْ أَقْدَامُهُمَا فَقَالَ: إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْأَقْدَامَ بَعْضُهَا من بعضٍ "

Abu Dharr reported God’s Messenger as saying, “God has put your brethren under your authority, so he who has his brother put under his authority by God must feed him from what he eats, clothe him from what he wears, and not impose on him work which is too much for him, but if he does so he must help him with it.”

وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِخْوَانُكُمْ جَعَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ تَحْتَ أَيْدِيكُمْ فَمَنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ أَخَاهُ تَحْتَ يَدَيْهِ فَلْيُطْعِمْهُ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ وَلْيُلْبِسْهُ مِمَّا يَلْبَسُ وَلَا يُكَلِّفْهُ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا يَغْلِبُهُ فَإِنْ كَلَّفَهُ مَا يَغْلِبُهُ فَلْيُعِنْهُ عَلَيْهِ»

Mishkat al-Masabih 3461
Abu Juhaifa said he asked ‘Ali whether he had any instruction not contained in the Qur’an and he replied, “By Him who split the seed and created the soul, I have nothing but what is in the Qur’an, except understanding which a man is given regarding His Book and what is in the document.” He asked him what the document contained, and he replied, “Blood wit, the setting free of a prisoner, and that a Muslim should not be killed for an infidel.”
Bukhari transmitted it.
وَعَن أبي جُحيفةَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ لَيْسَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ؟ فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي فَلَقَ الْحَبَّةَ وَبَرَأَ النَّسَمَةَ مَا عِنْدَنَا إِلَّا مَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ إِلَّا فَهْمًا يُعْطَى رَجُلٌ فِي كِتَابِهِ وَمَا فِي الصَّحِيفَةِ قُلْتُ: وَمَا فِي الصَّحِيفَةِ؟ قَالَ: الْعَقْلُ وَفِكَاكُ الْأَسِيرِ وَأَنْ لَا يُقْتَلَ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ.

Bulugh al-Maram 7
A man who accompanied the prophet (saw) narrated:
Allah’s Messenger (saw) forbade a women to bathe with the water left over by a man and that a man should not bathe with the water left over by a woman (but instead) they should both take scoopfuls of the water together. [Reported by Abu Da’ud and An-Nasa’i and its chain of narrators is Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ صَحِبَ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { نَهَى رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -"أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ اَلْمَرْأَةُ بِفَضْلِ اَلرَّجُلِ, أَوْ اَلرَّجُلُ بِفَضْلِ اَلْمَرْأَةِ, وَلْيَغْتَرِفَا جَمِيعًا } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ. وَالنَّسَائِيُّ, وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَحِيحٌ 1 .

Umm Salamah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “When a slave of one of your women has made an agreement to pay for his freedom (i.e. he is a Mukatib) and can pay the full price, she must veil herself from him.” Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. At-Tirmidhi graded it as Sahih.
وَعَنْ أَُمِّ سَلَمَةَ -رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا- قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ إِذَا كَانَ لِإِحْدَاكُنَّ مُكَاتَبٌ, وَكَانَ عِنْدَهُ مَا يُؤَدِّي, فَلْتَحْتَجِبْ مِنْهُ } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَة ُ 1 وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيّ ُ 2 .

Bulugh al-Maram 1420
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) said to a man, "Do you see the sun?" He replied, "Yes." He said, "Give witness in a similar case [which is as clear as the sun], or leave it."
[Ibn 'Adi reported it with a Da'if (weak) chain or narrators, and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic), but he was mistaken].
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا; { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ: "تَرَى اَلشَّمْسَ ?" قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: "عَلَى مِثْلِهَا فَاشْهَدْ, أَوْ دَعْ" } أَخْرَجَهُ اِبْنُ عَدِيٍّ بِإِسْنَادٍ ضَعِيفٍ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ فَأَخْطَأ َ 1 .

Narrated Jubair bin Mut'im (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "O descendants of 'Abd Manaf! You must not prevent anyone who goes round this House (Ka'bah) and prays (here) at any hour of the night or day that he wishes."
[Reported by al-Khamsah, at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ, لَا تَمْنَعُوا أَحَدًا طَافَ بِهَذَا اَلْبَيْتِ وَصَلَّى أَيَّةَ سَاعَةٍ شَاءَ مِنْ لَيْلٍ]أَ] وْ نَهَارٍ } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

Narrated Sa'd (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) supplicated (Allah) for rain saying, "O Allah, cover all the land with accumulated, thundering, plunging and lightening clouds from which You would send us down a showery, drizzly, and pouring rain. O Possessor of Glory and Honour."
[Reported by Abu 'Awanah in his Sahih].
وَعَنْ سَعْدٍ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -دَعَا فِي اَلِاسْتِسْقَاءِ: { اَللَّهُمَّ جَلِّلْنَا سَحَابًا, كَثِيفًا, قَصِيفًا, دَلُوقًا, ضَحُوكًا, تُمْطِرُنَا مِنْهُ رَذَاذًا, قِطْقِطًا, سَجْلًا, يَا ذَا اَلْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ } رَوَاهُ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ فِي
"صَحِيحِهِ" 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 3560
Abu Huraira told of a man who came to the Prophet when he was in the mosque and called to him, “Messenger of God, I have committed fornication ” The Prophet turned away from him, so the man came round facing him and said, “I have committed fornication,” but the Prophet turned away. Then when he had testified four times the Prophet called him and said, “Are you mad?” When he replied that he was not he asked him if he was married, and when he replied that he was, God’s Messenger said, “Take him away and stone him to death.” Ibn Shihab said:
I was informed by one who heard Jabir b. ‘Abdallah say, “Then we stoned him in Medina, but when the stones hurt him he ran away, and we caught up on him in the harra and stoned him to death.” In aversion by Bukhari on Jabir’s authority, after “he replied that he was” it says that he gave command regarding him and he was stoned in the place of prayer. Then when the stones hurt him he fled, but was overtaken and stoned to death. The Prophet then spoke well of him and prayed over him.

