‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr said, “If anyone invokes blessing on the Prophet once God and His angels will grant him seventy blessings.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “No ablution is necessary except when one makes a sound or breaks wind.” Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Umm Salama said, “I offered the Prophet a roasted flank and he ate some of it, then rose to pray without performing ablution.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Abu Huraira said he heard God’s Messenger say, “The most excellent prayer after that which is obligatory is one in the depth of the night.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Samura reported the Prophet as saying, "Wear white clothes, for they are purer and better ; and shroud your dead in them." Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s Messenger as saying “Two qiblas in one land are not right, and no jizya is to be levied on a Muslim.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Abu Musa reported that God’s messenger said, “The heart is like a feather in desert country which the winds keep turning over and over.” Ahmad transmitted it.

He also said that the Prophet performed ablution and wiped over his stockings and his sandals. Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Al-Barā’ b. Āzib reported God’s messenger as saying, “Beautify the Qur’ān with your voices.” Ahmad, Abū Dāwūd, Ibn Mājah and Dārimī transmitted it.

Subḥānallāh. Walḥamdu lillāh. Wa lā ilāha illallāh Wallāhu Akbar Wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh. The good deeds which endure are: Glorified is Allah, and The praise is for Allah, and There is none worthy of worship but Allah, and Allah is the Most Great, and There is no power and no might except by Allah. Reference: Ahmad (no. 513) (Ahmad Shakir, ed.) and its chain of narration is authentic. See Majma'uz-Zawa'id 1/297. Ibn Hajar mentions it in Bulughul-Maram saying that Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim considered it authentic.

‘A'isha said that the Prophet did not awake after sleeping by night or by day without using the tooth-stick before performing ablution. Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “A believer’s soul is attached to his debt till it is paid.” Shafi‘i, Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “He who has intercourse with his wife through her anus is accursed.” Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

‘Abdallah b. az-Zubair told that God’s Messenger gave the decision that the two adversaries should be made to sit in front of the judge. Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Mu'adh reported the Prophet as saying, “Seek refuge in God from covetousness which leads to disgrace.” Ahmad and Baihaqi, in [Kitab] ad-Da'awat al-kabir, transmitted it.

‘Uqba b. ‘Amir reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Sahib maks, meaning one who tithes people, will not enter paradise.” Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it.

Zaid b. Arqam reported God’s messenger as saying, “He who does not take something off his moustache is not one of us.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Nasa'i transmitted it.

God’s messenger came to us once in Mecca and he had four plaits of hair. Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari reported God’s messenger as saying, "He who plays backgammon has disobeyed God and His messenger." Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Ibn ’Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) specified al-Aqiq (a part of `Dhat Irq) for those coming from the east.’ Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud and An-Nasa’i.

Ibn 'Abbas (RAA), The Messenger (PBUH) prohibited killing four creatures; ants, bees, hoopoes and shirkes.' Related by Ahmad and Abu Dawud. Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade two transactions combined in one. [Reported by Ahmad and an-Nasa'i. at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Ahmad and ad-Daraqutni narrated something similar, adding that he (SAW) continued to recite Qunut (supplication in prayer) in the Fajr prayer till he separated from this world.

He also reported God’s messenger as saying, “The Qadariya are the Magians of this people. If they are ill, do not visit them, and if they die, do not attend their funerals." Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

‘Amr b. Hazm told how, when the Prophet saw him leaning on a grave, he said, “Do not molest the occupant of this grave”; or, “Do not molest it.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Khuzaima b. Thabit reported the Prophet as saying, “God is not ashamed of the truth. Do not have intercourse with women through the anus.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it.

On the authority of Abu Mushir. He said: Sa'id, that is, Ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz said: The meaning of the word sirraha is "in the beginning of it (the month)"

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Seek refuge in God from the beginning of the year seventy and the governorship exercised by boys.”* Ahmad. *This tradition is direction against some of the Umayyads.

