Chapter: The One Who Fights In The Cause Of Allah, Intending Only To Get An 'Iqal 1
(23)
باب مَنْ غَزَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَمْ يَنْوِ مِنْ غَزَاتِهِ إِلاَّ عِقَالاً .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 3139
It was narrated from 'Ubadah bin As-Samit that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever fights seeking only an 'Iqbal, then he will have what he intended."
أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ غَزَا وَهُوَ لاَ يُرِيدُ إِلاَّ عِقَالاً فَلَهُ مَا نَوَى " .