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: أَتَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَنَادَاهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَنَحَّى لِشِقِّ وَجْهِهِ الَّذِي أَعْرَضَ قِبَلَهُ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَّا شَهِدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ دَعَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «أَبِكَ جُنُونٌ؟» قَالَ: لَا فَقَالَ: «أُحْصِنْتَ؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ: «اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَارْجُمُوهُ» قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: فَأَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: فَرَجَمْنَاهُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَلَمَّا أَذْلَقَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ هَرَبَ حَتَّى أَدْرَكْنَاهُ بِالْحَرَّةِ فرجمناه حَتَّى مَاتَ

Abu Sufyan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported, in course of his detailed narration about Heraclius when the latter questioned him about the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) He said that:
He (PBUH) told (us): "Worship Allah Alone and do not associate a thing with Him; and give up all that your ancestors said. "He also commands us to perform Salat (prayers), to speak the truth, to observe modesty and to strengthen the ties of kinship.

الثالث: عن أبي سفيان صخر بن حرب ، رضي الله عنه، في حديثه الطويل في قصة هرقل، قال هرقل: فماذا يأمركم -يعنى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال أبو سفيان: قلت :يقول :
" اعبدوا الله وحده لا تشركوا به شيئاً، واتركوا ما يقول آباؤكم ، ويأمرنا بالصلاة، والصدق، والعفاف، والصلة" ((متفق عليه)) .

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
While the Prophet (PBUH) was delivering Khutbah (religious talk), he noticed a man who was standing, so he asked about him and was told that he was Abu Israel who had taken a vow to remain standing and not sit, or go into the shade, or speak while observing fasting. Thereupon Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Tell him to speak, to go into the shade, to sit and to complete his fast".

- وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: بينما النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يخطب إذا هو برجل قائم، فسأل عنه فقالوا: أبو إسرائيل نذر أن يقوم في الشمس ولا يقعد، ولا يستظل ولا يتكلم، ويصوم، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Do not ask me unnecessarily about the details of the things which I do not mention to you. Verily, the people before you were doomed because they were used to putting many questions to their Prophets and had differences about their Prophets. Refrain from what I forbid you and do what I command you to the best of your ability and capacity".

فالأول : عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
"دعوني ماتركتكم: إنما أهلك من كان قبلكم كثرة سؤالهم ، واختلافهم على أنبيائهم، فإذا نهيتكم عن شيء فاجتنبوه، وإذا أمرتكم بأمر فأتوا منه ما استطعتم" ((متفق عليه)).

'Abis bin Rabi'ah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I saw 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) kissing the Black Stone (Al-Hajar Al-Aswad) and saying: "I know that you are just a stone and that you can neither do any harm nor give benefit. Had I not seen Messenger of Allah (PBUH) kissing you, I would not have kissed you".

وعن عابس بن ربيعة قال: رأيت عمر بن الخطاب ، رضي الله عنه ، يقبل الحجر -يعنى الأسود- ويقول:إني أعلم أنك حجر ما تنفع ولا تضر، ولولا أني رأيت رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقبلك ما قبلتك. ((متفق عليه)) .

'Ubadah bin As-Samit (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
We swore allegiance to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to hear and obey; in time of difficulty and in prosperity, in hardship and in ease, to endure being discriminated against and not to dispute about rule with those in power, except in case of evident infidelity regarding which there is a proof from Allah. الثالث: عن أبي الوليد عبادة بن الصامت رضي الله عنه قال: “بايعنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم على السمع والطاعة في العسر واليسر والمنشط والمكره، وعلى أثرةٍ علينا، وعلى أن لا ننازع الأمر أهله إلا أن تروا كفرًا بواحًا عندكم من الله تعالى فيه برهان ، وعلى أن نقول بالحق أينما كنا لا نخاف في الله لومة لائم" ((متفق عليه)) .
المنشط والمكره بفتح ميميهما: أي: في السهل والصعب. والأثرة : الاختصاص بالمشترك، وقد سبق بيانها. بواحًا بفتح الباء الموحدة بعدها واو ثم ألف ثم حاء مهملة: أي ظاهر لا يحتمل تأويلا.

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Beware of sitting on roads (ways)." The people said: "We have but them as sitting places." Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "If you have to sit there, then observe the rights of the way". They asked, "What are the rights of the way?" He (PBUH) said, "To lower your gaze (on seeing what is illegal to look at), and (removal of harmful objects), returning greetings, enjoining good and forbidding wrong".

السابع: عن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "إياكم والجلوس في الطرقات" فقالوا : يا رسول الله ما لنا من مجالسنا بد؛ نتحدث فيها! فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "فإذا أبيتم إلا المجلس فأعطوا الطريق حقه" قالوا: وما حق الطريق يا رسول الله؟ قال: "غض البصر وكف الأذى ورد السلام، والأمر بالمعروف ، والنهي عن المنكر" ((متفق عليه)) .
