Mishkat al-Masabih 420
Mu'adh b. Jabal said that he saw God’s messenger wiping his face with the hem of his garment when he performed ablution.
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ مسح وَجهه بِطرف ثَوْبه. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
