Chapter: What was narrated about the `Eid prayer being in the masjid when it is raining
(167)
باب مَا جَاءَ فِي صَلاَةِ الْعِيدِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ إِذَا كَانَ مَطَرٌ
Sunan Ibn Majah 1313
It was
narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“Rain fell on the day of ‘Eid
at
the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), so he led them in prayer
in
the mosque.
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا يَحْيَى، عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ التَّيْمِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ أَصَابَ النَّاسَ مَطَرٌ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ .
