Fine Qualities
`Ali reported God's messenger as saying, "If I were to appoint anyone as commander without [need for] consultation I would appoint Ibn Umm `Abd."
Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَنْ
عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُ مُؤَمِّرًا مِنْ غَيْرِ مَشُورَةٍ لَأَمَّرْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ
