Chapter: The person who wished he were a slave

بَابُ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَبْدًا
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 208
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, said, "When the Muslim slave performs the due
of Allah and the due of his master, he will have two rewards."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: الْعَبْدُ الْمُسْلِمُ إِذَا أَدَّى حَقَّ اللهِ وَحَقَّ سَيِّدِهِ، لَهُ أَجْرَانِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ، لَوْلاَ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَالْحَجُّ، وَبِرُّ أُمِّي، لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَمُوتَ مَمْلُوكًا.