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s Messenger as saying, “God show mercy to a man who prays four rak'as before the afternoon prayer!” Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Ibn `Umar reported God's messenger as saying, "The infidel will drag his tongue a league and two leagues with people treading on it." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying this is a gharib tradition.

Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, “Water is pure and nothing can make it impure”. [Ath-Thalatha and Ahmad who graded it Sahih]

The Prophet (saw) kissed one of his wives and went to pray without performing (fresh) ablution. [Reported by Ahmad and Al-Bukhari graded it Da’if (weak)].

Anas (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Fight the disbelievers (polytheists) with your property, yourselves and your tongues.” Related by Ahmad, An-Nasa‘i and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “When you put on your clothes and when you perform ablution begin with the right side.” Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Sulaiman b. Surad reported God’s messenger as saying, "He who dies of an internal trouble will not be punished in his grave.” Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Umar used to say, “Your raising of your hands is an innovation. God’s messenger did no more than this,” meaning that he raised them to his breast. Ahmad transmitted it.

Buraida reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The covenant between us and them is prayer, so if anyone abandons it he has become an infidel.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Umm Salama said, “God’s Messenger observed the noon prayer much earlier than you, but you observe the afternoon prayer much earlier than he.” Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Abu Mahdhura said that the Prophet taught him the adhan as consisting of nineteen words, and the iqama as consisting of seventeen words. Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, Darimi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

He said that God’s Messenger gave them this command, “When you are in the mosque and the call to prayer is made, none of you must go out before he prays.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Marthad b. ‘Abdallah said one of the companions of God’s messenger told him that he had heard him say, “The believer's shade on the day of resurrection will be his sadaqa.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah said, "A believer‘s soul remains suspended according to his debt until it is settled or paid off on his behalf". Related by Ahmad and At-Tirmidhi.

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, "When it is the middle of Sha'ban do not fast (until it is Ramadan).” Related by the five Imams, but Imam Ahmad declared it to be a weak narration.

Jabir (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "If a large quantity of any beverage intoxicates, then a small amount of it is prohibited." Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

Abu Sa'id Khudri (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The (legal) slaughtering of the fetus is included when its mother is slaughtered." Related by Ahmad and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

al-Aqra' is the period of a woman's purity (which occurs between two menses). [Malik, Ahmad and an-Nasa'i reported it in the course of a story with a Sahih (authentic) chain of narrators].

"It is not permissible for a woman to dispose anything of her wealth if her husband is responsible for her." [Reported by Ahmad and the collectors of as-Sunan except at-Tirmidhi and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Matar b. ‘Ukamis reported God’s messenger as saying, “When God decrees that someone should die in a certain land, He gives him a reason for going there." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

‘A'isha said, “If anyone tells you that the Prophet used to pass water standing, do not believe him. He never passed water but when sitting.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and Nasa’i transmitted it.

‘A'isha reported God’s messenger as saying, “The tooth-stick is a means of purifying the mouth, and is pleasing to the Lord.” Shafi‘i, Ahmad, Darimi and Nasa’i transmitted it, and Bukhari transmitted it in his Sahih without an isnad.

Rafi' b. Khadij said God's Messenger was asked what type of earning was best and replied, “A man’s work with his hand and every business transaction which is approved.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Ibn Mas'ud reported God’s Messenger as saying, "Even though usury be much it leads in the end to penury.” Ibn Majah and Baihaqi, in Shu'ab al-iman, transmitted it, and Ahmad also transmitted it.

Ya'la b. Murra told of hearing God’s Messenger say, “If anyone seizes land to which he has no right he will be made to carry its earth at the resurrection.” Ahmad transmitted it.

He reported the Prophet as saying, “Both life-tenancy and giving property which goes to the survivor are a gift which belongs to those who receive it." Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Muhammad b. Hatib al-Jumahi reported the Prophet as saying, “The distinction between what is lawful and what is unlawful is the song and the tambourine at a wedding.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Hajjāj narrated to me, he said Ahmad- and he is Ibn Yūnus- narrated to me, Zā’idah narrated to us, on authority of Mansūr and al-Mughīrah, on authority of Ibrāhīm that al-Hārith was imputed.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Kill the two black things during prayer, the snake and the scorpion.” Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Nasa’i has something to the same effect.

