Chapter: One who drinks khamr repeatedly

باب إِذَا تَتَابَعَ فِي شُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ
Sunan Abi Dawud 4482
Narrated Mu'awiyah ibn AbuSufyan:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If they (the people) drink wine, flog them, again if they drink it, flog them. Again if they drink it, kill them.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِذَا شَرِبُوا الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبُوا فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبُوا فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبُوا فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ " .
