The Book of Zakat
(50)
Chapter: Zakat is forbidden for the messenger of Allah pbuh and his family, and they are Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib, and no one else

باب تَحْرِيمِ الزَّكَاةِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَهُمْ بَنُو هَاشِمٍ وَبَنُو الْمُطَّلِبِ دُونَ غَيْرِهِمْ
Sahih Muslim 1071 c
Anas b. Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) found a date and said:
Were it not (that I fear) it may be part of sadaqa, I would have eaten it.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَجَدَ تَمْرَةً فَقَالَ
" لَوْلاَ أَنْ تَكُونَ صَدَقَةً لأَكَلْتُهَا " .