Abu Umama told of Abu Dharr asking God’s Prophet to tell him what the reward for sadaqa would be, and receiving the reply, “Many times as much, and more still with God.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Abu Huraira told that God’s messenger saw a man following a pigeon and said, "A devil is following a she-devil." Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah and Baihaqi, in Shu’ab al-iman, transmitted it.

“No spell is to be used except for the evil eye or a scorpion sting.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, and Ibn Majah transmitted it on the authority of Buraida.

Nubaisha reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone eats from a dish and licks it, the dish will ask forgiveness for him.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

A’ishah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said to her, “If you die before me, I will wash you myself.” Related by Ahmad, Ibn Majah and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "There should neither be harming (of others without cause), nor reciprocating harm (between two parties)." [Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Majah].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "People of two different religions do not inherit from one another." [Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a except at-Tirmidhi].

Abu Musa reported God’s messenger as saying, “When the bier of a Jew, a Christian, or a Muslim passes you, stand up for it. You are not standing for its sake, but for the angels who are accompanying it.” Ahmad transmitted it.

"Yahya bin Adam narrated to us, he said: "Malik narrated to us from Zubaid, from Dharr, from Ibn Abza.'"

Zaid b Khalid al-Juhani reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone observes two prostrations without being negligent in them, God will forgive him his previous sins.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Wabisa b. Ma'bad said that God’s Messenger saw a man praying alone behind the row and ordered him to repeat the prayer. Ahmad Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a hasan tradition.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone perseveres in praying the two rak'as of the forenoon, his sins will be forgiven him, even if they are like the foam of the sea.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Ibn 'Abbas said he heard God’s messenger say, “Any Muslim who gives a Muslim a garment to wear will be in God’s safe keeping as long as a shred of it remains on him.” Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, “He who wears grand clothes in this world will be made by God to wear humble clothes on the day of resurrection.” Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

“He who has himself cauterized or uses a spell has exempted himself from trust in God.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, “There is no Wudu for one who does not mention Allah’s Name upon it. [Reported by Ahmad, Abu Da’ud and Ibn Majah with a weak chain of narrators].

'Amro bin Shu'aib narrated on the authority of his father, who reported on the authority of his grandfather (RAA) that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “The Zakah of the Muslims should be collected by their water trough.” Related by Ahmad.

'Aishah (RAA) narrated that Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said, "Forgive the people with high moral values when they slip but not what calls for the infliction of Hudud." Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, An-Nasa'i and Al-Baihaqi.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Make marriage publicly known." [Reported by Ahmad and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

The Prophet (SAW) appointed Ibn Umm Maktum (RA) to lead the people in prayer in his absence and he [Ibn Umm Maktum (RA)] was blind. [Reported by Ahmad and Abu Dawud].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Gold and silk are lawful for the females among my followers, but prohibited to the males". [Reported by Ahmad, an-Nasa'i and at-Tirmidhi, who graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Abu Dharr reported God’s messenger as saying, “He who separates himself a handbreadth from the community has cast off the rope of Islam from his neck.” Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Abu Sa'id reported God’s messenger as saying, "Two people should not go together to relieve themselves and uncover their private parts and talk, for God is angry with that.” Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Abul Malih b. Usama quoted his father as saying that the Prophet prohibited the use of the skins of beasts of prey. Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it; and Tirmidhi and Darimi added that they may be used as rugs.

Samura b. Jundub reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone performs ablution on Friday, well and good; but if anyone bathes, bathing is more excellent.” Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and Darimi transmitted it.

Buraida reported God's Messenger as saying to ‘Ali, “Do not give a second look, ‘Ali, for while you are not to blame for the first you have no right to the second.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it.

Abu Umama reported the Prophet as saying, “If any Muslim happens to look at a woman’s beauties and then lowers his eyes, God will produce for him an act of worship whose sweetness he will experience.” Ahmad transmitted it.

The Prophet (saws) said: (The standard) weight is the weight of the people of Mecca, and the (standard) measure is the measure of the people of Medina.

Abu Dawud said: Al-Firyabi and Abu Ahmad have also transmitted from Sufyan in a similar way, and he (Ibn Dukain) agreed with them on the text. The version of Abu Ahmad has: "from Ibn 'Abbas" instead of Ibn 'Umar. It has also been transmitted by al-Walid b. Muslim from Hanzalah. This version has: "the weight of Medina and the measure of Mecca."

Abu Dawud said: There is a variation in the text of the version of this tradition narrated by Malik b. Dinar from 'Ata' from the Prophet (saws).

‘A’isha said she heard God’s messenger say, “zakat is never mingled with any property without destroying it.” Shafi'i, Bukhari in his Ta’rikh, and al-Humaidi transmitted it, al-Humaidl adding He said, “Sadaqa will have been incumbent on you and you will not pay it, so what is forbidden will destroy what is lawful.” Those who hold that the zakat is connected with the property itself have used this as an argument. It is given thus in al-Muntaqa. Baihaqi transmitted in Shu’ab al-iman from Ahmad b. Hanbal with, his isnad to ‘A’isha, and Ahmad said “mingled” means that a man accepts zakat when he is opulent or rich, whereas it is only for the poor.

How many rak'ahs would the Messenger of Allah (saws) pray observing the witr ? She said: He used to observe the witr with four and three, six and three, eight and three, and ten and three rak'ahs never observing less than seven or more than thirteen.

The narrator Ahmad added in his version: He would not observe the witr with two rak'ahs before the dawn. I asked: With what would he observe the witr ? She said: He would never leave it. The version of Ahmad does not mention the words "six and three (rak'ahs)".

He reported God's messenger as saying, “The black stone descended from paradise whiter than milk, but the sins of the descendants of Adam made it black." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying that this is a hasan sahih tradition.

Ibn ‘Abbas said that when the Prophet recited, “Glorify the name of thy most high Lord,” (Al-Quran; 87) he said, “Glory be to my Lord most high.” Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Talq b. ‘Ali al-Hanafi reported God’s Messenger as saying, “God does not regard the prayer of a servant who does not straighten his spine between his bowing and his prostration.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Ruwaih' reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone invokes a blessing on Muhammad saying, ‘O God, cause him to occupy the place near Thee on the day of resurrection’, he will be guaranteed my intercession.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported the Prophet as saying, “Were it not for the women and children who are in the houses I would make the evening prayer congregational and command my young men to burn what is in the houses with fire.” Ahmad transmitted it.

Allah’s Messenger (saw) sent out a military expedition and commanded them to wipe over the turbans and leather socks. [ Reported by Ahmad and Abu Da’ud. Al-Hakim graded it Sahih (sound)].

Mahmud bin Labid (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “The thing I fear most for you is the lesser shirk (polytheism), showing-off (of good deeds).” Related by Ahmad with a good chain of narrators,

Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘ Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) held a horse race and made the destination from the fully grown ones at a longer distance Related by Ahmad and Abu Dawud. Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said ,”Prize money is allowed only for racing camels, shooting arrows or racing horses.” Related by Ahmad and the three lmams. Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

He said, "Verily! Allah, the Most High, will not do anything with the affliction your sister imposes on herself. Command her to cover her head and to ride, and to fast three days."

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Neither the prescribed punishment nor retaliations should be executed inside the mosque." [Reported by Ahmad and Abu Dawud through a weak Sanad (chain)].

I heard Allah's Messenger (SAW) saying, "There are no two Witr (prayers) during one night." [Reported by Ahmad and ath-Thalathah and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Subḥāna dhil-jabarūti, walmalakūti, walkibriyā'i, wal`aẓamati. Glory is to You, Master of power, of dominion, of majesty and greatness. Reference: Abu Dawud 1/230, An-Nasa'i and Ahmad. Its chain of narration is good (Hasan).
